3.) ENSURING PATIENTS’
PRIVACY RIGHTS ARE
MAINTAINED.
3. What’s YOUR Responsibility
• Only share patients’ information
when required for treatment.
• Don’t talk in public about patients’
medical information
• Don’t leave charts around where
anyone can pick it up.
• Don’t leave computer screens up or
open where people can gain access
to patients’ information
• Don’t share any patients’ information
unless patients given written
permission.
• Following HIPPA PRIVACY
