Robert Kudlicki is being recommended for a scholarship by his English teacher, James Reed. Reed has known Robert's family for many years and describes Robert as a fine, respectful, and thoughtful young man. As one of Reed's peer leadership assistants, Robert is always prepared and helps facilitate activities without taking charge. He has also effectively led the peer leadership group and encouraged his volleyball team through verbal support and leading by example. Reed strongly believes Robert embodies the type of character that is needed and recommends him for the scholarship.

1. Dear Committee 3/23/14
It is my pleasure to recommend Mr. Robert Kudlicki for any scholarship for which he is eligible.
First, I have known Robert’s parents for many years and have watched him being raised. Robert
has grown into a fine, respectful, thoughtful young man.
Robert happens to be one of my three Peer Leadership assistants this year. He always comes in
to PL happy and prepared to engage with everyone. He is ready to step in if someone else’s plan
for the day doesn’t quite go as planned and helps facilitate without obviously taking charge and
stepping on anyone’s toes. As one of our senior leaders, he is actually responsible for leading
the whole group while my adviser partner, Mrs. Spyrnal, and I simply watch and admire the
growth in all participants. Robert has not only led our group effectively, but has practiced a
gradual release method so that other members may assume the mantle of leadership and follow
his model.
Aside from all that he does in my PL group, I have also seen Robert working with his volleyball
team. He is a leader on his team and encourages verbally while showing with his actions the
way things should be done.
I am very happy to recommend Robert for scholarship and believe he embodies a type of
character that the world needs. He takes care of himself after making sure others are taken care
of. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions about Mr. Robert Kudlicki or this
recommendation either at james.reed@d303.org or my cell 630.217.0110.
Sincerely,
James D. Reed II, PhD
