7. HOW OMSTAR WORKS
— Omstar DX1®, Residual® and OpenFlame® are a complex mixture of
synthetic esters designed for their use in combustion engines and
furnaces for different fuel types comprising from short-chain and long-
chain synthetic esters combined with a petroleum distillate carrier.
Omstar creates a chemical bond with any hydrocarbon fuel – gas,
diesel, biofuels, natural gas, and coal. The low molecular weight esters
react as a solvent, cleaning the injectors and as a boundary lubricant in
the cool portion of the fuel feed system. The high molecular weight
ester react as a synthetic overhead super lubricant which survives the
combustion temperatur.
— The Omstar competitors using large concentration of a
detergent/dispersant in their modern lubricating oils and additives to
fuels which may interfere with the chemisorbed layer reducing its
effectiveness of these additives.
8. ü IMPROVE COMBUSTION Omstar boosts the fuels Oxygen level, Cetane number
up to 5%, increases engine compression, lowers combustion temperature, creates
a chemical bond with harmful particles and converts them to energy; as a result
the more complete and cleaner combustion improves significantly the fuel
economy up to 27%, the reduction harmful pollutants up to 70% and the smoke
opacity up to 89% in reduction after one year of use.
ü REDUCE ENGINE WEAR - US Patent 4,920,691 for D-1280X (now DX1) issued in
May 1990 states,”… high molecular weight straight-chain carboxylic acid esters
survive the combustion in the cylinder and are available to react with the rings and
cylinder walls …this forms a metal soap which provides lubrication in the
boundary friction region and is a great improvement over conventional mineral oil-
based overhead lubrication. …” This process is called “Chemisorption” and it
extends engine life. Adds lubricity to ULSD (Ultra Low sulfur Diesel) reducing wear
of engine components - helps engines run cooler and more efficiently. Time
between overhaul for Los Angeles Airport Authority buses was extended from
300,000 miles to 400,000 miles because of DX1.

name Gamma88, decreased fuel viscosity by 5%, increased Cetane by 3.5%, and reduced
aluminum emissions by 14.5%.

SCAQMD performed a chemical breakdown of DX1 (formerly D-1280X) that presented all elemental
ingredients such as Si, Mg, Fe, Cu, Ag, Ni, Al, Ca, SA, with all “other elements” analyzed as “nil.”

E.W. Saybolt & Co. Inc. tested DX1 (formerly D-1280X) and found it increased Cetane (similar to
