Manufacturing Engineer I (Finishing Department)
 Led a team of 8 Technicians across 4 shifts for managing equipment and process sustaining
activities related to production output, production yield (99.15%) and process capability. 

 Work with Tech Seed team to roll out new process which improves the efficiency of products
manufactured and provide engineering support to satellite plants. A member of efficiency
improvement team with roadmap till 2016.

 Process and Equipment Owner for Finishing Department with process control, equipment
availability, work instruction and product quality as KPI.

 Acting as coordinator between management and manufacturing, by sustaining parameters within
specification and improvement projects executed on time.

 First Solar Recognition for NPI implementation with zero loss time/injury & meeting efficiency gain
to meet critical customer demand. Continuous improvement initiative to obtain plant wide above
average Machine availability of 90%.
July 2014- December 2014 Inari- Amertron Technology (Kunshan) Co. Ltd
Senior Engineer II (Test Department)
 Led a team of 10 Technicians and 2 other Test Engineers to manage 4 production lines across 2
shifts for test and taping at EOL (End of Line). 

 Achieved machine up time above 96%. This is 2% improvement on previous quarters. 1% above
targeted annual test and taping yield.

 Trained & promoted 2 operators to join the Test Dept.


Process improvement project
 Coordinator for cases related to Test Dept with Germany & Malaysia for Customer Complaints
and Process Improvement together with Quality dept. 

 3D reports are provided within 48 hours and 8D report within 96 hours to customer. Achieved
target in performing 3D to customer complaints within 48 hours.(8D refers to the problem-
solving method used. 3D is early part of response/report to the requestor.) 

Buyoff Reviewer for Test Department New Machines
 Production ramp up requested to be completed within 3 months. Buyoff exercise on 3 machines to
cover laser marking, test and taping process was conducted. Successfully maintained support from
supplier and achieved improvement plans within schedule. This success has improved company
production by 2million units each month.
2012 – June 2014 Agilent Technologies Microwave Products (M) Sdn. Bhd, Penang, Malaysia
Manufacturing Engineer (NPI Product, Customization and Quality)
Customized Project system built. This accounts for 30% of Dept Sales
 Responsible for delivery & introduction of test systems. Target in team is BOM (Bill of Material)
organization; develop integration process, manufacturing test and qualification plan customized
system for customers within 12 weeks. Sent to Germany & Tunisia with offsite support for customer
site installation & training. 

Value Engineer Project (System Optimization)
 Led a redesign on 20 year old legacy product. Team consists of a Production, System Application &
Quality Engineer. This component is core in all systems produced by the division. 

 The goal is to reduce the size of the component by 30% to achieve cost and space reduction which in
return maximize space usage in a system rack. Successfully conducted trial run the product with a
15% cost saving achieved. 


2013-2014 Agilent People Connect Swimming Club Vice President
 Supporting initiative of HR to create Swimming Club to provide an occasion for employee to socialize. 

 Successfully brokered collaboration with Penang Country Club for Agilent employees to access
swimming facility without the need to be a Club member. 
2013 Agilent Youth Enterprise
 Supported Youth Entrepreneurs sponsored by Agilent to understand a business organization and
production to create revenue. The goal is to win the state championship 
 Organized site visit and supervised product development. Ensured students abide by schedule and
took ownership of the various positions in an organization. Won the Best Report Award 

 Help the university with on and off campus events such as accommodation tours and education fairs. 
Gave potential university students advice from a student’s perspective. 
 First trial of Singapore Polytechnic Student Summer Exchange Program to Newcastle University.
30 Singaporeans from Singapore was hosted during summer. Being the focal point of contact for
concerns and ensuring their pleasant stay for 3 months. The program has since continued
