Tailings Treatment Slop Oil Treatment Drilling Fluids
Evodos overcomes 4 inefficiencies in standard centrifuges:
1) Long settling distance: A particle entering the bowl must
accelerate as it moves outward making a long settling
distance. Evodos plates reduce the distance to < 7 mm.
2) Maintaining laminar flow in a dynamic settler: Settling is
optimized under Stokes Law conditions, flow in Evodos is as
close to laminar as possible. Energy capture when
decelerating liquid effluent accelerates feed.
• Drilling fluids accumulate fine
clays that must be removed.
• Evodos DSP removes clays in
oil to 1 µm.
• >80% solids removal over a
range of diesel and synthetic
oil based fluids.
• d50 drops from 8 µm to 0.9

1) An efficient and robust discharge system: Evodos discharge
necessitates a semi-batch process but results in fully cleaned
plates, with low moisture cake and no packing-off.
2) Easy servicing: All high wear components are located in an
exchangeable cassette with full servicing completed by one
technician in under 3 hours. The cassette is refurbished at our
shop for the next exchange.
