There is a concern in the private sector about the gap that exists
between the skills required in today’s workplace and those
exhibited by potential and incumbent employees. Businesses
have trouble finding and hiring people who have basic
employable skills and who are trainable for jobs.
Experts know that by 2020, more than 90% of all jobs will require
skill levels beyond those gained in high school. Almost all workers
will need training and education at the post –secondary level.
The Oregon redesign of their workforce system will benefit and
increase economic growth and reduce poverty.

individual needs, your timeline and the
specific steps you’ll take may vary.

Discuss your options
for
preparing to take the
assessments,
and brush up on your
skills
if needed. Take the proctored
assessments.
When you earn your
certificate,
update your résumé and
include the NCRC.
