More than 25 Years’ experience in Oil & Gas, Petroleum Refineries with major experience in
implementation of DCS, Process Realtime Database, Laboratory information Management Systems
and Environmental information Management System Projects.
Well conversant with the development and maintenance of Refinery MIS & automation applications.
Good leadership and interpersonal skills and ability to work with and lead a MIS project
implementation team.
Specific work experience with Aspentech MES and Supply Chain family of products, Labvantage
LIMS system and M/s IHS Essential Environmental Database Systems.
Possess extensive knowledge of process information management systems and led the
implementation projects from concept to implementation at 3 KNPC refineries.
Currently working on Aspentech Production accounting and Supply chain Scheduling applications for
optimizing the Supply chain operations of the 3 KNPC refinery operations and Local Marketing
Depots.
Involved in preparing the specifications for tenders, evaluation of Vendors Bids for the refinery
automation project. This required to draw up plans for procurement and implementation of refinery
information systems databases like Aspentech IP21 Real-time database, LIMS and EIMS
databases.
Involved in procurement, installation and system configuration of process real time database
Infoplus 21 (IP21) at KNPCs 3 refineries. It includes point development, custom definitions, process
calculations, Process Explorer & Web21 Graphics buildup, System configuration and interfacing with
other refinery MIS systems like SQL*LIMS and EIMS databases.
Involved in the design & development of LIMS template after studying the Lab workflow and
database requirements. Have acquired extensive knowledge of Oracle Forms and Reports
development. Led the project from concept to fruition being an active member in the LIMS
implementation project team at the 3 refineries of KNPC.
Actively participated in the upgrade of M/s IHS Essential Environmental Information System. The
project involved the upgrade of existing EIMS database and revamp of the EIMS custom developed
interface to Aspen IP21 real-time database. The custom interface was replaced with the IHS EIMS
data importer Gateway which consists of IP21-Oracle RDBMS-PI-EIMS gateway interface. Was
involved in the development of PI database and its interface with Oracle RDBMS. Also involved in
the development of Crystal reports to submit KNPC Environmental data to Kuwait EPA and other
governmental bodies.
Proficient in implementation of Aspentech MES family of products. Also involved in implementation
of various DCS systems (Honeywell, FOXBORO, DELTA-V & Honeywell Experion & TPS Gateway)
interfaces using the CIMIO-OPC interface.
Planning, Coordination, Execution of different refinery MES projects and preparation of tender specs
& budget estimations.
Managed and lead the project implementation teams on various MIS projects. Conversant with the
Safety of personnel and equipment through compliance with all KNPC HSE policies, procedures and
standards. Coordinate between the teams and served as the bridge between engineering,
procurement and Project Management teams & external consultants teams.
Have attended PMI trainings and various Managerial Courses like Communication skills, Team
Management, Leadership skills etc.
