classroom can now so easily be shared. They don't just live on the
iPad. So many teachers are concerned with how they get things off
the iPad and share them. The Makewaves app is the perfect tool.'

MW – online comm that makes it safe & easy for schools and pupils to share what they make with a real audience. Schools set up and manage their own site within the Makewaves community – Teachers are Publishers, Pupils are Reporters.Every time a pupil submits content they can easily see how many views it has, likes, comments.Over year or so two MW developments that schools have really enjoyed using are the app (app of the year) and badges for rewarding achievement.
Pupil page – friends, follow, all own content, badges.

Schools are already using MW to connect with parents. Example. Following demand from schools creating a parent community on MW so parents can have accounts. Also, creating a new parent app with DigitalMe.
This is the current iPhone/iPod app. New iPad app can be downloaded from iTunes.
Working with Mozilla Firefox this year to introduce badges to the community to reward achievement and engagement. Since Jan 13 – above badges awarded in first three months. Requests from pupils how to get badges when they see their friends have them.
