Before: Extremely toxic and hazardous chlorine is being used for disinfection of water
After: Explored and developed new process (onsite electro chlorination), for generation of
Sodium hypochlorite (NaoCl) from common salt, used for disinfection of raw water
Tangible and Intangible benefits
 The potential risk of fatal/ major accident associated with bulk storage and
handling of hazardous chlorine gas is totally eliminated with onsite Naocl.
