The Michigan Virtual School™ Math & Science Virtual Summer Camps
engage students in the thrill of discovery while using mathematics
or science to figure out how things work. Students strengthen study
habits and deepen understandings that will give them a head start on
Michigan’s new high school graduation requirements. For those who
excel in math and science, the online camps provide
challenging, interactive enrichment activities that
will fuel their passion for discovery.
These two-week virtual summer camps will
be held in three sessions this summer. It is
expected that campers will spend a minimum
of two hours per day during the two-week
period working on the curricular material
Campers will use Gizmos, innovative, state-of-
the-art online simulations from ExploreLearning
that make learning easy and lasting. Gizmo activities are aligned to
Michigan Grade Level Content Expectations. Students will develop
a rich repertoire of skills and content knowledge necessary for fun
and success in the coming school year — all from the comfort and
convenience of their home computer or at one of the participating
math and science centers.
