The purpose of this study is optimize the operating conditions and increase the efficiency of natural gas sweetening process in Sirri Island gas plant unit. In this refining unit the sweetening of sour gas is done with a combination of 55% methyl Di Ethanol Amine in amine solution. Operating pressure and operating temperature for natural gas sweetening respectively are 53bar and 58c and we have to increase pressure of natural gas from 23bar to operating pressure (53bar). In this study, absorption tower is designed in two operating pressure of 23bar and 53bar by the HYSYS simulation software to review the pressure effect on tower performance and see concentration of HSS and CO2 in sweet gas in this two operating pressure. New idea in this optimization is the use of Piperazine and MDEA amine in operating pressure 23bar (without the turbo compressor) to view the best performance of the absorption tower for CO2 and H2S capturing.

The purpose of this study is optimize the operating conditions and increase the efficiency of natural gas
