1. My name is Rowan Davis. I'm 24 years old, a graduate of Staffordshire University, from England. I moved to
Sweden last year and I am currently looking for a job.
I have worked previously for Dixon's Retail, an electronics and hardware store specialising in their personal
approach and attention to customer service. My role was to assist customers with computing issues, set up
laptops and other devices, and also provide customer support in the form of dealing with enquiries and
complaints. I have also held several freelance positions. This required a great deal of close interaction with
the client to ensure that their exact requirements for the project were met. From these experiences I
developed my skills in dealing directly with people, and communicating clearly and efficiently. I take pride in
my ability to remain focused on service and client/customer satisfaction.
In university I took part in several group projects and societies. As such, I feel very comfortable working in
close contact with lots of people. I work best as part of a team where I can contribute my own efforts to a
larger goal. I have a very positive attitude and an ability to keep people around me uplifted and optimistic,
even when working under intensely stressful situations or under pressure. I cope exceptionally well with a
heavy workload, able to calmly keep focus and work through it while maintaining a steady and focused pace.
This is a skill I developed from university, working to meet project deadlines. I am highly motivated to work
and take great satisfaction in being proactive.
I understand much more Swedish than I can speak, however I have a basic grasp of the language which I
feel would be sufficient enough to communicate with co-workers in a professional environment.
I am completely flexible with when I can work, and able to begin as soon as is needed.
