The aim of this study isto reveal the impact of electronic media in the formation of social
awareness among Jordanian university students (governmental and private). The sample was
selected to represent a two-dimensional study community: Al Balqa Applied University
(Government University) & Amman Private University (Private University). A random sample of
(585) students was selected. (392) students from Applied University of Balqa and (193) students
from Amman Private University. The study applied a questionnaire of 27 subjects to measure the
impact of electronic media in shaping the social awareness of university students. The results
found that the electronic media has influenced the formation of social awareness among Jordan
university students; The variable is due to the type of university for the favor of the students of
public universities and not to the gender variable.
