To Whom It May Concern:
Very few students have impressed me like Sam Brandt. He possesses many characteristics that
will make him outstanding in any area he chooses. He is highly motivated, consistently
punctual and his attendance record at Miller-Motte College has been outstanding. He comes to
class well-prepared, actively participates in class discussions and goes above and beyond in
class projects which are always informative and interesting. He has consistently been one of
the top students in my General Psychology class academically. In addition, Sam was on the
Dean’s List at Miller-Motte College for the Spring Term.
Before enrolling at Miller-Motte College, Sam served in the United States Marine Corps from
2009 until 2013 where he served as a Field Radio Operator. He achieved the rank of Sergeant in
the Marine Corps. He did two combat tours in Afghanistan and received the Good Conduct
Medal.
Sam serves as a long distance coach with the Cape Fear Flyers and is a Board Member for the
Wilmington Road Runner Scholarship Committee. He is also a Wilmington Road Runner Club
Member. In addition, he serves as a Life Point Church Public Safety Team Member. He is also
currently employed part-time at Fleet Feet Sports as a Fit Specialist.
Sam not only excels academically but he also possesses the personal attributes and
communication skills that will make him successful. He has a positive outlook on life and relates
well to a wide range of people including school administrators, faculty members, his fellow
students and other individuals in the community. He is very mature, professional and helpful to
other people. He is also very well organized and everyone likes him and respects him. I have
never heard one negative word about Sam from anyone and he serves as a fantastic role model
for others, bringing out the best in them.
Sam Brandt represents the best of his generation and is recommended with confidence and
enthusiasm as a candidate that you should not overlook.
Sincerely,
Barbara S. Bray
