Shawn Artis is a visual artist based in Houston, Texas. He has over a decade of experience teaching art and serving on advisory boards. Some of his many honors and achievements include winning third place in the 2022 Citywide Exhibition hosted by the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston and being featured in exhibitions at the Houston Museum of African American Culture. Artis has exhibited his work nationally and locally at numerous galleries, museums, and festivals. He is included in several permanent collections and has participated in various art, film, television, and radio projects.
