This document proposes the creation of a virtual laboratory for biomaterials processing and characterization. The objectives are to design 5 web-based experiments in nanocomposites and biomaterials to engage students remotely in these emerging fields and enable sharing of expensive equipment. The proposed experiments include super fast densification of nanocomposites and studying the influence of external fields on cell-material interactions. A budget of 40 lakhs is requested for hardware, software, manpower and contingencies. The proposal describes the virtualization process, target groups of PG students and researchers, and technologies used. Feedback will be collected and the learning outcomes are explained. A startup company is proposed to support production, deployment, scaling and maintenance after the project lifetime.
