3. david’s early career was spent working on a variety of residential and commercial projects
while living in britain. focused upon concept design, feasibility analysis and procurement
studies, he developed a strong understanding of the commercial factors which drive a
successful project.
on an invitation to join fitzpatrick+partners as an associate director in 2001, david was
responsible for the design, design documentation and administration of several commercial

thereafter with his promotion to director of design. david was instrumental in the growth
of the practice, providing leadership and developing long standing relationships across a
large client base. the experienced gained was invaluable in his decision to take the next
step in his professional development in establishing benson mccormack architects.
david’s unique design skills, coupled with an understanding of commercial drivers, create
innovative property based solutions that are further refined by a strong knowledge of
technology, ecology, environment and construction.

the architectural profession.

DAVID BENSON director GLENN McCORMACK director
for over 25 years, Glenn has earned broad experience in the design and documentation
of many projects in Australia and Asia, taking pride in delivering building projects of a
consistently high standard.
glenn’s career as an architect started in Sydney working on medium to large sized
commercial and residential projects and the conceptual design of commercial, retail,
hospitality and residential projects in Asia. glenn headed numerous design teams charged
with exploring development feasibility of many projects including mixed-use master
planning schemes and urban renewal developments.
glenn co-founded SDA International Architects in 1997. glenn was responsible for the design,
documentation and administration of many residential commissions ranging in scale from
large luxury dwelling houses to medium and hi multi-unit developments.
this experience provided glenn with a much stronger understanding for the commercial,
economic and political context underlying all development projects, making him the highly

after 10 years with SDA International, Glenn co-founded Benson McCormack Architects
to build on the experiences described above and put that experience into building an
