Design is not just about making objects pretty. It's the process of understanding customer needs and then creating a product or service that addresses their unmet needs. Design-led companies realize that: all functions need to focus on the customer; design needs to happen throughout development, not just at the early concept phase; and you need to have design metrics to give leadership hard data on which to base crucial decisions.
