Jerry is a customizable, open-source computer that can be built from discarded materials. It was created by Xavier, Laure, and Chemsedine to provide computing access and services through an affordable, reusable device. Jerry aims to fight the digital divide through cross-cultural social innovation and learning by doing. Various communities have built their own customized Jerry computers for projects like hosting video tutorials, managing SMS services, and sharing files using local Wi-Fi.
