One of the critical programs of the ADL is the Glass Leadership
Institute, which trains promising young minds to become leaders in
the field of civil rights. When individuals are accepted into the
program, they spend 10 months learning about the ADL, preparing
them to become local and regional leaders for the organization.
While in the institute, participants learn about key issues involving
church and state, participate in the creation of anti-bias programs for
diverse venues ranging from educational environments to business
offices, and brainstorm effective strategies for combating hate.
3. Individuals also gain exposure to law enforcement
groups to understand how they are trained to combat
hate and have the chance to collaborate with elected
officials who fight for better policies on Capitol Hill.
Participants are chosen by ADL leaders and graduates
of the program. Applicants should have a clear
dedication to civil rights and political justice, as well as
demonstrated leadership abilities.
