2. The Nebraska Trucking Association
Seward Motor Freight began as a small company hauling freight between Omaha and Nebraska in
the 1940s. A family-owned operation, today, Seward Motor Freight has grown to deliver freight
throughout various regions in the United States (Midwest, Southeast, South, and East Coast). In
order to enhance its work and the industry, the company belongs to the Nebraska Trucking
Association.
3. The Nebraska Trucking Association
The Nebraska Trucking Association is the trade association for the state’s commercial truck
drivers, bus operators, and associated businesses. As with many associations, the Nebraska
Trucking Association provides members with resources including contacts, partnerships, political
representation, and information necessary to succeed in the state.
4. The Nebraska Trucking Association
The Nebraska Trucking Association got its start in the 1940 with the merger of two prior
organizations. In 1970, the association created a for-profit bureau that assisted truckers with
services including licensing, registration, and permits. Today, the association has transitioned into
becoming an advocate for those working in this industry.
