Team Size : 12
Duration : April-2013 - till date
Project Description:
Guided Referral application will be used by insurance carriers(Hartford) in early stages of claims management to
evaluate Vehicle damage. It will provide the best inspection path based on the loss evaluation score.
It starts with the first notice of loss (FNOL) and includes the gathering of administrative and vehicle data. It then
steps users through a series of questions to determine the likelihood of whether the vehicle is repairable or a total
loss also known as loss evaluation process. The result of this evaluation points to the preferred method of
inspection (MOI) to be suggested to the vehicle owner by the carrier.
Once an appropriate MOI is selected, an appraisal assignment can be dispatched for an estimate to be written.

Team Size : 12
Duration : 10 months
Project Description:
Jazz is a searching and discovery tool for Pearson assets. This web application is designed to provide instructors
with the ability to search through a large Collection of rich media assets and to use the results to construct and
download presentation materials to accompany their classes and lectures. Jazz can host a number of different
product offerings, each composed of a collection of assets published into Jazz from an enterprise Documentum
instance. As the product teams gather and create the assets they expect to publish to Jazz, they can mark up each
asset with key metadata that specifies the file type and format, assigns the asset to one or more subject and
product categories, and lists keywords that describe the asset's content. Jazz offers an easily updated,
personalizable and interactive experience with the content. Search results from Jazz will allow instructors to use

7. Project Description:
FT.com is one of the world's leading business information providers and the Internet partner of the Financial
Times. The website combines the values and authority of the Financial Times newspaper with the immediacy and
interactivity of the Internet. One of the challenges facing FT.com is with regards to authentication and
authorization of these third party web services. Financial Times wishes to address this challenge through a Data
Access Mechanism
Tasks undertaken:
1. Cookie based authentication using encrypted cookie
2. Eliminate multiple logins
3. Database is centralized at FT only and not in 3rd parties
The cookies were encrypted using MD5 algorithm and were dropped on client machines, so that other applications
except FTDAM cannot read the cookie values stored in client machines.
Another objective was to implement SSO (Single Sign On), so that users do not have to login at multiple places to
access data from the web services.
Third Objective was to centralize all the databases at FT sites only, anyone who wants to access the data is
required to first authenticate themselves at the FT sites.
