Committee (SAQCC)
The South African Qualification & Certification
Committee (SAQCC) was established to ensure
that servicing and maintenance of fire protection
equipment is conducted according to the
specifications laid out in SANS 1475, and that
technicians have the correct training, qualifications
and experience.
The Institute of Fire Engineers (IFE)
The Institute of Fire Engineers (IFE) was
established to promote, encourage and improve
the science & practice of fire engineering, fire
prevention and fire extinction in South Africa. IFE
upholds professional standards within all public
and private sectors.

SANAS PRESSURE TEST STATIONS
High pressure testing of extinguishers can only be undertaken by SANAS
approved pressure test stations. As per regulations introduced by the
Department of Labor.
