RESEARCH PROJECT
“Experimental identification of material elastic constants of laminated composites using
Vibration Test Data”
1. Preparation of laminated composites with different fibers and matrices.
2. Fabrication of suitable fixtures for mounting of laminated specimens to simulate different boundary conditions.
3. Conduct Modal Analysis test on laminated composites to evaluate modal parameter such as natural
frequencies, damping and mode shapes.
4. With the vibration data on each laminated composite specimens, the required elastic constants are
evaluated with suitable equations derived
