1. STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
I, VivekKarki, have dependably been occupied with Business and accounting studies right from an
earlyage and saw myself asa personwhoiswillingtoprosperinthe knowledge of modern Business
studies and that is why in 2016 after successful completion of my HSC from Kathmandu Model
Higher Secondary School, Nepal I made up my mind to study abroad, although I know that the
rigorousacademicenvironment of overseaswill present a lot of challenges but I need to overcome
them all and attain the breakthrough performance and that is why in order to reach that level of
competencyIneedto pursue a Bachelor’sdegree from overseas andthattoo fromAustraliawhichis
Bachelorof Business specialisation inAccountingandgethighlyqualifiedasIbelieve that the course
structure inNepal forbusiness studies are somewhat limited to theoretical knowledge only rather
than overseas degree having practical implications also with good real-life application exposure. I
choose to studyinabroad because the qualityof local educationdoesnotmeetthe global standards
and the value of an international certificate provides an extra edge for students to secure a better
job in their home country. For this reason I would like to pursue my Bachelor of Business in
Accountingat Stott’sCollege asthis College has a very good reputation in Australia and recognized
for its excellence in business related programs like my proposed course and possesses a good
academicstandard. I believethiscanplay a significantpartinmyfuture life whenIwill start my own
business.StudiesinAustraliainBusinesswould provide me the unique combination of accelerated
growthand the flexibility. Hence tocarry forward my academicknowledge tothe same areaI further
needtoenrol in Bachelor of Business specialisation in Accounting at Stott’s College for March 2017
intake. With such degree, I wish to pursue subjects that will give me a deep understanding of the
several differentaspectsthat will gointo creating a successful business. I always aimed from a very
earlytime toestablishmyownbusinessbutonlyafterIgainconsiderableexperienceandknowledge
at a global level.Iwould like to expand my own business by venturing into newer areas. However,
for thisI needtostudythe market,strategize, seek funds and get a through grasp on the intricacies
of runningasuccessful business.Iamconfidentthata businesscourse from Stott’sCollege will help
me achieve these goals. In my findings from their website I came to know that in this particular
course graduateswill be well-equippedwiththe professional knowledge and skillset required for a
successful career in accounting roles across the commercial and public sector. This program will
encompass the taxation,auditingandconsultancyskillsrequiredtoexcel in this industry. A rigorous
and stimulating accounting program designed to produce work-ready graduates with the tools to
make key business decisions and an understanding of how taxation, macroeconomics and market
principles will intersectwith accountancy. Stott’s College has a global reputation in Australia for its
excellence inprofessionalprogramslike myproposed course and have engagement with the needs
of industry and the community. I understand that I have to put in painstaking hard work and
compete with best in the world to achieve my goals. I am sure that my interaction with the faculty
and peersat thiscollege will provide me an ample opportunity to learn and nurture myself. Thus, I
feel thatthe program offeredby Stott’scollege will surelyfulfill myneedsafterwhichIshall get back
to Nepal and start my professional career.

attractedme a lot.BeinginspiredbythatandbeingpersonallyconfidentaboutitImade up my mind

will provide me withawide range of practical knowledgeandskillsthatwill immenselybe usefuland

2. Australiahasa national regulatoryandqualitycontrol agencyfor quality education. Top ten world’s
most liveable cities are in Australia and it provides education with universal recognition. The
standard of education in Australia is unimaginable in an emerging country like India. Apart from
studyingstudentshave plentyof thingstodoand immerse inaglobal culture and traditions. People
are very welcoming and friendly here. The facilities for students, qualifications of the faculty,
standard of education, rich multicultural experience are unthinkable in my home country.
Considering all these facts I have decided to come and study in Australia and take back home a
professional degree and lifelong learning objective.
My previous study area and the proposed program area are quite relevant to each other and the
main objective to choose Bachelor of Business (Accounting) program is I want to be a skilled
Businessmanandestablishmyownbusinessbackhome.Ibelieve mypreviouseducation area,sheer
patience and immense dedicationtowardseducationwill helpme finishthiscourse withfull poise in
Australia.
As the above shows, I am highly motivated and ambitious in pursuing Bachelor of Business
specialisation in Accounting degree in Australia. By studying in the proposed program, I hope to
extendmyvisionand improve my Business knowledge. After completion of this program, I plan to
return to my home country and be a skilled businessman professional capable of dealing with a
broad range of people, companies, and related area complex situations. The Bachelor of Business
specialisation in Accounting course will enable me to achieve the goals I have set for myself and I
expecttohave a longcareer inthisfieldandbenefitawide range to my own company. In this way, I
hope to add to the general development of my country’s economy and become a leading
professional.
