(NRI Angels)
Introduction

growing rapidly. We have two Angel Investment Networks:
1. SL Angels
2. NRI Angels
SL invites you to join NRI Angels, The Angel Investment Network for NRIs and PIOs living
abroad.
Research Associate
Research Associate is the work from home job that is offered for people who wish to work in
flexible timing. This is a permanent role that will allow you to learn, sharpen your skills and
grow with one of the fastest growing companies in the World. This role is suitable for stay at
home mothers and people working from home during the Covid-19 times.
Mandatory Requirements

2. The candidate could be a fresher or a college student, or may have experience of any field
and/or any industry. Also, the candidate should have minimum first 500 connections at
Linkedin. Additionally, the candidate should be able to search on LinkedIn, Connect with
people and interact with them. In case the prospect requires jumping on a call, then the
candidate should be able to fluently communicate with the prospect.

 Experience of connecting with people at LinkedIn
 Minimum 500 LinkedIn connections
 Fluent in English – Written & Spoken
Work Process
The candidates will be working for NRI Angels that is an Angel Investment Network. An Angel
Network is platform for Angel Investors who invest in Startups. We provide the opportunities
of investment in Startups at early stage to the investors.
You have to connect with Indian people who stay abroad and offer them opportunity to invest.
The prospect should have surplus money to invest in startups and should be interested in
joining as a member of NRI Angels. This membership has a refundable fee of US$500.
You have to take the name, phone number, email id of the prospect and the suitable time to call
from the prospect. This lead should be passed to our Investment Banking team, they will call
the prospect and you will get the salary/stipend/incentives as per the compensation plan.
Listing the mandatory requirements of a prospect (that you have to find):
 Must be living abroad
 Should be employed in a good company or self-employed/business
 Should be interested in investing in startups
 Should be aware about the refundable membership fee
 Should be an NRI or PIO.
 Should have a valid LinkedIn profile

3.  Should be willing to jump on a call with our IB team
 Should speak English/Hindi
Compensation
Salary: INR 30,000 pm. This is a fixed salary all-inclusive, to be paid monthly on 7th of next
month. The fixed salary shall be paid after the completion of training period.
Training: There shall be training period for the first 3 months. The stipend for the training
period shall be INR 15,000 per month, during the training period. This stipend is subject to a
minimum performance of 150 verified leads to be generated.
Incentives: You will be paid an incentive of Rs. 100 per verified lead.
Note: In case you fail to generate 150 leads in a calendar month, then only the incentive shall
be paid. However, in case you generate 150 or more leads in a calendar month, then you will
receive the stipend and incentives above 150 leads at the mentioned value of Rs. 100 per lead.

5. Steps to be followed
1. Update your LinkedIn profile as “Research Associate” and select “StartupLanes.com” as
your current Employer there. This is important to build trust while you connect with
potential investors. Update your city as per the city allocated to you by StartupLanes.
You will be working in the same city (e.g. Boston, London, New York).
2. Connect with people who have Indian names of 60s, 70s and 80s generation like
Narendra, Pramod, Ashish, Neha, Rahul, Sakshi etc. who live abroad.
3. Start interacting with them and offer them investment opportunities in startups through
NRI Angels.
4. Inform them about the membership fee.
5. Ask for his/her contact detail and suitable time for call.
6. You now have a lead.
7. Submit this lead to our IB team.
8. An Investment Banker will call the prospect.
