2. Babur
(14 feb 1483 – 26 dec 1530)
• His actual name was Zaheer-ud-din Mohd. Babur.
• He was founder of Mughal empire
• After defeating Ibrahim lodhi in panipat 1 (1526), he became the king.
3. Himayun
(7 march 1 508 – 27 January 1556)
• His full name was Naseer-ud-din Mohd. Himayun.
• After the death of babur, he was made king.
• At the age of 22 he was unaware of state matters so, he lost his
empire in battle with sher shah suri.
• He scaped from there and in that period he lived in Afghanistan and
Sindh.
• He regained his empire after 15 years
4. Akbar
(15 oct 1542 – 27 oct 1605)
• Jalal-ud-din Mohd. Akbar was his name and called as Akbar in his
state.
• He was born in ‘Umerkot’ during the deportion of his father.
• When he was just 13 he was made king and ruled for over 50 years.
• His period is called golden age of Mughal empire.
• He founded a new religion named ‘Deen-e-ilahi’
5. Jahangir
(31 aug 1569 – 7 nov 1627)
• Noor-ud-din Mohd. Salim commonly known as Shahjahan
• His coronation ceremony was done on 24th oct 1605
• Famous for his love story with Anarkali
• He blinded his own son khusrau in punishment of rebellion
6. Shahjahan
(15 jan 1592 – 31 jan 1666)
• Shahab-ud-din Mohd. Shahjahan
• His period is called ‘Golden arcitacture age’
• He built Taj mahal in memory of his wife Mumtaz begum as her tomb
• In 1658, he felt ill and was prisioned by his son Aurangzeb
7. Aurangzeb
(14 oct 1618 – 20 feb 1707)
• Abul Muzzafar Muhi-ud-din Mohd. Aurangzeb
• Most cruel king among all Mughal emperors
• He confined his father and killed his brothers and nephews and a lot
of innocent people just to gain and grab the kingship
