Nintendo created a console that allowed gamers

users share videos across the globe. The

GPS began with a much smaller infrastructure and
network than it enjoys today. And though it became
commercial in the late nineties, it wasn’t until 2005
that GPS with full satellite coverage was opened to

YikeBike is a folding electric bicycle out of New
Zealand. The rider sits on the seat, holds on at the

Apple did it again in 2010 by launching it’s the
tablet PC, the Ipad. It was by no means the first
device. Apple’s new iPad pro is aimed at
enterprises as a replacement for computers.
Electric cars are still considered a bit of a fad, and there
are only around 30 mass production highway-capable all-
electric passenger cars on the market today, but the
environmental benefits continue to make them an
attractive option for many. The world's top selling
highway-capable electric car is the Nissan Leaf, with
global sales of over 200,000 units in 35 countries.
Google is yet to launch its driverless cars,
but it began testing the vehicles in
California earlier in 2012, and has indicated
to roll them out broadly by 2017. These car
have a top speed of 25mph.
Eliodomestico Solar Water Distiller
Freelance designer Gabriele Diamanti created
this solar-powered distiller for use in coastal
areas in the third world that are deprived of
freshwater. It is half as expensive and 67%
more efficient than existing models.

3-D printing pen
3-D printing has been around for quite
some time now, but the 3Doodler is the
world’s first 3-D printing pen. This
unique gadget makes 3-D printing
portable. Created by Peter Dilworth and
Maxwell Bogue. It uses Poly-Lactic
Acid (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) to
create three-dimensional pictures. The
pen melts the plastic (available in
different colors) and once it is cooled it
forms a solid 3-D strucutre.
Volvo Solar Pavilion
The Volvo Solar Pavilion is a
flexible pavilion that has
numerous solar panels on its
surface. The pavilion connects
to the car just like any power
outlet and uses solar power to
charge the car’s battery.
Google Glasses
Google Glass is probably the
most notable tech
achievement of 2013. With
this gadget, sci-fi has become
reality and users can take
pictures, make videos and
access the internet without
even having to reach into
their pockets.
