“Please would you pass on our huge
thanks for a wonderful day recently. Our
members were delighted with the food,
the volunteers and their banter and the
added [unplanned] excitement!
As I mentioned to you I think, this was the
first trip that I have run - and I've done
the coach trips for over 40 - that sold out
within one day. Obviously they knew just
how good it was going to be. It lived up
to everyone's expectations.
Thank you all for doing what you do. ” –

5. “The walk from Bedford to Kempston along the river was great. We had
our picnic near the quay and were all ready for our cruise in plenty of
time.
We were greeted by your wonderful volunteers who did all they could to
make our trip as pleasurable as possible.
The cruise was a great experience which was truly enjoyed by one and
all.
Please on behalf of all our members accept our thanks. You are all doing
a great job and may you continue to have a successful season.” Nita

7. “Thank you so much for being accommodating with
our booking of the boat trip on Thurday 14th July, the
children enjoyed in immensely especially as none of
them have ever been on a boat before.
I also wanted to pass on my thanks on behalf of my
staff and the children to the volunteers on the boat.
They were very accommodating and very nice to the
children. All of the children we took on the trip have
Severe and Complex Needs and this can present with
unpredictable behaviour however everyone on the
boat just left us alone to deal with the children, which
is exactly what we would have wanted. All the
passengers were lovely and asked us about the
children and just treated them as normal passengers.
At the end of the trip you volunteers allowed us to
disembark first and the passengers gave the children a
round of applause for being so good on a long boat
trip.
In short, thank you for a lovely day out on the river and
please pass on our heartfelt thanks to all your
volunteers.” – Dave Mingay, Richmond Hill School
