There are many channels that play
music videos. I will be researching on
the following TV channels:
 MTV
 4music
 ARY Musik
 8XM
 B4U Music

3. MTV
MTV is a music video channel that was
probably the first and most popular
television channel for music videos.
It is owned by Viacom International
Media Networks Europe.
The channel is a UK and Ireland based
one, though it has its roots in many
more countries.
MTV Music is a 24 hour music channel
playing non-stop music videos, live
performances and artist interviews.

4. MTV’s Sister Channels

5. 4Music
4Music is not only a music channel but
also an entertainment channel in the
UK and Ireland.
It is owned by Box Television. (Bauer
Media Group and Channel 4 television
corporation.)
The slogan for this channel is “Music and
then Some.”
4Music usually plays its songs in
countdowns e.g. Top 20 or Top 10
songs etc.

7. ARY Musik
ARY music is a music video channel
from Pakistan.
It was formerly known as The Musik.
It is owned by the ARY group.
The slogan of ARY Musik is “licensed to
thrill”
ARY Musik plays round the clock music
videos for all ages and all genres like
pop, rock, jazz, bhangra, classical,
romantic, soft and classical.
It plays Urdu, Indian and English songs.

8. ARY Musik’s Sister Channels

9. 8XM
8XM is a music video channel
broadcasted from Pakistan.
It was aired in 2011. It plays all different
types of songs.
It plays Lollywood and Bollywood
songs, both old and new.
It also entertains its viewers with funny
cartoon characters and their jokes.
It launched after the 9XM Indian channel.
Its slogan is “Duniya gol hai. 8XM anmol
hai.”

10. B4U Music
B4U Music is a music video channel.
It is owned by B4U.
It is broadcasted from the UK and India.
The channel broadcasts a mixture of
contemporary Bollywood, Indi pop,
Bhangra, and international music.
The channel is broadcasted worldwide in
many different countries.
