Little Heroes Ground-Breaking Ceremony
This ceremony is open to the public.
Honorable Mayor Luge Hardman will kick off the ground-breaking ceremony by talking about the impact this
development will have on the community.
Date: Wednesday, January 11, 2016
Time: 4:00 – 4:30 pm
Location: Waynesville City Park
Little Heroes Playground will be Pulaski County’s very first universally accessible playground to be built in
Waynesville Park, downtown Waynesville. Many local organizations, financial institutions, and the generous
citizens of Waynesville, played a role in donating for the development of this playground. The equipment on the
playground will represent all five branches of our military and will be designed so that all children and families,
including wounded veterans, can play side-by-side.
We would like to thank our partner Unlimited Play of Saint. Louis, Missouri. Unlimited Play is a Saint Louis
area, non-profit organization that helps plan, build, and fundraise playgrounds accessible for all children to
enjoy, regardless of their disabilities.
Scheduled to open in late Spring 2017
