synopsis of editing from hot fuzz

1. Editing hot fuzz battle for Sanford
(dismounting horse scene)

2. The editor cuts from the villagers back to angel, and builds the tension for the
audience between him and the villagers. There is a pause before he gets off the horse
which adds to the atmosphere

3. The camera switches between the villagers and back to angel (and then back to his ex-partner
who seems unsure)even faster which raises the level of intensity for the
audience.

4. The editor highlights the disbelief in the villagers eyes and cuts back to Angel which shows
the audience the significance of his return.
• Angel makes his final approach as there is a shot from behind his right leg highlighting
his sidearm to the audience
• The top right image is right before angel spits out the toothpick and says good morning
which is where the the atmosphere reaches boiling point and gunfire erupts
