FAQs
Ques. What is the basic eligibility criterion to get admission in B.Tech?
Ans. Candidates are required to pass the 10+2 level in the science stream (PCM/PCB) to get
admission into B.Tech course. However, basis percentage criteria differ as per the college.
Ques. What is the admission process for B.Tech in IITs?
Ans. Admission to B.Tech in IITs happens in the following stages:
● Appear for the JEE Main Examination
● If qualified in JEE Main, appear for the JEE Advanced Examination
● Obtain All India Rank (AIR)
● Apply to JoSAA Counseling for the seat allocation process.
Ques. What can I do with a Bachelor of Technology or BTech?
Ans. Candidates can make a career in different fields after graduating in B.Tech, such as
Software Developer, Information Technology Consultant, Business Analyst, Computer Network
Architect, etc. Candidates can also opt for higher studies.
Ques. What is the scope of B Tech in information technology?
Ans. The B.Tech in IT (Information technology) focuses on the field of computers and
technology. It differs from Computer Science engineering in this aspect because in CSE
students are expected to learn management and information theory; while BTech Information
Technology includes a detailed study of programming and of computer software.
Ques. Which branch of B.Tech has more scope?
Ans. The most popular branch of engineering is Mechanical Engineering followed by computer
science, Electrical, and Civil. There are also other engineering branches such as Chemical,
Aerospace, Biotechnology, Aeronautical, Industrial, Instrumentation, Marine, etc. which have a
good scope.
Ques. Is B.Tech a good choice?
14. Ans. Yes, B.Tech is a very good choice and course for students with creative and technical
minds. It also provides you with great career opportunities in so many fields.
Ques. Does IIT, or NIT have a lateral entry?
Ans. No, IIT or NIT doesn't provide lateral entry admissions. Candidates can take admission in
only the first year after qualifying for JEE Main and JEE Advanced.
Ques. Is B.Tech easy to pass?
Ans. No, B.Tech is an easy course anyone can do; only if they are very passionate about
engineering otherwise it’s a tough course to crack. With constant focus, dedication, and concept
clear learning method, one can easily pass B.Tech.
Ques. Can an average student do a B.Tech?
Ans. It is not necessary that a student should be a topper to do a B.Tech. The average student
can also do B.Tech if they’re passionate about technical aspects of Engineering.
Ques. Which is the best field for the future of B.Tech graduates?
Ans. B.Tech graduates can get into the following fields that are in demand:
● Technical Jobs
● Engineering Jobs
● Financial Services
● Education Arena
● Business Services Jobs
● Sales Jobs
● Consulting Jobs
● Middle Management Jobs
