The name Vodafone comes from voice data fone.
The evolution of 'Vodafone' brand started in 1982 with the establishment of
'Racal Strategic Radio Ltd' subsidiary of Racal Electronics plc – UK's largest
maker of military radio technology.
By initiative of Jan Stenbeck Racal Strategic Radio Ltd formed a joint venture
with Millicom called 'Racal Vodafone', which would later evolve into the present
day Vodafone.
It is the second largest telecom company of the world.

Vodafone brings to you ‘Say No To Crackers’ initiative which involves 50 school
kids between the age group 8-12 who will enact plays depicting the harmful
effects of crackers at different places amongst the city . They will hold banners
and walk around the city.
This initiative by Vodafone is done to increase the awareness among the citizens
of the ill hazards of fire crackers and there impact on environment and
deployment of child labour.

7. LICENSES & PERMISSIONS
One has to procure Premise license from police commissioner called
RANGBHUMI LICENSE -1 ,to host a venue/ perform in public place.
RANGBHUMI LICENSE -2 ,which says any act needs to be verified by a collector
or DCP who will read every single line of the play/act.
PWD /Public works dept. LICENSE need to be taken from tehsildar or from
local police office for moving van.
Other licenses which need to be procured from local police station,NMMC and
Fire department.
