Presentation of Chapter 2 of the book - "Top 5 Regrets of the Dying" - Authored by Bronnie Ware.
"I wish I hadn't worked so hard" is the 2nd most common regret which most people have when they are on the verge of death.
This presentation will beautifully explain the need to start maintaining a Healthy balance.
5. OBLIGE PEOPLE NEARING DEATH-
YOU WILL FEEL HAPPY TOO
• John is delighted when Bronnie agrees to accompany him
as his “girlfriend” for lunch at an expensive restaurant
• Dying people are very low on energy – Even a small outing
is like working an 80 hour week lifting bricks
• Family & friends don’t often realize how their well
intended visits can exhaust sick people, especially visits of
more than 5-10 minutes.
6. Enjoy your Life Today
• Margaret had asked John to retire when they were
both fit & had enough money
• However John said they would need more money &
continued working for next 15 years
• The chase of closing a deal had become an addiction
for John & he enjoyed the status the work gave him
• We spend so much time making plans for future –
assuming we have all the time in the world – when all
we ever have is our Life Today
7. MAINTAIN WORK LIFE BALANCE
– HAVE NO REGRETS LATER
• I gave less time to what truly kept me going through Life –
Margaret & family
• Her love & support was there but I wasn’t there for Her
• Just being a Good Person is enough in Life – Why do we
depend on others to validate us ?
• The Chase for More and the need to be recognized through
our achievements & belongings, can hinder us from real
things
8. Learnings – John & Bronnie

10. Learnings – Pearl & Bronnie
True Gentleness is
needed when
telling someone
that they are
terminally Ill
Be Thankful.
There is always
someone worse
off than you
By totally LOVING
what you do, you
become more open
to the flow of
money
WORK should be
like a natural
extension of
yourself.
Let go of all your
FEARS & have
FAITH.
Help does come
There is always a
Gift in every
challenge
Love doesn’t DIE.
Love is Eternal
Don’t waste you
time worrying about
Money. Focus on
your passion & put
in efforts.
Don’t REGRET.
Simply Forgive
Yourself.
12. A SIMPLE LIFE IS THE HAPPY
LIFE
• Charlie – 78 years old, with 2 adult
children – Greg & Maryanne, shared how
he & his wife lived a simple life
• Bronnie helped to resolve the conflict
between brother & sister – also asked them
“what they liked in each other”
• Bronnie shared how she was living a very
simple life physically
• Charlie realized he had not made his love
towards Greg very clear, which helped to
unite the whole family before Charlie’s
death.
13. LEARNINGS
• Happiest children are those who get time with parents (both the
parents, if possible)
• Meditation hugely helps to simplify our thinking, consciously think
better thoughts & create happier lives
• By clearing Physical belongings we feel more spacious inside as well
• We all have a Choice – To continue running behind the flashy lifestyle
or change our perspective & start living a simple, balanced life
