Manufacturing eco friendly cleaning detergents and distributing them
through agent operated detergent refill stations

We believe in a South Africa that has economically and
environmentally sustainable townships and rural areas.
Our Vision is to be South Africa’s largest cleaning detergent refill
products Micro-franchisor that will promote green living and self
employment, in low-income communities.
OUR MISSION
Triple Shine uses an environmentally friendly and innovative
approach of empowering Village/Township Detergent
Entrepreneurs (youth and women) to establish Affordable Triple
Shine micro-franchises distributing refill cleaning detergents.
We aim to build a sustainable unemployment solution by
providing business-in-a-box solutions to South Africa’s emerging
micro entrepreneurs.
THE BIG PROBLEM
• Most people in rural areas are unemployed and there is no waste
removal services In rural areas, there is a lot of plastic bottles lying
around at dumpsites and people’s homes. An average family uses 4
Plastic bottled detergents a month, amounting to 48 plastic bottles
disposed within their households per year. What if only 4 recyclable
eco friendly bottles could be reused and be refilled 12 times a year?
Then plastic bottle waste will be reduced by 44 bottles a year by only
one family and the price of detergents will also be reduced cutting
out the cost of packaging from the cost price of the detergent.

THE BIG SOLUTION
• Our company’s Solution is to produce eco-friendly cleaning detergents for selling
to resellers as well as sell reusable detergent bottles that consumers can refill
with our household cleaning products, such as hand soap, dish soap, all-purpose
cleaner, window cleaner and bleach. To recycle their plastic bottles customers can
also use their own containers instead of ours and we will have a return for
deposit policy as well as a refill policy on our plastic bottles in order to encourage
people to not dispose the plastic bottles. We will also be addressing the issue of
unemployment by hiring people in rural and township areas to become our
reselling agents and earn an income from sales. Refilling Stations will work in
rural areas because already have a culture of buying refill paraffin, Milk and
Achaar (Pickle). Refill is cheaper and a better option.

Triple Shine Target Market
• Triple Shine is targeted at rural and township communities, where
waste management and sanitation is still a crisis to be solved. Most
households earn very low income and will find refilling their
detergents as a better cost saving opportunity and also helpful means
on ways to reduce littering of plastic bottles from their landfills.
Triple Shine Distribution Channels
• Triple Shine Cleaning Detergent Refill Stations are operated by agents
who live within rural and township areas who are looking at making
an income by distributing Triple Shine Detergents within their
community, operating from their homes or Spaza shops.
Minimum Viable Product
• The minimum viable product is to first buy wholesale bulk private
label detergents from existing manufacturers for reselling to a focus
group to test the business model and its viability and profitability.
Once it shows to be successful, I will run a small factory at home in
my garage starting with a small mixer machine to at least produce
1500 litres of detergents a day.
Social Impact Measurement
• Every Bottle Refilled is a bottle saved from the landfill
• Every Agent joining is an agent self – employed.
• Every Community reached is a green community counted.
