Teach For India conducted a longitudinal study from 2012-2016 to track student growth over time in TFI classrooms compared to non-TFI classrooms. Using a quasi-experimental design, they analyzed the difference in test score gains between the two groups and found that students in TFI classrooms had statistically significantly higher gains in English and math scores after the first year than students in regular classrooms.

1. LONGITUDINAL STUDY - ABSTRACT
 In 2012-13, Teach For India initiated a longitudinal study in collaboration with Columbia
University and Educational Initiatives. In conducting a 'longitudinal' study, we are
essentially committing to track and measure how our students are growing over an
extended period of time (July 2012 to March 2016).
 We analysed impact using a quasi-experimental ‘Difference in Differences’ study design,
which compares gain in test scores of students in TFI classrooms (Treatment Group)
with that of students in comparable non-TFI classrooms (Control Group).

 The results from the first year of the study are positive and establish that the gain of
Treatment Group is statistically significantly higher than gain of Control Group of
students.
