How did you use media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages?
1. How did you use media technologies
in the construction and research,
planning and evaluation stages?
2. Blogger
• Blogger played a major part throughout our
coursework due to the fact we used the
website as a blog to update and put up
each process; research and planning stage,
production stage and the evaluation stage
as well. Blogger was mainly used to type up
each and every detail of what we were
doing for example, while preparing to film
for our music video, we had to type up an
shooting schedule, upload a picture of our
music video story board, what props we
were going to use and who will be in our
music video and a whole other variety of
things. We also had to use it to show the
developing of things such as the magazine
advert and the cd packaging.
3. iMovie
• iMovie helped us out when it came to
editing and creating our music video and
our rough cut. It was a very useful and easy
program to use once you got the hand of it.
The program was even more helpful
because you didn’t need to save the project
you were trying to create, it would just
automatically be there every time you open
the program. We were also able to use
different effects and transitions to make
our music video much more effective, for
example, we made the whole of our music
video black and white and the memories
and home videos are all in a blurry bubble
to show that they are just films of what
happened a long time ago.
4. Photoshop
• Photoshop helped out when it
came to editing the pictures I
needed for my magazine
advert and cd packaging. It
made the pictures look much
more professional and
natural. It provides some
effects to use for editing
pictures which makes it much
more helpful for example;
posterize effect.
5. inDesign
• inDesign was a program I used
to produce and make my CD
Packaging and my Magazine
Advert. It made the two
products look more
professionally done up. inDesign
also provides users with
templates to make CD Packaging
which were very useful and
helpful. I have never used
inDesign before but found it
fairly easy to use once after
watching the videos on youtube.
6. Powerpoint
• I didn’t use the PowerPoint
presentation during the research
and planning stages and the
production stage as I didn’t need
to until it came to the evaluation
stage as it shows that I am using
different styles of program to
produce what I have learnt
throughout the stage of creating
my final music video and digi pack.
As I have been using PowerPoint
for a long time now, I was very
quick to produce a presentation as
I knew where everything was ad
how to use everything on the
program.
7. Prezi
• I have only used Prezi once in this
course and that was only towards
the end when it came to question
2 of my evaluation question. I
have used prezi many times
before to produce presentations
of different topics and they are
very effective. It grabs the
audiences attentions very quickly
as the templates are very eye –
catching. You can also change and
edit the template however you
want to and add your own
images. The flow of the end result
is very clever and interesting.
8. SlideShare
• Slideshare is a website to use
when you are using powerpoint
to produce a presentation, but
want to put it online for
everyone to view. It just simply
make your own account and
just upload. I haven't used slide
share for this course before but
used it to publish this
presentation, although I have
used a couple of times before
then.
