• Establish, implement and
maintain a relevant Injury and
Illness Prevention Program and
update it periodically to keep
employees safe (Title 8 CCR –
section 3203)
• Inspect workplaces to identify,
correct or abate unsafe and
hazardous conditions
• Make sure employees have and
use safe tools and equipment and
are properly trained on the use of
the equipment
• Establish or update operating
procedures and communicate
policies so employees follow
safety and health requirements

6. Employee’s Responsibility
• Follow all lawful employer
safety and health rules and
regulations, and wear or use
prescribed personal protective
equipment while working
• Report hazardous conditions to
your employer
• Report any job-related injury or
illness to your employer, and
seek treatment promptly
• Cooperate with the CAL/OSHA
enforcement personnel when
they are conducting an
inspection if they inquire about
safety and health conditions in
your workplace
