To Whom It May Concern:
I am pleased to be able to provide this recommendation for Mr. M. V. Sharath. This past year I
had the opportunity to see Mr. Sharath while he was a student in our graduate program at the
University of Texas Arlington and while we was part of our research team working at the
University of Texas Southwest Medical Center.
Mr. Sharath has been an excellent student and strong researcher. During the summer he was
involved in our study looking at community resource gaps contributing to elevated levels of
diabetes in Dallas County. Mr. Sharath took the lead in developing geospatial maps to identify
community medical, nutrition, and recreational assets, and then comparing these assets with
patient medical status. His work has been instrumental in developing our understanding of the
role communities play in chronic care plans.
I am glad to have the chance to provide this recommendation for Mr. Sharath. He has been very
successful in his work with us and I have every confidence he will continue this success in the
future.
Sincerely,
Paul J. Componation, Ph.D.
Professor and Chair
