New changes in Express entry 2023|Good news for the
Aspirants of Canada.
Hey everyone, welcome to the blog. Today in this blog, we discuss the new changes in Express
Entry. We know that if a person wants to immigrate to Canada, the easiest way without a job offer
or other requirements is Express Entry.
It seems easy, but the selection is typical due to high competition.
Canada requires a skilled individual in a particular field. So it causes a loss to the Gov.
Recently Canadian government passed a bill known as a category-based nomination (BILL C-19).
Under this, some high demand Categories were announced.
Under these categories, an individual compete with other individual belongs to its field.
Categories
They are mainly six categories.
1. Health.
2. STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics).
3. Trade Workers.
4. Transport.
5. Agriculture/Agri-food.
6. French workers.
1. Health :
In Canada, there is a shortage of doctors. Even though health care is free, due to the lack of
doctors waiting time is more. A famous proverb that "Healthcare in Canada is a Double edge
sword".
Healthcare and Social Assistance category, making the job vacancy rate 6%.
The job vacancies per province were:
 Ontario: 55,250
 Quebec: 40, 105
 British Columbia: 17,705
 Alberta: 9,770
 Saskatchewan: 2,955
 Manitoba: 6,790
 Newfoundland: 2,250
 Nova Scotia: 4,780
 New Brunswick: 2,630
 PEI: 685
 Northwest Territories: 565
2. STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics).
These skills demand increasing day by day.
The average salary is high (35 $ to 36$/ hour
) when compared to other industries (15$ to16$/hour).
Its demand may increase very high in the future due to retirements.
3. Trade Workers
Here is an increased demand for wholesale, retail, plumber, electrician, etc.
Through this, you can easily immigrate to Canada.
Many Jobs are there.
The total wholesale trades job vacancies were 30,930, while the total retail trades job vacancies
were 108,795.
The job vacancies per province were:
 Ontario: 55,660
 Quebec: 34,495
 British Columbia: 19,215
 Alberta: 15,545
 Saskatchewan: 4,665
 Manitoba: 3,025
 Newfoundland: 895
 New Brunswick: 2,155
 Nova Scotia: 3,065
4. Transport.
Transport and warehouse jobs were reduced when compared to 2021 and 2022 statistics. Still,
there is a huge demand in this current situation.
The job vacancies per province were:
 Ontario: 15,110
 Quebec: 7,950
 British Columbia: 9,060
 Alberta: 6,445
 Saskatchewan: 915
 Manitoba: 1,915
 Newfoundland: 210
 New Brunswick: 720
 Nova Scotia: 1,055
5. Agriculture/Agri-food.
Here the situation is the same as above. But the requirement is there. Obviously, you know that
the work is in rural areas.
Agriculture, Forestry, Fishing and Hunting category had a job vacancy rate of 10,535.
The job vacancies per province were
 Ontario: 3,070
 Quebec: 1,950
 British Columbia: 2,475
 Alberta: 940
 Saskatchewan: 540
 Manitoba: 550
6. French workers.
It is a separate category. Here only the person who can Read, Write, and speak French are
eligible.
If you know what the French language means, you get Extra 50 points in Express Entry.
