Buffett Senior Healthcare Corporation
Abstract
In 2015 Summer, I have took a summer
internship in Buffett Senior Healthcare
Corporation. Our company is trying to lead
the future in senior market healthcare sales.
The particular division of Buffett Senior
Healthcare focuses on insurance sales to the
senior citizen Medicare market .
To achieve company’s goal, they will continue
to grow and expand rapidly, and make the
company size 10 times larger than they
currently are. My responsibility is to help
them find those people who are one of those
unique individuals that has the perseverance
and determination to succeed in Buffett
Senior Healthcare.
Learning goals/Objects
1. Evaluating effective resumes through
database
2. Learn some specific recruiting
techniques
3. Involve in resume screening and help to schedule potential candidate
for the interview
Materials/Methods
1. First, Before we evaluate people if they are qualified to our company, I
need to login to Buffett’s online resume database, and connect those
resumes to our talent network system.
2. After join those people to our network system, I need to send each of
them a document about our job fair and a questionnaire, get their
feedback, then communicate with my supervisor to see if those
candidates are qualified to our position (First interview).
3. To make sure those individuals can participate in our second interview,
I have to check with their time and put it into our scheduling system,
and try to find a best time for both the participant and company, then
schedule a second interview for them, organize and manage those
schedule materials.
4. Not only for the local job fair, we also have a program with HOH
(Hiring our Heroes). To hire veterans from all over the nation, I have get
into HOH’s resume database, and filtered qualified resumes from every
states for our company. And we also have chosen several most important
states to give those people more information about the job fair.
Conclusion
This internship gave me a sense about what a real
company look like, and enable me to communicate
and work with others to achieve our goals. It also
teaches me how to manage time so that I can do
different tasks at the same time, and finish my work
before due time. I really appreciate this opportunity
to work for Buffett senior healthcare, and I hope this
experience can help me to achieve my career goals in
the future.
