Welcome tothe “Art Zone”– the newestadditiontothe MidsummerMusicFestival.Ouraimisto merge
the experience of artand musicinour communityinan accessible andplayfulwayforadultsandmature
youth.
Before the festival begins,we willbe workingwiththe SmithersArtGallery and The Studio On Main to
facilitate the creationof acommunitygeneratedmosaic-stylemural.Keepaneye outformore
informationandcome make yourmark onthisproject!The completedmural will be displayedduring
the festival.
Duringthe MidsummerFestival weekend,the “ArtZone” will be open from10amto 6pm on both
Saturdayand Sunday. Come byand checkout our schedule - we will be offeringagreatselectionof fun
and creative activities;suchasworkshopstaughtbylocal artists,collaborative communityartprojects,
and a space to hang out and be creative.
We are also encouraginganyone wholovestobe creative tobringsomethingtheywouldlike towork
on.There will be manyartistspaintinganddrawingaroundthe grounds“en pleinair”,andanyone is
welcome tofollowtheirexample.Anyartcreatedon the groundsduringthe MidsummerFestival this
yearwill be invitedtobe partof a galleryshowingat The Studio On Main followingthe festival.
