USO Teddy Bears - USO Gulf Coast will be offering free cuddly teddy bears to children in Mississippi, Alabama and
Louisiana parents currently deployed. Please email usogulfcoast@uso.org if you are interested in receiving a USO cuddly
bear for your child.
Seabee Museum needs your signs - The Seabee Museum in Port Hueneme, Calif. is opening a new exhibit in January
called "It Takes a Family to Deploy a Seabee." The new Seabee family exhibit highlights the invaluable support provided
by Seabee families, as well as the many means Seabees and their families use to stay connected. As part of this exhibit,
the museum would like to feature some of the hand-made homecoming signs that the family members post on the base.
The Museum would like both homeport locations represented. If you are willing to donate a homecoming sign to the
museum for this exhibit, please contact the Museum Director at seabeemuseum@navy.mil or call 805-982-5167. Shipping
costs can be provided for units not stationed in Port Hueneme.
Pancakes with Santa - Bring the family to have pancakes with Santa at NCBC McDonalds Dec. 15, 8 - 10 a.m. BBC will
pay for the kid’s breakfasts. Santa arrives by fire truck at 9 a.m.!
Navy Lodge Christmas Celebration - The Gulfport Navy Lodge (building 463) will be celebrating Christmas Dec. 15, 6 -
9 p.m. Bring your cameras to capture your child’s moment with Santa and his elves. We will provide snacks, blow up
jumpy houses and more. Unwrapped gifts will also be accepted as donations to Toys for Tots.
Balfour Beatty Elves - Did you know that if you are a Balfour Beatty Community resident and your spouse is deployed,
the BBC elves will assemble Christmas toys for you? If you need assistance, call the BBC maintenance line 228-284-1637
to schedule an appointment Dec. 18 - 20.
Marine Toys for Tots - Staff Sgt. Marvin Perez-Diaz, of I&I, 3rd Platoon, A company, 4th AABN on board NCBC is
coordinating the area’s annual Toys for Tots campaign. Your contribution of new, unwrapped toys or a monetary donation
would be greatly appreciated. Drop off boxes are located throughout Harrison, Hancock and Stone Counties, Keesler Air
Force Base BX and on board NCBC at the Navy Exchange and the Navy Federal Credit Union. Donations are being
accepted through Dec. 22. To make a monetary donation, or for more information on Toys for Tots, visit http://gulfport-

Biggest Loser Competition - NCBC Civilian (CIVBEEs) have challenged Keesler AFB civilians to a Biggest Loser Team
Challenge competition. The competition will kick off Jan. 14 at the Fitness Center during an introduction to Fitness Center
equipment. Anyone interested in participating in the six week-long competition must have a doctor’s release of good
health form turned in to their supervisor clearing them for an exercise program. Official weigh-ins will be conducted Jan.

LADD . . . Leaders Against Drunk Driving - LADD is a program sponsored by the NCBC/20th First Class Association.
The mission of LADD is to prevent drunk driving on board NCBC Gulfport by providing rides for any service member who
needs assistance getting home after an outing that involved alcohol. LADD is strictly confidential with no reprisal! LADD
volunteers will take individual home only, no stops. LADD volunteers who stand the watch are on call 24/7. It is always
important to have a plan in place when going out in town, but if your plans fall through, please call LADD and we will pick

~Women’s Fall Bible Study - Women’s Bible Study is held Wednesdays at 11 a.m. at the Seabee Memorial Chapel. The
Fall Bible Study is conducting a six-week study by Jennifer Rothchild, “Missing Pieces.” Free child care is available.

Protestant Services include a Gospel Service at 8 a.m. and Divine Worship Service at 11 a.m. Catholic Services include

~ Seabee Pantry – Donations are needed to stock the pantry for the holiday season. Donation drop-off sites are located
at the Navy Exchange, Chapel, Commissary, Fleet and Family Support Center and Armed Forces Retirement Home.
Everyone affiliated with NCBC can use the Seabee Pantry.
NCBC Branch Health Clinic Flu Immunizations - NCBC Branch Health Clinic has flu immunizations available for to
anyone with valid Government ID. Monday - Thursday 7:30 a.m. - 3 p.m., Fridays, 7:30 a.m. - noon.
