player (male or female) to achieve the Career Golden Slam in the same calendar year. To this day, she still holds the record for being
the only player (male or female) to win all four slams at least four times.
After his French Open win in 1999, Andre became the second man to achieve the Career Grand Slam in the Open Era and the first
man to achieve the Career Golden Slam in addition to his gold medal win at the 1996 Olympics.
He holds the record for being the only man in singles to hold a Career Super Slam. It consists of wins at all four slams, Olympic gold
and a title at the year-end championships.
