LA Metro 6th Street Viaduct Reconstruction, Los Angeles, CA
Scott drafted CAD drawings that display the geometry and details of the railroad tracks that would be
affected by the 6th Street Bridge demolition and the protection that will be used to ensure the tracks
will be undamaged during the demolition. He also helped compose a Construction and Maintenance
Agreement between the engineering firm, the contractor, and the railroad agencies that own the tracks.
Sassafras Preliminary Railroad Signal and Queue-Cutter Investigation, San Diego, CA
Scott reviewed survey footage for an at-grade crossing. Peak hour counts of pedestrian and bicyclist
crossings, preemption events, and queuing were recorded and used to determine if a queue-cutter
traffic signal should be installed to improve safety at the crossing.
ACE At-Grade Crossing Safety Improvement, Pomona, CA
Scott reviewed survey footage for several at-grade crossings. Peak hour counts of pedestrian and
bicyclist crossings, preemption events, queuing, and violations were recorded and used to determine
how safety at the crossings could be improved.
SCRRA Positive Train Control (PTC), Pomona, CA
Scott assembled pay apps, change orders, and progress reports for the design and construction of the
Positive Train Control system for tracks operated by SCRRA so that all expenses charged to SCRRA were
compiled and verified.

As a Track Inspector, Scott provided track related construction oversight during the pipeline replacement
in the Port of Long Beach former UPRR San Pedro Branch right-of-way. Scott is responsible for inspecting

As a Track Inspector, Scott inspects and monitors functions of railroad tracks and structures to make
sure they adhere to agency, federal and state regulations. Scott is responsible for measuring track gage
and superelevation at different locations of the tracks; inspecting turnouts, switches, roadbed, ties,
rails, train warning devices and compressed air facilities for any defects or workability. In addition, Scott
generates reports for the client based on FRA Track Safety Standards.
