The Miami blue was thought extinct until it was rediscovered in 1999 .  In spite of  many changes  the Bahia Honda populace held on until 2010, when it vanished, maybe due to a combination of dry spell, cold temperatures, and being eaten by non-native green iguanas.  They was rediscovered  in Key West National Natural life Asylum in 2006. The are one of Florida most endangered species.  I love butterflies because  they're colorful with wings of distinctive patterns. I love how they change  from caterpillars to cocoons to butterflies. They have been an essential part of folklore in many countries,
especially Japan. Japanese culture views dragonflies as symbols
of swiftness and as a sign of summer and autumn. Dragonflies
have been a symbol of purity, activity, and swiftness for some
Native Americans. They are my favorite tattoo symbols. They
also mean transformation. It is a symbol of joy and rebirth.
