I am writing this reference at the request of Samantha Clarke, who is applying for the position of Assistant
Manager at Wind Mobile. I have had the pleasure of knowing Samanthafor four years in my capacity as an
academic instructor at Brock University. Samantha and I have had regular contact in a teacher-student
relationship during each of those years.
Samantha has a number of strengths in leadership contexts.In particular, she sets an excellent example as she
consistently engages in the classroomwith a positive attitude and collegiality. As well, in numerous instances
Samantha has also provided me with very crucial feedback of how materials and academic activities have been
received, performing both student leader and liaison role.I have no doubt that Samantha will abl e to act in a
similar fashion in a managerial role.
Another important trait of Samantha is her ability to remain accountable and results-oriented.In my experience,
Samantha has been very reliable in terms of coming to classes prepared and meeting deadlines, showing a strong
degree of responsibility. I also know that Samantha has been able to considerably improve he r skills (e.g., report
writing), achieving stronger results in her work with each passingyear. These experiences with her have left me
very pleased to have Samantha in the university learning environment as I can expect her to predictably
assimilate feedback in order to improve her performance.
In conclusion,I would highly recommend Samantha for promotion at Wind Mobile. If her academic perfor mance
is any indication of how she would performin the available position,Samantha will be an even greater asset to
