Elevator
1. Elevator
The buttons would absorb some
sound waves, but there are not a
lot of objects for the sound to
bounce off aside from the door,
walls and ceiling. The metal helps
reflect the sound waves.
Heat energy in the elevator that
rises make the sound louder.
As the recording was in a small
space, the sound quickly
bounced off the walls of the In the elevator the sound echoes
elevator making the sound slightly just like the sound in the
louder. corridor as they both are in
enclosed spaces and the sound
bounces off objects quicker.
The sound of the elevator absorbs some of the initial sound. There are also glass mirrors in
elevator that would reflect the sound also. The vibration of the elevator when moving may
disrupt some of the sound waves. There is more disruption in this recording compared to
the corridor recording but both of the recording’s decibels are increased due the refraction.
