MOVING BEYOND THE VEIL
Please note that the publishing style I have used, capitalizes certain
pronouns in Scripture that refers to the FATHER, SON and the HOLY
SPIRIT and it may differ from some other publishers’ styles. Please take
note that out of respect to the TRIUNE GOD, all references made to GOD,
has been capitalized in full. Thus, I have done this even to the point of
violating certain grammatical rules.
The Scriptures states that we need to respect and honor those rulers who
have been placed above us. Although Satan is not superior to GOD, he is
still currently ruling over the earth. Even though I do not abide to his rules
that violates the Scriptures, by printing his name according the
grammatical rules, I wish to respect and acknowledge his power he has
been given (for a short while) to rule this earthly domain. It is only in GOD
and through GOD and through GOD’s grace that I am made more than
him. Without GOD, I am nothing compared to him and have I no personal
power or authority to stand against him and it is thus with this respect that
I have written about him, wherever I had to mention him. Also please take
note that the names of GOD have been used interchangeably with the
proper Hebrew name. Therefore, when I refer the RUACH HAKADESH, I
refer to the HOLY SPIRIT. When I refer to YHWH, I refer to GOD the
FATHER and YESHUA refers to JESUS, HIS Son. Even though I
acknowledge that YAH is an abbreviated form of the name YHWH, I would
however for the purpose of this thesis refer to YAH as the Triune GOD,
namely GOD the FATHER, JESUS HIS SON and the HOLY SPIRIT, so as
to avoid any confusion when I make reference to GOD, the FATHER and
the Triune GOD.

MOVING BEYOND THE VEIL
About the Author
Rinette was born in South Africa and raised in Namibia in a household where both her parents had a
relationship with the LORD. She grew up during her first 6 years first in a theological seminary and
then later in a church environment where her father was the minister and her mother part of the
mission’s committee. This has not only resulted in her developing a deep love for the church and its
people, but it is also where she started to gain a deep insight into the workings of the church. Her
experience, combined with her strong observation skills, resulted in developing a strong love for the
LORD from an early age and those years can be marked as the foundational years on which everything
else was built.
She gave her heart to the LORD at the tender age of 4 and then, at the age of 12 received her calling to
enter the full time ministry sometime in the future. This calling was soon followed by confirmations
from several strangers over the course of the next twenty years of her life. And she started to actively
prepare herself for this calling. At the age of 14, over the Pesach/Easter weekend, during a church
service, she responded to an invitation which was extended by her pastor and got baptized. Co-
incidentally, exactly a year later, at an Easter camp, while the pastor was still busy preaching, she was
baptised by the HOLY SPIRIT.
Between the ages of 14 and 18, during her high school years, she experienced a period of extreme rapid
spiritual growth which was clearly evident as she began to actively minister to her fellow peers and
teachers. During those years she had several stage dance performances, ministered to her friends at the
school’s dance, opened the morning class session with Scripture and prayer, joined the school’s
journalist team and ministered to her teachers and classmates via oral and essays. Ultimately, at the age
of 17 and 18, she shared the Word of GOD in the school hall to approximately a thousand students and
teachers. However, it was her way of life, the manner in which she practised what she preached and the
unwillingness to compromise her faith just for the sake of receiving good academic marks; that
ultimately served as the greatest means through which she ministered and witnessed to all around her.
During this same period, she also used her time to become actively involved in various church activities
which included: various evangelistic campaigns, joining the worship team, becoming a Sunday School
teacher, choreography of some of the Sunday School plays and starting intensive research in regards to
various so called “secular” music such as Rock, Hip Hop and Heavy Metal. She was also the first in her
church to learn the art of prophetic dancing by attending various courses and introduced it to her
Pentecostal church. Having learned this art, she was presented with a multiple of opportunities to dance
at various churches on stage.
After school she continued to be actively involved in various evangelistic outreaches and was
approached by various Christian institutions to assist them in this regard. These institutions included the
Book of Hope and the AEB. She also facilitated a children’s home cell group, hosted her own children’s
holiday workshop and was part of Child Evangelism fellowship.
Rinette got married directly after she finished school. A year later her first son was born and two years
later her second son was born. Both of them are now in their early teenage years. Regrettably her
marriage with her husband only lasted for a period of 10 years, but the divorce procedures and
everything after that went peacefully. She and her, now former husband, still have a peaceful
relationship with each other and in many ways they can be regarded as being long-distance friends.
P a g e | 9
MOVING BEYOND THE VEIL
After her divorce she devoted her time to completing her theological studies and has, at the time of
writing this book, been ordained as a pastor, completed her Honours degree in Ministry and is busy
finishing her Master’s Degree.
On 20 September 2013 she became the founder of her own inter-denominational, non-church based
ministry with the sole purpose of providing support to churches in the areas of consultant, speaker,
conference facilitator, choreography, prophetic dancing, in various areas of training (e.g. ushers and
worship) and in all areas of evangelism and outreaches. She has also been involved in the training of
several women in prophetic dancing.
Her church experience extends from the extreme conservative to the extreme charismatic. She has been
involved in various churches which includes (but are not limited to) the Baptist, Dutch Reformed, The
Church of the Nazarene, The Full Gospel Church of GOD, The Apostolic Faith Mission, charismatic
churches and other churches that believe in the five-fold ministry. She has a broad range of work
experience in the fields of worship, Sunday School, evangelism and other outreaches, marketing, admin,
facilitator, conferencing, usher, providing training in various fields, stage work, incl. preaching and
dancing and aiding and serving the church in all other ad hoc tasks as and when needed. She also flows
strongly in the prophetic and apostolic anointing.

MOVING BEYOND THE VEIL
PREFACE: MOVING BEYOND THE VEIL
Moving Beyond The Veil refers to the act of entering into the throne room of GOD where HIS
manifesting presence not only becomes tangible, but also visible in your life to such a degree that not
only you, but also others will start to notice this presence in your life. Many charismatic’s refer to this
as an “open heaven”.
Another way I can describe this is by referring back to the Old Testament to the Tabernacle of GOD.
The High Priest moved into the place called the Holy of Holies into the very tangible, manifesting
presence of YAH. This they achieved by moving beyond the veil or curtain that separated the Holy
Place from the Holy of Holies.
An even simpler way to describe this is by comparing it with a bride. In the not so distant past, it was
the custom of the bride to wear a veil that covered her face until her bridegroom or newlywed husband
removed this veil and kisses her on her lips.
And this is exactly what happens when we move beyond the veil. When we move beyond the veil, the
veil that has caused a separation between us and our BELOVED, is being lifted up. Behind this veil,
before this veil is being lifted up, is a hidden beauty – the beauty of the Bride. Behind this veil hides the
true reflection of the beauty and glory our BELOVED, YESHUA HAMACHIACH. Behind this veil
hides our true love, joy and admiration for the ONE who literally gave HIS own life to save ours. But
when this veil is being lifted up, all of this is (from time to time) being revealed to all the guests, on a
lucky few occasions to the world out there, and all of the time to our LORD. When this veil is being
lifted, our eyes are open a fresh. We get to see our world in a completely different light and we get to
see what we could not see before and therefore we receive revelation upon revelation upon revelation.
When this veil is being lifted even the fogginess in our intellect and mind is being lifted and we
therefore grow into a deeper understanding and relationship with JESUS. When this veil is being lifted,
we literally move into HIS tangible presence and do we get to experience the rare chance of a true
love’s kiss.
For the Bride to get to the point where she moves beyond the veil (or have the veil lifted), asks from the
Bride to go through an extensive preparation process and to exercise even more faith. Still, at the end of
the day it is not what the Bride did or did not do that determines whether that veil gets lifted or not, but
rather if the BRIDEGROOM accepts her or not, for only HE is allowed to lift that veil. The WORD of
GOD says in Ephesians 2:8 – 10 (Amp) “For it is by free grace (GOD’s unmerited favour) that you are
saved (delivered from judgment and made partakers of CHRIST’s salvation) through [your] faith. And
this [salvation] is not of yourselves [of your own doing, it came not through your own striving], but it is
the gift of GOD; 9) Not because of works [not the fulfilment of the Law’s demands], lest any man
should boast. [It is not the result of what anyone can possibly do, so no one can pride himself in it or
take glory to himself.]”
And so it comes that the Bride, after she has done all the manicures and pedicures and facials and
beauty treatments, that she ends up walking down that aisle to the altar, in faith, hoping and trusting
that, when the preacher extends an invitation to her BRIDEGROOM to accept her as HIS wife that HE
would say: YES!!!
P a g e | 11
MOVING BEYOND THE VEIL
At this very moment YESHUA (JESUS) is also waiting very anxiously for us to come down that aisle
and we do not need to wait for death to come or the rapture to happen to experience Heaven. We can
experience Heaven on earth, for when JESUS is residing within you, when you are filled with HOLY
SPIRIT, Heaven is in you and therefore this Heaven can be unleashed into this earth. It is HIS deepest
desire to romance us, to share with us HIS heart and some secrets too. It is HIS heart’s desire to share
with us real time of intimacy. It is really HIS desire to manifest HIMSELF, HIS power and glory
through us to the world. All it asks from us is a bit of physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual
preparation as well as love, obedience and faith and you are all ready to experience the big moment you
have been waiting for so long – the moment where this veil is being lifted. The moment you move
beyond the veil.
For the purpose of this book, I will give you some basic guidelines on how to worship GOD in such a
way, that it would be pleasing to HIM and in doing so help you make this journey easier (maybe even
shorter) and so much more exciting. I trust that this book will help you unlock the heavens above you
and that you will truly get the chance to experience HIS manifesting presence in your life.
JESUS really wants to meet us and HE really wants to lift the veil from our eyes and minds and HE
REALLY wants us to experience the touch of HIS o so sweet lips.
And HE is waiting…

MOVING BEYOND THE VEIL
INTRODUCTION: THE OBSTACLE COURSE
The first issue I would like to address is the obstacles in this life that stops us and prevents us from
moving beyond this veil. Some common causes are unforgiveness, rejection, pain, circumstances and
life itself. Other contributing factors are fear, a guilty conscious that constantly condemns us, the feeling
of being too insignificant or unworthy, Satan’s lies, the inherited desire to remain in control, our
personal believes, our music, the way we worship GOD, our desire to seek worldly pleasures and the
lessons life, our family and social environment has taught us.
Moving beyond this veil isn’t an easy journey. It is like when a man finds a treasure on a small piece of
land and then sets out to sell all he has so that he may be able to buy this piece of land (Matthew 13:44).
For example, let’s look at the life of Moses. Before Moses was able to experience YAH’s manifesting
presence and even get a glimpse of HIM, he literally had to sacrifice everything. For instance we see:
1) That Moses had to sacrifice his very comfortable life in the palace of Pharaoh and exchanged it
with an extremely uncomfortable life in a tent in the desert.
2) He had to sacrifice his position. He, who once was known as one of the princes of Egypt,
became a mere shepherd and stranger in a foreign land.
3) He had to sacrifice his country – the place he was born and grew up in – for a country he only
heard about.
4) He had to sacrifice his social life. He, who once enjoyed a big circle of friends and parties, had
to end up being satisfied with sheep for company.
5) He had to sacrifice his family three times. First was when he as a boy had to leave his mother’s
house to go and stay in the house of Pharaoh. Then he had to sacrifice that family for the life in
the wilderness. He also had to sacrifice the family he received during his 40 year stay in the
wilderness, to follow GOD’s command to go and help the Israelites escape from Egypt. This he
had to do without knowing how GOD was going to use him. He had to change his diet from
being used to eating fine delicatessens to eating the food the wilderness provided him with.
6) He had to say goodbye to the people of Egypt and the Israelites and say hallo to a nation or
nations he might have barely met before.
7) He had to let go of the Egyptian way of doing things and learn to do things in the way people in
the wilderness would do.
8) He had to let go of the way he perceived and viewed GOD. The first time this happened was
during the first 40 years he ventured in the wilderness. The second time came about when YAH
spoke to him from a burning bush. The third time was during the time the ten plagues hit Egypt.
During this time he had come to the realization that the gods of Egypt were not what he thought
they were. He also learned that those people (e.g. the sorceress, wizards and Pharaoh) he once
feared, weren’t as fearful, scary and powerful as he thought they were. He also came to a new
understanding and realization of how powerful and mighty his GOD, the GOD of Israel, YAH,
really is. The fourth incident where he had to let go of his presumptions ideas and views of who
GOD was, was during his several ventures up on to the mountain after the Israelites escaped
from Egypt.
9) He had to let go of his pride, arrogance and having the need to be in control of everything all the
time. He had to let go of his fears and insecurities and had to learn to trust GOD for everything
and that included protecting him and the Israelites, providing in their needs, providing him with
wisdom, saving them from the hand of Pharaoh and helping them escape from Egypt. And while
he was in the desert for the first 40 years, he, in essence had to die within himself. All his
P a g e | 13
MOVING BEYOND THE VEIL
dreams had to die. All his hope had to die. All his ambitions had to die and he had to let go of
the condemning sentence that was hanging around his neck: “I am a murderer”.
In return, Moses received a new family and a much bigger one at that. He had the opportunity to see a
giant fall (Egypt and Pharaoh). He was restored to a title higher than the one he had before. He was
restored to a fame bigger than the one he had (his name has been made known through thousands of
generations and has been mentioned in even more books and other social media). He had firsthand
experience of seeing GOD’s power manifesting on earth. He had the opportunity to experience how
GOD worked through him (he who once were a nothing) in a mightily and powerful way. And he
experienced GOD’s tangible presence on a regular basis. He and GOD had an extremely deep and
intimate relationship with each other. Moses knew what it meant to move beyond the veil.
A life of disobedience is a huge factor that hinders us tremendously on our journey to moving beyond
the veil. I can give you for instance a thousand pointers on how to get beyond this veil, but if you are
not going to follow them in accordance to GOD’s instructions (i.e. apply these principles when and how
HE tells you to apply them), it means nothing.
Another very successful tool Satan uses to stop us is fear. A fear for what people, family or friends may
think or say, a fear for the unknown, but especially a fear to let go of that which you regarded as yours,
because the journey to GOD’s throne is a journey that requires absolute trust, obedience and even more
faith.
During my own walk I felt many times as if I was walking in a pitch dark, cold valley where I couldn’t
see anything, couldn’t feel anything and sometimes I even struggled to hear, but during these times I did
only one of two things: I used my ears. I listened to GOD and walked in faith and obedience to what HE
said and when I couldn’t hear HIM I did nothing. I made no decisions or did anything out of the
ordinary. I just waited upon HIM. And the way I listened to HIM was by HIS WORD, the promises HE
made, but mostly I was driven by my heart. Did I have peace? Did I have the motivation, the courage
and strength to do what I thought I had to do? If I didn’t experience HIS supernatural strength or a peace
and knowing that really can’t be put into words, I simply did nothing. But in all of it, I discovered that
somewhere in my life I simply had to let go. I had to let go of my rights, I had to let go of my furniture
(GOD is still providing for me in this in a very supernatural way), I had to let go of what my parents
expected from me and to obey their every command (as much as I love and respect them), I had to let go
of my beliefs, the people I loved so much, my fears, but most of all, of all my hopes, dreams and
ambitions. But a moment in HIS presence makes it all worthwhile and as it is, GOD is (as it was with
Moses) busy restoring my life.
However, the biggest and most successful obstacle Satan is using to stop us from moving beyond this
veil is the way we worship GOD.
In regards to this subject, GOD HIMSELF has taught me a lot about worship itself. HE has taught me
the various styles of worship that currently exists in the world, HE taught me about the various cultures
that are currently reigning within our worship life and HE has taught me how HE desires to be
worshipped. Over the last 30 years HE has taught me how to engage, through worship, into spiritual
warfare and how the prophetic anointing fits into this whole picture.
Therefore, the information I will be sharing with you in the rest of this book comes from a life where I
have walked a very personal road with YHWH for about 30 years now. Out of this 30 years, more than
P a g e | 14
MOVING BEYOND THE VEIL
20 years have been spent in doing intensive research, attending various worship courses, classes,
seminars and studies and gaining practical, firsthand experience in literally every subject I would be
mentioning in this book. Over the years I have learned how to find and experience YHWH in my inner
room, while driving from point A to point B, in the restaurant, on the pavement and while enjoying a
beautiful sunset. And yes, I have been in Heaven and I have been transported by the SPIRIT of GOD, in
the spirit and in the natural to another place.
There are various factors that influences the way we worship GOD. However, the three main factors
that influence our style of worship are: sound (this includes music and all verbal communication); body
language (including all body movements) and sign language (symbolism) and all of these has a
prophetic component to it which I will also briefly touch on in this book.
Some other components I will touch on over the next few chapters are:
• The value, significance and power of symbolism;
• How music influences our behaviour and our worship;
• Worship styles;
• And our prayer life.
Due to the fact that dancing before GOD contains all three of the factors (sound, body language and
sign language), I will be zooming in and devote a chapter or two specifically on the significance and
importance of dancing before YAH. I will also define the words “anointing” and the “Prophetic”. I will
also include something on how to identify the false prophet and let you in on a little secret which I like
to refer to as “Satan’s biggest success story up to date”
P a g e | 15
MOVING BEYOND THE VEIL
CHAPTER 1: DEFINING THE ANOINTING
The baptism of the HOLY SPIRIT is vitally important and essential for any believer who desires
GOD’s anointing to manifest through their life. Only the HOLY SPIRIT can activate the manifestation
of HIS anointing upon your life and you can only get the HOLY SPIRIT by means of the baptism. The
baptism of the HOLY SPIRIT is like a key which has been put into the starter of your vehicle and then
turned to get the engine running. Without this key, your car won’t be able to move one inch forward.
Every single person receives GOD’s anointing the day they are born again, but the activation of this
anointing only starts once they are filled with the HOLY SPIRIT.
JESUS is a very good example of this. HE was the first person ever to be baptized by the HOLY
SPIRIT and even though JESUS grew up from birth with this anointing upon HIS life, HE was only
able to perform HIS first miracle after HE has been baptized by water and by the HOLY SPIRIT (John
1:29 – 34; John 2:1 – 11).
The immediate questions one tends to ask are: Will the anointing on my life prevent me from having
any problems? Does it mean when I have the anointing, it will prevent me from never having any
enemies? Will the anointing on my life guarantee me a life of continuous prosperity and zero sufferings
such as hunger? Will it keep all diseases away from me or at the very least help me to heal of whatever
disease within minutes? What is the anointing?
Having the anointing on your life, does not mean you will never fall ill. Neither does it mean you will
never experience any kind of sufferings or problems and no, the enemies will not decrease. It will rather
increase and there are multiple examples to prove these facts. King David for instance had a multiple of
enemies after he was anointed. JESUS who was the most anointed ONE, suffered under persecution.
Not only that, HE took all our sufferings, sins and curses upon HIMSELF, so that we might be able to
live in freedom. Paul, who was also an extremely anointed man, suffered severe persecution, hunger and
other sufferings. When we have GOD’s anointing upon our lives, we will experience hardship in our
lives. Hebrew 5:8 (Amp) says “Although HE was a SON; HE learned [active, special] obedience
through what HE suffered.” JESUS says in John 15:20 (NIV) “…No servant is greater than his master.
If they persecuted ME, they will persecute you also” and in Matthew 23:34 (NIV) HE says to the
Pharisees “Therefore I am sending you prophets and wise men and teachers. Some of them you will kill
and crucify; others you will flog in synagogues and pursue from town to town”. And there is a very
good reason for that.
The anointing opens the heavens over us. It breaks the power of the evil forces in the air so that others
may experience freedom and liberty and get an opportunity to see the truth. When they see the truth,
they see GOD’s light and are convicted of their sins. This conviction gives them the opportunity to be
converted and receive eternal life. The truth also enables those who already know JESUS as their
MESSIAH to be set free from any other bondages and yokes under which they find themselves, such as
fear, depression and most of all the past that just loves to haunt Christians day in and day out. This
means that the more a person grows into their anointing, the more power they will have over the enemy
and all his works. The result is that Satan will try everything within his power to stop you from growing
into your anointing, because you literally become a serious threat to him. John White said: “Satan fears
those words that come fresh from GOD’s lips… Because Satan so dreads the fresh Word, he will arouse
P a g e | 16
MOVING BEYOND THE VEIL
controversy wherever it comes forth miraculously through the lips of a real prophet or from the lips of
an evangelist aflame with the Spirit”(as quoted by John E MacArthur Jr.; 1992:80).
Defining the anointing
The anointing can be defined as the power of the HOLY SPIRIT. John 3:8 (NIV) says that “it blows
wherever it pleases” and therefore it is impossible for us to turn the anointing on or off according to our
own desires and wishes. And it is as R.T Kendall (in The Anointing – Yesterday, Today. Tomorrow;
1998:12) said – it is the anointing on our gifts that makes those gifts function with ease. It is to find
unmerited favor and grace from GOD.
The word anointing literally means:
• To pour oil out on holy objects or persons;
• To smear or rub in this oil all over the object or person to be consecrated;
• To supernaturally equip someone to perform supernatural things;
• It is the tangible, manifesting presence and power of GOD upon a believer’s life.
• To be appointed and empowered by GOD for the task or position which HE has called you to;
• Having the hand of GOD upon a believer’s life.
The anointing signifies the HOLY SPIRIT and the transfer of authority. Stephen F. Olford wrote in his
book The Secret of Soul Winning (1978:20) that the anointing is the “spiritual authority in the work of
GOD and a spiritual knowledge of the Word of GOD”
The difference between the baptism of the Holy Spirit and the anointing:
The baptism of the HOLY SPIRIT is focused on your relationship with GOD. The anointing is focused
on responsibility and your relationship with the people around you. The baptism is for your daily,
personal walk with GOD, the anointing is a vocation, because it has to do with the releasing of the gifts
of the HOLY SPIRIT and these gifts are not there for self-edification, but to make disciples for GOD.
The baptism is an immersion of the SPIRIT and the anointing the clothing of power from on High. The
baptism has to do with what happens inside of you, while the anointing is more an outward experience.
It is what people see and experience that makes the difference. In Luke 24:49 we read that the disciples
had to wait until they were clothed with power from GOD. Olford said that the baptism was initial and
final (1 Corinthians 12:13), while the clothing with power was initial and continual. This continual
clothing with power is the result of a life of prayerfulness (Acts 1:14; 2:4) and yieldedness (Acts 5:32)
“Now HE which stablisheth us with you in CHRIST, and hath anointed us, is GOD, who hath also
sealed us, and given us the earnest of the SPIRIT in our hearts”
2 Corinthians 1:21, 22 KJV
Purpose of the anointing
The anointing has a multifold of purposes. The anointing:
• Blesses and encourages others;
• It is self-edifying;
• It gives unmerited favor;
P a g e | 17
MOVING BEYOND THE VEIL
• It teaches and guides you into all truth. The Word of GOD says: “You have an anointing from
the HOLY ONE… The anointing you received from HIM remains in you, and you do not need
anyone to teach you… HE will teach you all things…” and “…guide you into all truth” (1 John
2:20, 27; John 14:26; John 16:18 NIV);
• It breaks the yokes from our shoulder. Isaiah 10:27 (NKJV) says: “It shall come to pass in that
day that his burden will be taken away from your shoulder, and his yoke from your neck, and the
yoke will be destroyed because of the anointing oil”;
• It supernaturally enables and equips us for the work of GOD;
• Proverbs 18:16 (Amp) says: “A man’s gift makes room for him and brings him before great
men;”
• It releases extraordinary gifts and supernatural endowments. John 14:12 – 14 (NIV) says: “I tell
you the truth, anyone who has faith in ME will do what I have been doing. He will do even
greater things than these, because I am going to the FATHER. And I will do whatever you ask in
MY name, so that the SON may bring glory to the FATHER. You may ask anything in MY name
and I will do it”;
• It helps the believer to accomplish mighty things in their lives and ministry;
• It gives a person charisma. Charisma is to have an “electrifying personality” (Kendal). It is like a
magnet that draws people to you. A person who has charisma stands out in a crowd. Such a
person would mostly do the opposite of what the crowd is doing.
• It fills the void and emptiness within us, because the anointing brings us into a closer and deeper
relationship with GOD. It enables us to have fellowship with GOD, because it breaks down all
the barriers that are between us and GOD. Psalm 23:5 – 6 (NIV) says: “YOU prepare a table
before me in the presence of my enemies. YOU anoint my head with oil, my cup overflows.
Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of
the LORD forever”;
• It gives us courage and boldness (i.e. In Acts 2:14 – 36 Peter stood up courageously in front of a
multitude of people and spoke boldly and confidently the Word of GOD to these people in a
time every disciple was scared that they would also be persecuted);
• It gives us power (Acts 1:8);
• It is for the perfecting of the saints (Ephesians 4:12);
• To build up the Body of CHRIST (Ephesians 4:12);
• To enable us to reach unity in faith (Ephesians 4:13);
• To enable us to become mature into the fullness of CHRIST (Ephesians 4:13);
• To enable us to become successful soul-winners and to bring in the harvest. Stephan Olford said:
“To be successful soul-winners, we too must know not only the fullness of the HOLY
ANOINTING, but the holy anointing”;
• To prepare us to enter through the veil to meet our BRIDEGROOM and KING. Tommy Tenney
wrote in his book The GOD Chasers (1998:43. 44): “The Holy of Holies awaits the anointed…
It prepares us from flesh to glory.”
Maretha Beselaar wrote in her book, BH306: Apostolic Counselling (2013:p65) that the anointing which
GOD pours out on HIS children, is the power which HE pours out on us to enable us to accomplish
specific tasks and assignments on this earth for the enhancement of the Kingdom of GOD. She wrote
that it is “the power of the presence of the LORD.”
P a g e | 18
MOVING BEYOND THE VEIL
In essence the anointing boils down to this:
• The anointing brings heaven to earth;
• The anointing is the visible manifestation of YESHUA HAMACHIACH, the RUACH
HAKADESH and ABBA FATHER in your life, so that others may see and know who JESUS
really is and what it means to have a father who really loves and cares about them;
• The amount of the anointing that is resting upon your life will determine to what extend heaven
is manifested on earth and in your life;
• Without the anointing you CANNOT move beyond the veil.

CHAPTER 2: DEFINING THE PROPHETIC
Introduction
When it comes to the prophetic one finds that people all over the world reacts differently when this
topic is brought up and that many different kinds of feelings and thoughts are being stirred and brought
to the front.
Some of us (a very small minority of us) would have the tendency to embrace this topic with wide open
arms and even a smaller amount out of this group would jump right into this, throwing all caution into
the wind as they do so.
But at large, the biggest group approaches this subject with the greatest caution. Others again would
give the prophetic a completely new meaning and definition and others would severely reject this
subject right from the start. When we look at the main motives behind these reactions, we find that there
are 4 main reasons for this:
1) Some of us have grown up from early childhood with extremely strong theological and doctrinal
believes.
2) Some of us have either been given the wrong information on what the prophetic really is or
merely lacks some knowledge and understanding on what the prophetic is all about.
3) Many of us (this includes me) are extremely cautious of not being deceived by false teachings,
doctrines and prophets.
4) Hurt. Some of us has really been hurt by people who said that they are prophets (and who may
really have been true prophets of GOD), but something they did or did not do has lead us to a
place where we have been severely hurt to the point where even our relationship with the LORD
has gotten hurt and been tested to the limit (and once again I am not excluded from this).
I believe that worship and the prophetic is one and the same thing, therefore due to all the
misconceptions that are currently existing about the prophetic, along with all the other factors I have
mentioned previously, I thought it to be of extreme importance to devote a few pages on the following
topics:
a) What is a prophet?
b) What is the difference between a prophet and prophesying?
c) What are the duties of a prophet?
d) Do prophets still exist?
e) Is being a prophet and prophesying Biblical?
f) Does the prophetic not belong to the Old Testament alone?
g) Identifying the false prophets – some common trademarks of the false prophets
So what is the prophetic and who are the prophets?
The concordance describes the prophetic/prophet/prophesying as follow:
• To see (in vision) – chazah (Isaiah 30:10)
• What is lifted up. A burden, message – massa (Proverbs 30:1; 31:1);
• Prophecy – nebuah (2 Chronicles 9:20; 15:8; Nehemiah 6:12);
• A prophet – nabi (Daniel 9:24);
P a g e | 20
MOVING BEYOND THE VEIL
• Prophecy, public exposition – prophēteia (Matthew 13:14; 1 Corinthians 12:10; 13:8; 1
Timothy 1:18; 2 Peter 1:20, 21);
• Prophetic – prophētikos (2 Peter 1:19);
• To prophesy; flow forth – naba, (1 Samuel 10:11; 1 Kings 22:12; 1 Chronicles 25:1;
Jeremiah 37:19; Ezekiel 4:7; 11:4, 13; 12:27, 28; 13:2, 16, 17; 36:1, 3, 6; 37:4, 7, 9, 12; 38:2,
14, 17; 39:1; Joel 2:28, 29; Amos 3:8);
• To show self a prophet – naba, 7 (Numbers 11:25 – 27; 1 Samuel 10:5, 6, 10; 18:10; 1 Kings
18:29 - 40; 22:8 – 28; Jeremiah 14:14);
• To prophecy - neba, 2 (Ezra 5:1);
The prophetic is there to uplift, encourage, exalt and honour our LORD. It serves the purpose of giving
us a sense of direction, peace and hope during the time when we feel as if our whole world is falling
apart. It strengthens us and equips us so that we might be able to go out to all the nations and make
disciples out of them (as it was YESHUA’s last great command to us before HE ascended to Heaven).1
The prophetic anointing serves as the tool through which heaven is released upon earth so that we and
the world may see and know who JESUS really is. The prophetic anointing breaks the strongholds and
curses in our lives so that we won’t need to live a life of bondage and slavery, but that of HIS children
who has been set free by HIS blood. The prophetic acts that are being performed (e.g. dancing, singing,
reading out GOD’s Word and playing musical instruments) are acts in which we intercede for others,
engage into spiritual warfare and draw us closer to YHWH. It is through this prophetic anointing on our
life that we will end up moving beyond the veil and no, we do not need to be a prophet to be able to
flow in the prophetic anointing.
In 1 Corinthians 14 Paul continues to say that we do not need to be a prophet to be able to prophecy and
that prophecy is actually a very important and essential part of the church if it desires to remain healthy.
In the Scripture passage Paul also says that it is through the prophetic gift that sinners are saved for the
prophetic convicts the sinner of his/her sins. And in 1 Corinthians 14:31 – 33 (Amp) Paul says:
“For you can all prophesy one by one, that all may be encouraged. 32) And the spirits of the prophets
(the speakers in tongues) are subject to the prophets [and subject to be silenced as may be necessary].
33) For GOD is not the author of confusion (disorder) but of peace, as in all the churches of the
saints.”
While YESHUA (JESUS) was on earth HE performed signs, wonders and miracles and HE flowed in
the prophetic – a lot (e.g. Matthew 8:3; 24:1 – 44; 25:31 – 46; John 2:19 – 22, 25; 4:1 – 31) YESHUA
came to earth to set an example to us of how we ought to live. If that is the case, why would HE then
only give a handful of people the opportunity to do what HE did? Yes, YAH (GOD) is busy raising
leaders who flow in all of these, but the only reason why these leaders are there is to help the rest of the
church (i.e. the body of believers) to do exactly what they are doing.
Therefore a prophet is someone:
• Who is driven to apply the Word of GOD to a situation so that sin can successfully be addressed
and relationships can be restored.
• Who are considered to be the “trumpets” of the Body of CHRIST who sound the alarm in the
face of sin, compromise and danger.
1
Matthew 28:18
P a g e | 21
MOVING BEYOND THE VEIL
• Who is more interested in whether or not the heart is pure than whether or not the activity in
question is acceptable. In other words, the prophet tests the motives and not the actions.
• Who judges the fruit the person is displaying in their lives (Galatians 5:18 – 22) and not the
person.
A prophet is someone who has been appointed by GOD into this office (or leadership position). This is
an irrevocable, permanent leadership position within the Church and Body of CHRIST (1 Corinthians
14:27 – 31). They are the ones who act as watchmen on the wall (Ezekiel 3:16 – 21). They are the ones
who stand in the council of GOD and who “holds an office of authority in the Church.” They are
carriers of a divine anointing. Dr Jeff, the director of Team Impact University, wrote in his book BP404:
The Prophetic Anointing (2011:7): “The prophetic anointing comes through the mouth of man, but it
comes from the mind of GOD”. This anointing is to enable the prophet to break down strongholds, do
deliverance, engage into spiritual warfare, to speak a divine word from GOD and to give them the full
authority needed to declare and decree HIS will into existence on earth. “So shall MY Word be that goes
forth out of my mouth: it shall not return to ME void (without producing any effect, useless), but it shall
accomplish that which I please and purpose, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it” (Isaiah
55:11 Amp). J. Eckhart wrote in The Restoration of the Apostles and Prophets: How It Will
Revolutionize Ministry in the 21st
century (2001:49): “This authority is given to prophets by grace for
two reasons: one, awaiting the destruction of the kingdom of Satan. The other is for the establishment of
the kingdom of GOD.”
Prophets are carriers of inspiration so that the Church may be uplifted, edified, motivated and
encouraged. They are GOD’s spoke’s person to represent HIS heart and interest to the people HE wants
them to minister to. “Prophecy is speaking HIS mind, HIS heart and HIS intentions to the church
through a believer as revealed by the HOLY SPIRIT. Prophecy is the outflow of the heart and the very
nature of GOD.”(Van Wyk, J. 2011:7) They are appointed by GOD first for HIS Church then for those
who are outside the Church.
“The Greek word used for prophet has two parts. The first part “Pro” means: “fore, in front of or prior
to” and the second part “Phemi” means: “to show or make known”. They are therefore people who have
a “sense of foreknowledge or foretelling.” According to J. Edmiston in Biblical Management Principles
(1995 – 2010) another Greek word that has been used for prophet was “proheteria” which means to
speak forth the mind and council of GOD. They say that it is “the SPIRIT given empowerment and
desire to serve GOD by proclaiming GOD’s truth.”
“Les Crause from the Apostolic Mission International wrote in his article What is a Prophetic Ministry:
“The Prophetic Ministry has the ability to bring the presence of GOD into a gathering. Since the prophet
is in touch spiritually with the mind of GOD, it is inevitable that as the prophetic ministry starts to
function, the HOLY SPIRIT will be released to work. This is also brought about as people are led into
the place GOD wants them to be as the prophetic ministry exhorts, encourages and gives direction.”
a) The general duties of a Prophet
The prophet’s duties can therefore basically be summarized within four words – they speak and pray.
When they speak, they communicate any word YAH gives them to speak. They speak for the purpose
to:
P a g e | 22
MOVING BEYOND THE VEIL
• Edify;
• Exhort;
• Comfort;
• Predict;
• Direct;
• Rebuke;
• Teach;
• Warn;
• And to protect the Body of CHRIST.
They speak for the purpose of:
• Preparing the ground for what God is planning to do;
• To establish the Kingdom of God;
• And to destroy the Kingdom of Darkness by means of decreeing, declaring, intercession (which
includes worship, praising God, doing penitence and petitioning) and spending time in the
throne room of God.
Through their words, they:
• Give guidance;
• Deliver;
• And break down the strongholds of the enemy.
By the laying of hands; they impart spiritual gifts to the Body of CHRIST with the purpose to equip
them. A lot of their time, is spent in seeking the face of GOD so that they may be able to hear the heart
of YAH for HIS people and so that they may be spiritually in a position where YAH can pour onto them
fresh revelations from HIS throne room so that they in turn can go and bless others with these
revelations.
”…Man does not live on bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of GOD.”
Matthew 4:4 NIV
“Then the LORD put forth His hand and touched my mouth. And the LORD said to me, ‘Behold, I have
put MY words in your mouth. See, I have this day appointed you to the oversight of the nations and of
the kingdoms to root out and pull down, to destroy and to overthrow, to build and to plant.”
Jeremiah 1:9 – 10 NIV
Scriptures to confirm what a prophet is
“18) I [personally solemnly] warn everyone who listens to the statements of the prophecy [the
predictions and the consolations and admonitions pertaining to them] in this book: If anyone
shall add anything to them, GOD will add and lay upon him the plagues (the afflictions and the
calamities) that are recorded and described in this book.
“19) And if anyone cancels or takes away from the statements of the book of this prophecy [these
predictions relating to CHRIST’s kingdom and its speedy triumph, together with the consolations
and admonitions or warnings pertaining to them], GOD will cancel and take away from him his

share in the tree of life and in the city of holiness (purity and hallowedness), which are described
and promised in this book.”
Revelations 22:18, 19 Amp
“3) But [on the other hand], the one who prophesies [who interprets the divine will and purpose in
inspired preaching and teaching] speaks to men for their up building and constructive spiritual
progress and encouragement and consolation.
“4) He who speaks in a [strange] tongue edifies and improves himself, but he who prophesies
(interpreting the divine will and purpose and teaching with inspiration) edifies and improves the
church and promotes growth [in Christian wisdom, piety, holiness, and happiness].
“5) Now I wish that you might all speak in [unknown] tongues, but more especially [I want you] to
prophesy (to be inspired to preach and interpret the divine will and purpose). He who prophesies
[who is inspired to preach and teach] is greater (more useful and more important) than he who
speaks in [unknown] tongues, unless he should interpret [what he says], so that the church may be
edified and receive good [from it].
“24) But if all prophesy [giving inspired testimony and interpreting the divine will and purpose] and
an unbeliever or untaught outsider comes in, he is told of his sin and reproved and convicted and
convinced by all and his defects and needs are examined (estimated, determined) and he is called
to account by all.
“25) The secrets of his heart are laid bare; and so, falling on [his] face, he will worship GOD,
declaring that GOD is among you in very truth.
“29) Let two or three prophets speak, and let the others judge.
“31) For you can all prophesy one by one, that all may learn and all may be encouraged.
“32) And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets.
“39) Therefore, brethren, desire earnestly the prophecy, and do not forbid to speak with tongues.”
1 Corinthians 14: 3 – 5, 24, 25 Amp, 29, 31, 32, 39 NKJV
“…For the substance (essence) of the truth revealed by JESUS is the SPIRIT of prophecy [the vital
breath, the inspiration of all inspired preaching and interpretation of the divine will and purpose,
including both mine and yours].”
Revelation 19:10 Amp
“6) These have power to shut heaven, so that no rain falls in the days of the prophecy; and they have
power over waters to turn them to blood, and to strike the earth with all plagues, as often as they
desire.
“10) And those who dwell on the earth will rejoice over them, make merry, and send gifts to one
another, because these two prophets tormented those who dwell on the earth.”
Revelation 11:6, 10 NKJV
The difference between prophesying and a prophet
To explain the difference between having the ability to prophecy and being a prophet, I would like to
compare this to that of a grocery shop. A grocery shop has three main elements: goods, customers and
workers. The goods they have on their shelves are there for anyone to purchase. This represents
everything the Church needs to equip the saints with – including the gifts of the HOLY SPIRIT.
P a g e | 24
MOVING BEYOND THE VEIL
Grocery shops also have their customers. These customers only have two responsibilities namely:
behaving themselves and paying for their goods. The one who prophesies is like this customer. They
have received, from the HOLY SPIRIT, the gift and ability to prophecy. The gift of prophecy is a
function they have received for the purpose of bringing the Kingdom of GOD to the people. It is like
receiving the ability to see where they have been blind, but this new eyesight doesn’t give them or make
them a prophet. It only provides them with a possible opportunity of receiving the opportunity to
become a prophet and therefore they cannot call themselves prophets. The reason they have received
this ability is because of their relationship with JESUS CHRIST, the SON of GOD. The result is that
they only operate occasionally in these gifts and not all the time, but when they do operate, it is usually
only for the purpose to edify, exhort, to comfort, engage in spiritual warfare and to exalt and honor
GOD. Another difference is that they don’t need to act as watchmen for the church, like the prophet
would have to do and with the receiving of these gifts; they have received a lot more grace than the
prophet.
Prophets face a harsher judgment than others. For example if a prophet does not warn someone when
GOD tells them to warn them, then they will be held accountable for that person’s blood on their hands
(Ezekiel 3:16 – 21). Matthew 7:2 (NIV) says:”For in the same way you judge others, you will be
judged, and with the same measure you use, it will be used to you.”
“The prophets are like the shop’s workers. Within this shop they have a permanent position, an office,
responsibilities, authority and everything else they need to be successful in their job - namely for the
perfecting of the saints and for equipping the Body of CHRIST (Ephesians 4:12). GOD has appointed
them into their position and to help them carry the responsibilities that come with this position, GOD
has placed on their lives a special anointing which equips them with everything they need in order to
fulfill their mandate successfully. Just like the shelves are continuously stocked, likewise the prophet
manifests continuously in their gifts anywhere, anytime so the Body of CHRIST, the Christians, may be
continuously re-equipped to do what GOD has called them to do successfully and with excellence. The
prophet doesn’t live for themselves anymore. They live first for CHRIST, then for the Church and the
Body of CHRIST and then only for themselves.”
In 1 Thessalonians 5:19 -21 (Amp) we read that when we despise prophecy it is like quenching the
SPIRIT. It says:
“19) Do not quench (suppress or subdue) the [HOLY] SPIRIT,
“20) Do not spurn the gifts and utterances of the prophets [do not depreciate prophetic revelations nor
despise inspired instruction or exhortation or warning].
“21) But test and prove all things [until you can recognize] what is good, [to that] hold fast.”
So how is worship prophetic?
During worship we exalt and lift up the Name of YAH, we honor HIM, we pray, we intercede, we
engage in spiritual warfare, through our voices we make declarations, by speaking and proclaiming the
Word we are being equipped, we encourage others (believe me, worship that comes from a pure heart
has a major impact on the people around this worshipper); it edifies and comforts us; it prepares our
very beings for the workings of the HOLY SPIRIT, it opens up our spiritual ears so that we might hear
YAH’s voice with more clarity, it brings heaven to earth and it helps us on our spiritual journey into
moving beyond the veil.
P a g e | 25
MOVING BEYOND THE VEIL
During the chapters that is to come, I will be going into a more in depth discussion on how worship is
related to the prophetic and as we continue on our journey into moving beyond the veil, it is my heart’s
desire that you engage the topic and the information I will be sharing with you in prayer and with an
open mind.
Doesn’t the prophetic belong to the Old Testament alone?
The Word of GOD says:
“28) And it shall come to pass afterward that I will pour out MY SPIRIT on all flesh; your sons and
your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see
visions;
“29) And also on MY menservants and MY maidservants I will pour out MY SPIRIT in those days.”
Joel 2:28, 29 NKJV
“6) These have power to shut heaven, so that no rain falls in the days of the prophecy; and they have
power over waters to turn them to blood, and to strike the earth with all plagues, as often as they
desire.
“10) And those who dwell on the earth will rejoice over them, make merry, and send gifts to one
another, because these two prophets tormented those who dwell on the earth.”
Revelation 11:6, 10 NKJV
“Rejoice over her, o Heaven, and you holy apostles and prophets, for GOD has avenged you on her!”
Revelation 18:20 NKJV
“Then he said to me: “See that you do not do that. For I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren
the prophets, and of those who keep the words of this book. Worship GOD.”
Revelation 22:9 NKJV
“Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you by prophecy with the laying on of hands
of the presbytery.”
1 Timothy 4:14 NKJV
“18) This charge I commit to you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies previously made
concerning you, that by them you may wage the good warfare…
“19) Having faith and a good conscience, which some having rejected, concerning the faith have
suffered shipwreck.”
1 Timothy 1:18, 19 NKJV
“19) Do not quench the SPIRIT…
“20) “Do not despise prophecies…
“21) Test all things; hold fast what is good.”
1 Thessalonians 5:19 – 21 NKJV
“And GOD has appointed these in the church; first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after
miracles, then gifts of healing, helps, administration, varieties of tongues.”
1 Corinthians 12:28 NKJV
“11) And HE HIMSELF gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors
and teachers.
P a g e | 26
MOVING BEYOND THE VEIL
“12) For the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the Body of CHRIST.
“13) Till we all come to the unity of the faith and the knowledge of the SON of GOD, to a perfect man,
to the measure of the stature of the fullness of CHRIST.
“14) That we should no longer be children tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of
doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness by which they lie in wait to deceive.”
Ephesians 4:11 – 14 NKJV
“Having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, JESUS CHRIST HIMSELF being
the chief cornerstone.”
Ephesians 2:20 NKJV
“See that you do not refuse HIM who speaks. For if they did not escape who refused HIM who spoke on
earth, much more shall we not escape if we turn away from HIM who speaks from Heaven.”
Hebrews 12:25 NKJV
I strongly believe that every child of YAH must flow in the gift of prophecy to a certain degree at least,
because the gift of YAH reveals to you HIS divine will and purpose for you and for others. Every child
of GOD must know what HIS divine will is for their lives or else how would this child be able to live a
life of obedience unto HIM? And how will a child of GOD be able to walk in a life of abundance, in
fruitfulness, prosperity, blessings and in holiness, if this child doesn’t know what HIS divine will is for
him/her? And when this child encounters someone who is in a desperate need for GOD, how will this
child be able to reach out to this broken soul if they don’t know what YAH’s will and purpose is for that
person and how will this believer in CHRIST know how to minister to this person if they do not have
the SPIRIT of prophecy residing within them to at least a certain degree? And if a child of GOD doesn’t
have the gift of prophesy, how will this child be able to discern between the different spirits and spare
his/her own life from deception and all other dangers, if s/he is unable to hear the voice of YAH in such
a profound way, that they could take heed when the danger arises? In the day and age we live in, with
the manifestation of the real, big Antichrist just around the corner, every child of GOD must have this
gift in order to protect them from the snares of the Antichrist and the False Prophet or else they will be
deceived. There are no two ways about it.
Evidence of New Testament prophecy:
“Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which
are written in it; for the time is near.”
Revelation 1:3 NKJV
“And he said to me, “You must prophesy again about many peoples, nations, tongues and kings.”
Revelation 10:11 NKJV
“7) Behold I come quickly! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book”
“10) And he said to me, “Do not seal the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is at hand.”
Revelation 22:7, 10 NKJV
“19) We also have the prophetic word made more sure, which you do well to heed as a light that shines
in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.
“20) Knowing this first that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation.
P a g e | 27
MOVING BEYOND THE VEIL
“21) For prophecy never came by will of man, but holy men of GOD spoke as they were moved by the
HOLY SPIRIT.”
2 Peter 1:19 – 21 NKJV
Prophecy versus Sorcery
Prophecy: When a prophet foretells of what is to come, it is almost always in confirmation to what
YAH has already been sharing with you. GOD always reveals HIS plans to us via HIS prophets as well.
Amos 3:7 – 8 (NKJV) says:
“Surely the LORD GOD does nothing, unless HE reveals HIS secret to HIS servants the prophets; 8) A
lion has roar! Who will not fear? The LORD GOD has spoken! Who can but prophecy?”
Sorcery: The information that comes from sorcery is never from GOD and is never in line with the will
of GOD, even when it appears to be.
Prophecy: A prophet always speaks words of peace and comfort and healing and a reverend fear for
YAH; and where harsh judgments are spoken out, it is always spoken through the heart and spirit of
repentance and never to evoke fear in the heart of the listener.
Sorcery: Sorcery will always stir fear in the heart of the listener (this fear can be compared to the fear
people experience who believes that 7 years of calamity awaits the person who breaks a mirror).
Prophecy: The truth is always spoken, because GOD cannot lie (Numbers 23:19).
Sorcery: The truth is only spoken when it is for the benefit of the sorceress (Acts 16:16 – 19), otherwise
a near truth, but never the whole truth is being told.
Examples: A true prophet will say something like: “I hear YAH says that HE loves you very much and I
can see HE is opening a door way for you that will lead to great opportunities. It is a door of
opportunity that you have longed prayed and desired for you to open. Not all the trials and opposition
were able to quench this desire. It is a desire that has remained to continue to be with you even when
you felt like quitting and giving up because you simply just got too weary to continue on this road to
follow your dream. YAH is saying, be strong and persevere for you are, as I speak, entering and going
through this door. Your time has come at last.”
A false prophet on the other hand will say something like: “I can see a door way in heaven is opening
up to you. I can hear GOD saying to you that you have to go through it, but know that even though what
is lying behind that door is full of promises, there is also much heartache waiting for you. I also hear
HIM say that you should be careful when you go through this door.”
As you have read these two prophecies, have you noticed that the first prophecy was encouraging, that it
was filled with words or reassurance and comfort and that it has evoked a feeling of absolute peace and
that the second prophecy was discouraging and actually made you too scared to go through that open
door? Even though both of these prophecies might be true, just because it is the truth, doesn’t mean that
those words came from YAH.
GOD will never give you cause to fear because love knows no fear (1 John 4:18 “There is no fear in
love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made
P a g e | 28
MOVING BEYOND THE VEIL
perfect in love.”).2
When a true prophet do need to add something negative like the prophets Isaiah,
Ezekiel and Jeremiah had to do, it will sound a lot like the words spoken in Deuteronomy 28 where
YAH says: If you abide in ME and are obedient and continue to follow MY laws, all these blessings
will be showered upon you, but if you fail to abide in ME, if you turn your backs on ME and do not
repent then you can expect the following to happen to you. When the prophets Isaiah, Ezekiel and
Jeremiah spoke about the destruction of Jerusalem and Israel and Judah that would be taken into exile,
YAH has always given them an opportunity to repent before HE followed through on HIS word and the
same applies to a true prophet. If a true prophet does need to warn you about your future, it will either
be to bring you back to a place of repentance, or it would be to help you keep strong in the LORD
during those troubled times or to give you clarification and a clear understanding about the events that is
about to take place. For instance: John prophesied in Revelations about the upcoming Tribulation when
the Antichrist will launch one final full blown attack upon the Church and Israel. This YAH has given
to us 2000 years so that we can know and understand what is happening when it is happening and so
that we might have complete peace of mind, hope and strength to endure during this time.
Here is another example out of my own personal life: There was this one great leader who has seen that
some hard times were waiting for me, but instead of speaking it out and telling me what was about to
come, he only said that he heard YAH saying that HE is going to work in my life for period in a way
that was not previously possible for HIM when the boys was with me.” I understood what he meant and
that has helped me understand my future better and it has helped me to be better prepared.
In another incident, GOD HIMSELF has warned me of what was to come in my near future, but with
one difference. HE gave the whole picture of what was to come. The result of this revelation was that I
had experienced complete peace of mind. I knew GOD was in control. This revelation has strengthened
and encouraged and protected me, it has served as a road map, giving me guidance during a time I did
not know which way to go and it has resulted in me doing intensive spiritual preparation in the way HE
has showed me too. The end result was, even though the road I had to walk was so painful and even
though the road was so incredibly dark, I have managed, by HIS grace, to persevere through it all.
Identifying the false prophet:
a) Some background information
When it comes to discerning who are false prophets and who not, we have to remember this one very
important fact – true prophets of YAH do make mistakes, but that does NOT make them false prophets.
As human beings we can make mistakes and sometimes it does happen that what we thought we heard
or saw was information which GOD has given to us and therefore it can happen that a prophet wrongly
prophecy over you, but that does not make them false prophets either.
As human beings we are capable of receiving important information about a person from various
sources. Most of this information which we receive is from what we see and perceive with our eyes, but
other times it can be from what we are physically experiencing, our emotions, knowledge we have about
a particular person and our thoughts. Any perceptive person can gain a lot of information about a certain
person by merely reading that person’s body language and looking into their eyes. What many people
don’t know is that touch can also give you a lot of personal information about a particular person. Let
me give you an example out of my own life:
2
NKJV
P a g e | 29
MOVING BEYOND THE VEIL
Our bodies are constantly sending out messages and signals to the people out there. I have learned how
to read these signs and signals. Most of these readings happen unconsciously and therefore I am
unaware of what I am reading, but there are times when I deliberately focus my attention on someone
(like when I need to minister to someone or when I have to assess a certain situation) and that is when
the information I have gathered in my unconscious mind (if there is any) along with the information I
am perceiving at that very moment is brought to my conscious mind so that I am fully aware of the
knowledge that I have in my possession. My eyes and my touch senses have become especially
sensitive in knowing what is going on in someone’s heart and life without them saying one word to me.
However, the ability to read people like this, does not mean I could prophesy. Information gathered in
this manner does not mean it was necessarily given to me by the HOLY SPIRIT in a manner of a word
of knowledge or prophecy. It could have been given to me by the HOLY SPIRIT, but not necessarily
always.
A particular danger I have experienced during the times I minister to people, is my sensitivity to touch.
Before I learned about the prophetic and gained some knowledge on the do’s and do not’s, I did not
know that a person can learn some very important information about someone else by merely holding
their hand. Neither did I know that I was sensitive to touch as well. That information GOD has only
revealed to me during the time I was receiving my personal training from HIM and my coaches. During
this time YAH has revealed to me that the signals that comes from the other person’s body, mingles in
with HIS voice and that what I sometimes have spoken, even though they were true, were not always
words that came from HIM. It is for this very reason that I have become very reluctant to so much as
hug a person and why I would only hold a person’s hand when I minister to someone when YAH tells
me to do so. If GOD does not tell me that I must touch or hold a specific person I am ministering too, I
will maybe only slightly touch a person lightly on the shoulder or on the head with the tips of my
fingers, or in special cases, I’ll change my grip.
My personal experience of my sensitivity to touch is a classical example of how a prophet
unintentionally can give a wrong message or at least a message that was not SPIRIT filled to someone
else.
b) How to identify a false prophet
Identifying a false prophet is no easy task and it requires that each and every believer in CHRIST must
exercise all the discernment and wisdom they have received from GOD. A lot of the identification
process lies within the conviction that comes from your spirit. Many times your spirit would tell you
that this person is false, but there is no outward evidence that this might be the case. In many instances a
false prophet might have been a born again Christian before they have turned their backs on GOD. In
other instances, they will say that they have been born again or that they are Christians.
A false prophet can be anyone. They can be the preacher standing behind the pulpit. They can even be a
believer in JESUS CHRIST who has somewhere in the past opened a door to Satan to blindfold them
and therefore a false prophet is not always aware that they are prophesying falsely. Many times these
prophets just need someone who would open their eyes for the truth so that they can repent and turn
away from these deeds. An example of such a case is found in 1 Kings 22 where Micaiah, the son of
Imla, came and prophesied to King Ahab, the king of Israel, that he will die if he goes into war with
King Jehoshaphat, the king of Judah. In the meantime a lying spirit came over about 400 prophets who
were also sitting in the council of the king and they told the king that he will not die, but prosper.
P a g e | 30
MOVING BEYOND THE VEIL
In essence this example illustrates to us that even the prophets of GOD can sometimes receive the
wrong information, but that at the very heart of it, it does not make them a false prophet. So
prophesying falsely doesn’t make you any less of a Christian. However, if the person is fully aware of
their deeds and fail to repent, then yes, the chances of them entering Heaven should they die at that very
minute, is next to zero.
c) Basic traits of a true false prophet
“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. 16)
You will know them by their fruits…” (Matthew 7:15 – 16a NKIV)
So let me give you a basic outline of a true false prophet. In other words, a person who has turned their
backs upon CHRIST completely or who never had CHRIST in their lives before:
1) Don’t look at their outward appearance. Can you still remember what has happened at the house
of Jesse, the house where David, the son of Jesse stayed and Samuel, the prophet wanted to
anoint a new king for Israel? Samuel wanted to anoint all the other brothers because of their
good outward appearance, until YAH told him that HE searches the heart. Many times a false
prophet will have good looks and outward charisma that simply draws people to them like
magnet, but their hearts are defiled. Matthew 7:15 (Amp) says: “Beware of false prophets, who
come to you dressed as sheep, but inside they are devouring wolves.”
2) Look at their fruit. Matthew 7:16 says: “You will fully recognize them by their fruits…”
Identifying false prophets by searching for the fruit in their lives is not as easy as it sounds. As
Matthew 7:15 said, they are dressed in sheep’s clothing, meaning they fake the fruits and they
are experts in hiding the truth of their real character. Furthermore, there is this problem that
Christians world-wide fall short in many of these areas, making identifying the false prophet
even more difficult. However, there is one fruit that cannot be faked and that is love. John 13:35
says: “By this all will know that you are MY disciples, if you have love for one another”
(NKJV).
Added to this is the fact that we as Christians are constantly being condemned for “judging”
other people. The truth, however, is that we as Christians must judge the fruit (not the person) in
order to discern who on earth are truly born-again Christians and who are not. We also need this
discernment if we want to protect ourselves spiritually against the wolves that have penetrated
the church buildings. And when we read Galatians 5:18 – 26 and Matthew 7:15 – 17 it is clear
that judging the fruit of a person is more a matter of a command than it is a choice. Judging a
person’s fruit is measuring that person’s moral and spiritual character against the guidelines
given in the Word of GOD so that we may not be deceived. If we are not allowed to judge
anyone in any way, how are we going to be able to judge the ultimate Antichrist and False
Prophet which YAH speaks about in HIS Word in Revelation?
3) False prophets have mastered the art of communication. They are finely skilled in not only
justifying their acts and making you look bad, but also in pursuing you to get you on their side.
Their words are finely seasoned and any word of deception or lie is finely covered under a
blanket of justifiable arguments.
P a g e | 31
MOVING BEYOND THE VEIL
Colossians 2:8 (NLT) says:
“Don’t let anyone capture you with empty philosophies and high-sounding nonsense that come
from human thinking and from the spiritual powers of this world, rather than from CHRIST.”
One argument that seems to win everyone over is that they would say: “I had a Heavenly
encounter” or “revelation”. Or they would say: “YESHUA took me to heaven and showed me all
these wonderful things.” Don’t get me wrong, people do get these encounters, but please be on
an extra alert when someone comes to you with these claims, because even false prophets have
“heavenly” encounters – just the wrong “heavenly” encounter.
Colossians 2:18 (Amp) says:
“Let no one defraud you by acting as an umpire and declaring you unworthy and disqualifying
you from the prize, insisting on self-abasement and worship of angels, taking his stand on
visions [he claims] he has seen, vainly puffed up by his sensuous notions and inflated by his
unspiritual thoughts and fleshly conceit.”
Galatians 1:8 (NIV):
“But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel other than the one we
preached to you, let them be under GOD’s curse!”
d) Signs of a false prophet
So even though the false prophets carefully disguise their true character, there are some signs you can
look out for to put you on alert. The fruits you have to be on the lookout for then are:
• Love: Are they more lovers of themselves, or do they truly love others? To measure love I
advise you use 1 Corinthians 13 as a measuring stick, because giving money and visiting
orphanages and prisoners alone is not enough to say a person has love. To find out if a
person really has the love of YAH inside them, ask yourself: “What is the motive behind
their actions? Is it to promote themselves and to show to the world how good they are or is
their actions driven by another force that has really placed your needs above their own?”
Also ask yourself: “How sacrificial is their love?”
• Jealousy and Competition: False prophets do not like people who could steal the spotlight
from them and therefore, behind the scenes, they will do everything in their power to subtly
remove a potential threat in a manner that would make it difficult for you to blame the
prophet. Telling stories and false accusations is one example. Emotional and spiritual abuse
another.
• D.I.M – Domination, intimidation and manipulation: These are the three evils that exist
almost within every single church at this very present time. Leaders, but especially false
prophets, like to remain and be in control of the people they minister to like one controls
puppets. One way in which they manage to achieve this, is by putting you on a guilt trip.
Another is using worship in such a way that they “work” you up. Did you ever see how some
spiritual leaders act when a specific congregation fails to say yes and amen at the appropriate
times? The tactics they use are so finely crafted that a person who is not aware of what is
happening at a specific moment will truly believe it is the HOLY SPIRIT moving. These
P a g e | 32
MOVING BEYOND THE VEIL
false prophets work on feeling and have no regards to the working of the HOLY SPIRIT.
The end result is that the church members go all wild, screaming and shouting and jumping
and just going crazy. 1 Corinthians 14:33 says: “For GOD is not the author of confusion
(disorder)3
but of peace…” (NKJV)
Domination, intimidation and manipulation are practices of witchcraft and witchcraft is an
occultic practice and a huge sin.
• Mammon: The spirit of mammon (i.e. money) and wealth will be ruling their lives (2
Timothy 3:1 – 5). With this I don’t mean that a child of GOD may not have money or
wealth. On the contrary, it is YAH’s desire for us to have these so that we may bless others.
YAH does not want us to suffer lack or want anything or else what will the people who do
not believe yet say about HIS children. They will mock us and ask: “Why should we
believe? We don’t want to end up poor and have lack like you do. Besides, where is your
GOD? Doesn’t HE care about you?” So yes, having money and wealth is also important to
GOD, but where it comes to false prophets, these things tend to rule and control them and
they will do anything within their power to get their hands on the gold – even to the extend
where they will manipulate you or hypnotize you if they must.
One way these false prophets tend to make money is by asking money for every prophetic
word they give you. Now you have to listen to me, there is no way on this earth where ANY
prophet may ask you money for any given word that comes from the mouth of YAH,
because even if the word is from YAH, if they fail to give you that word because you did not
give them money, they have act in essence in disobedience unto HIM. Yes, prophets can ask
from time to time money for certain services rendered such as counseling, but even here they
cannot make it an absolute. Sometimes there are people out there who are in a desperate
need for GOD, but who have no food (that is usually when they are so desperate). For a
prophet to then ask a fixed amount of service fee would be like slaughtering your neighbors
only cow while you have a thousand mooing in your own yard. Yes, the Word of the LORD
says that you have to honor a prophet that comes from HIM, but there are many ways in
which you can honor a prophet. Money is not the only way. And with this I want to add:
Only give money when YAH has explicitly told you to give and only give the amount HE
has laid upon your heart.
To avoid going on emotional joyrides and then give money, based on my experience during
for instance a church service or any other ministering service, I always ask YAH beforehand
if HE wants me to sow money today, where HE wants me to sow the money and how much.
I even ask this with my tithes and offerings. Sometimes YAH wants me to give more than
my usually tithing and sometimes I have to give more or less offering than I have originally
planned to give. Doing this, have countless of times protected me from falling in the trap of
for instance a guilty conscious or the trap of my emotions which has been set on fire.
3

MOVING BEYOND THE VEIL
False prophets therefore tend to always be very rich and wealthy people. To know whether a
prophet is real or not, try find out how they get their money? Is it through unlawful
practices? Is it through manipulation or intimidation? Is it through fraudulent practices?
• Holiness: What kind of life does the prophet lead behind the scene where no one sees him or
her? Do they live in an upright, intimate relationship with YAH? Do they adhere to living a
life that glorifies YAH? Do they live a life of integrity? Do they lead a life of obedience unto
YAH as outline in the Scriptures? How do they treat their spouse behind the scenes (if they
have one)? How do they treat their children?
• Boastful and full of themselves: False prophets love to boast about their achievements and
hang everything on a big clock, heralding and echoing it where ever they go. Numbers are
very important to them and with numbers I mean the amount of followers they have, the
amount of people they have “healed” and the number of people whom they have “helped” to
get out of a financial debt. They love it when people “worship” them, telling in front of them
to a multitude of people that this prophet has done this and that and this was the miraculous
result. If possible they will grab every chance they can get to get an opportunity to appear on
the television or on a radio show, even if it means that they will have to pay for it (2 Timothy
3:1 – 5)
Their un/conscious purpose is to place your focus on them and not on YAH. They also want
to make you become (unconsciously) dependent upon them, making you believe that you do
not have the same power and gift as they do and that only they are capable of “saving” you.
This is contradictory to the Scriptures that say:
“3) May blessing (praise, laudation, and eulogy) be to the GOD and FATHER of our LORD
JESUS CHRIST with every spiritual (given by the HOLY SPIRIT) blessing in the
heavenly realm.
“7) In HIM we have redemption (deliverance and salvation) through HIS blood, the
remission (forgiveness) of our offenses (shortcomings and trespasses); in accordance
with the riches and the generosity of HIS gracious favor.
“8) Which HE lavished upon us in every kind of wisdom and understanding (practical
insight and prudence),
“9) Making known to us the mystery (secret) of HIS will (of HIS plan, of HIS purpose). [And
it is this:] In accordance with HIS good pleasure (HIS merciful intention) which HE
had previously purposed and set forth in HIM,
“13) In HIM also who have heard the Word of Truth, the glad tidings (Gospel) of your
salvation, and have believed in and adhered to and relied on HIM, were stamped with
the seal of the long-promised HOLY SPIRIT.”
Ephesians 1: 3, 7 – 9, 13 Amp
“8) For it is by free grace (GOD’s unmerited favor) that you are saved (delivered from
judgment and made partakers of CHRIST’s salvation) through [your] faith. And this
[salvation] is not of yourselves [of your own doing, it came not through your own
striving], but it is the gift of GOD.
P a g e | 34
MOVING BEYOND THE VEIL
“9) Not because of works [not the fulfillment of the Law’s demands], lest any man should
boast. [It is not the result of what anyone can possibly do, so no one can pride himself
in it or take glory to himself].”
Ephesians 2:8 – 9 Amp
4) Something else you need to know is that, Satan only knows a limited amount of details in
regards to your future, because whatever manifests in your life today, has already happened in
the spiritual realm sometime in your past (and with some time, it can be anything from a few
seconds ago to a few weeks ago). Therefore, “prophecy” that is being given to you from a wrong
spirit (e.g. like when you go to read your hand palm) has been made based on the knowledge
Satan has on your past, presence, near future, personality, character, the mistakes you make, the
words you speak, the people you associate yourself with, the pattern of your decisions you have
made thus far and your dreams and desire.
You must also know that Satan can to a certain degree control your future. It just depends on
how much control you give him. One way you can give him control over your life is through
fear. Another is by being ignorant to his workings, another is disobedience and yet another is
when you would for instances go to places where you ask people to read your hand palm.
One of the ways Satan can control your future is by making use of various sources such as by
making use of manipulation, domination, intimidation, fear, people and by telepathy (that is
when someone else places their thoughts into your mind making you believe it is yours). To help
explain this theory better, I have added 2 examples.
Example 1:
An example of how Satan can place his thoughts into someone else’ mind comes from a story
out of my own life.
Sometime ago I met a person I like to call Mr. X. What he did was, he used telepathy very
successfully on me to gain access to a certain church leader’s house (Mr. Y) so that he could
inflict Mr. Y terrible pain and place curses upon his house. This has been confirmed to me when
Mr. X told me that evening how he, when no one was watching, went through Mr. Y’s house to
“anoint” certain places. The next morning I found out that Mr. Y was experiencing excruciating
pain and that he had a terrible night. It was also brought to light that this experience is abnormal
to the given situation.
In another incident I was on my way to drop Mr. X off at his house when a very strange thought
came to mind that I should give my only car to him for free. Since I was busy praying in the
SPIRIT at that specific point in time I immediately knew that this thought did not come from
GOD and was I able to resist this thought. As it happened to be, the LORD also opened the
mouth of Mr. X where he has made known me of his personal desire for me to give my car to
him for free.
And this is how the LORD protected me from serious harm and this is how Satan uses telepathy
to control our thoughts.
P a g e | 35
MOVING BEYOND THE VEIL
Example 2:
Another way Satan can manipulate our future to a large degree is by using people. The most
common tactic he uses to do this is that he would use certain people in your life to constantly
speak certain things over your life until it has become part of your “identity” of who you believe
you are. These people can be literally be anyone from your family and friends, to your school
teacher and classmates, to the church and its leaders, to your boss and co-workers at your
workplace.
For instance: A mother tells her daughter that she is just like her father or that she will never
make a success of her career/ life or that she is fat. If a person stands in ignorance to these
words, the chances are good that these words will have a negative impact on this person’s life
and send him/her into the wrong direction of their life.
So how does this pertain to the false prophets?
The false prophet works on the same principles. Just like I am able to read people without
having it necessarily being a word of knowledge from YAH, likewise the false prophets can read
us. Added to that, the false prophet is spiritually connected to the kingdom of darkness and all
the lies that it contains and from this source the false prophet receives all the information he or
she needs in regards to your life to help them make accurate deductions and predictions on your
life.
5) Another character trade you have to take into account is that false prophets can also perform
signs, wonders and miracles. Remember, the great False Prophet of Revelation will also call out
fire from heaven (Revelation 13:13 – 14; 16:14; 2 Thessalonians 2:9 - 12).
“For false messiahs and false prophets will rise up and perform great signs and wonders so as
to deceive, if possible, even GOD’s chosen one.”
Matthew 24:24 NLT
“1) Suppose there are prophets among you or those who dream dreams about the future, and
they promise you signs or miracles,
“2) And they predicted signs or miracles occur, if they then say, ‘Come, let us worship other
gods’ – gods you have not known before –
“3) Do not listen to them. The LORD your GOD is testing you to see if you truly love HIM with
all your heart and soul.”
Deuteronomy 13: 1 – 3 NLT
6) False prophets also encourage rebellion against our GOD (Deuteronomy 13:5).
7) False prophets also do not encounter a lot of rejection and they do not experience persecution,
but are rather received with open arms by people wherever they go. Yes, due to curses that are
upon them they do from time to time experience hardship or people will oppose them because
these people have seen whom these prophets really are, but they rarely if ever experience
rejection.
P a g e | 36
MOVING BEYOND THE VEIL
Luke 6:22, 23 and 26 (Amp) says:
“22) Blessed (happy – with life-joy and satisfaction in GOD’s favor and salvation, apart from
your outward condition – and to be envied) are you when people despise (hate) you and
when they exclude and excommunicate you (as disreputable) and revile and denounce you
and defame and cast out and spurn your name as evil (wicked) on account of the SON of
MAN.
“23) Rejoice and be glad at such a time and exult and leap for joy, for behold, your reward is
rich and great and strong and intense and abundant in heaven; for even so their
forefathers treated the prophets.
“26) Woe to (alas for) you when everyone speaks fairly and handsomely of you and praises
you, for even so their forefathers did to the false prophets.”
“18) If the world hates you, know that it hated ME before it hated you.
“19) If you belonged to the world, the world would treat you with affection and would love you
as its own. But because you are not of the world [no longer one with it], but I have chosen
(selected) you out of the world, the world hates (detests) you.
“20) Remember that I told you, ‘A servant is not greater than his master [is not superior to
him].’ If they persecuted you; if they kept MY word and obeyed MY teachings, they will
also keep and obey yours.
“21) But they will do all this to you [inflict all this suffering on you] because of [your bearing]
MY Name and on MY account, for they do not know or understand the ONE WHO send
ME.”
John 15:18 – 21 Amp
“1) I have told you these things so that you won’t abandon your faith.
“2) For you will be expelled from the synagogues (today it might be from churches), and the
time is coming when those who kill you will think they are doing a holy service for GOD.
“3) This is because they have never known the FATHER or ME.”
John 16:1 - 3 NLT
“14) I have given and delivered to them YOUR Word (message) and the world has hated them,
because they are not of the world [do not belong to the world], just as I am not of the
world.
“15) I do not ask that YOU will take them out of the world, but that YOU will keep and protect
them from the evil one.”
John 17:14, 15 Amp
False prophets are people who portrays a strong, confident personality. They are people who
have strong leadership and people skills and they have a charisma that draws people to them like
a magnet. These are people that are high in demand and are highly sought after.
Now please note here, a true prophet can, and from time to time does, experience a lot of
popularity and a true prophet of YAH can become well known and well sought after, but these
prophets also experience an equal amount, if not more persecution, but especially rejection,
from other people at the same time.
P a g e | 37
MOVING BEYOND THE VEIL
The life of YESHUA is a classical example of this. As long as HE was ministering to people in
the area around Galilee, crowds of people have followed HIM wherever HE went, to the extent
where YESHUA had to ask HIS disciples to take HIM out on the lake just so that HE can have a
small time of privacy. But when YESHUA went to Nazareth, HIS home town or to Jerusalem,
HE was not regarded at all, but rather persecuted even to the point where HE ended up being
crucified.
8) A false prophet is not a loner, but a true prophet tends to be more of a loner. Colette Toach from
the Apostolic Mission International Organization wrote: “Yet I would tell you that the one who
is riding the wave of popularity and are welcomed with open arms by every status quo system is
more likely a deception sent of the enemy than the one who stands alone.” Evidence to confirm
this statement is found with the switch of a TV button. You just need to look at all the
Hollywood stars and their followers to know that this fact is true. Also, when we look at the
lives of the prophets Samuel, Jeremiah, Isaiah, Ezekiel and John the Baptist to name but a few,
we can clearly see that their lives are marked with life of seclusion and isolation. None of these
prophets ever had a lot of friends and they didn’t have much of a social life either.
9) False prophets speak words that will sooth the ear of the listener. 1 John 4:5 (Amp) says: “They
proceed from the world and are of the world; therefore it is out of the world [its whole economy
morally considered] that they speak, and the world listens (pay attention) to them”
And 2 Timothy 4:3, 4 says:
“3) For the time is coming when [people} will not tolerate (endure) sound and wholesome
instruction, but, having ears itching [for something pleasing and gratifying], they will gather to
themselves one teacher after another to a considerable number, chosen to satisfy their own
liking and to foster the errors they hold 4) And will turn aside from hearing the truth and
wander off into myths and man-made fictions.”
10) A false prophet does not know what it really means to serve, but is rather being served. A false
prophet is in many ways being treated like a king, so to speak, In contrast to this, a true prophet
first learns to serve and continues to do so their whole life long in the spirit of true humility.
11) False prophets will follow a heretical doctrine, a doctrine that is contradictory to the Word of the
LORD, yet so subtle in its change that it is hard to recognize it sometimes. Their doctrine and
teachings will lead you away from YAH and not towards HIM.
“1) But understand this, that in the last days will come (set in) perilous times of great stress and
trouble [hard to deal with and hard to bear].
“2) For people will be lovers of self and [utterly] self-centered, lovers of money and aroused by an
inordinate [greedy] desire for wealth, proud and arrogant and contemptuous boasters. They will
be abusive (blasphemous, scoffing), disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy and profane.
“3) [They will be] without natural [human] affection (callous and inhuman), relentless (admitting of
no truce or appeasement), [they will be] slanderers (false accusers, troublemakers), intemperate
and loose in morals and conduct, uncontrolled and fierce, haters of good.
“4) [They will be] treacherous [betrayers], rash, [and] inflated with self-conceit. [They will be] lovers
of sensual pleasures and vain amusements more than and rather than lover of GOD.

MOVING BEYOND THE VEIL
“5) For [although] they hold a form of piety (true religion), they deny and reject and are strangers to
the power of it [their conduct belies the genuineness of their profession]. Avoid [all] such people
[turn away from them].”
2 Timothy 3:1 – 5 Amp
“1) But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among
you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the LORD who bought them, and
bring on themselves swift destruction.
“2) And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed.
“3) By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words; for a long time their judgment has not
been idle, and their destruction does not slumber.
“10) And especially those who walk according to the flesh in the lust of uncleanness and despise
authority. They are self-willed; they are not afraid to speak evil of dignitaries.
“12) But these, like natural brute beasts made to be caught and destroyed, speak evil of the things they
do not understand, and will utterly perish in their own corruption.
“13) And will receive the wages of unrighteousness, as those who count it pleasure to carouse in the
daytime. They are spots and blemishes, carousing in their own deceptions while they feast with you.
“14) Having eyes full of adultery and that cannot cease from sin, beguiling unstable souls. They have
a heart trained in covetous practices, and are accursed children.
“15) They have forsaken the right way and gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Beor,
who loved the wages of unrighteousness.
“18) For when they speak great swelling words of emptiness, they allure through the lusts of the flesh,
through licentiousness, the ones who have actually escaped from those who live in error.
“19) While they promise them liberty, they themselves are slaves of corruption; for by whom a person
is overcome, by him also is brought into bondage.
“21) For it would have been better for them to not have known the way of righteousness, than having
known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered to them.”
2 Peter 2:1 – 3, 10, 12 – 15, 18, 19, 21 NKJV
“For many deceivers have gone out into the world who do not confess JESUS CHRIST as coming in the
flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.”
2 John 7 NKJV
“1) Whoever believes that JESUS is the CHRIST is born of GOD, and everyone who loves HIM who
begot also love him who is begotten of HIM.
“2) By this we know that we are the children of GOD, when we love GOD and keep HIS
commandments.”
1 John 5:1, 2 NKJV
“1) Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of GOD; because many
false prophets have gone into the world.
“2) By this you know the SPIRIT of GOD; Every spirit that confesses that JESUS CHRIST has come in
the flesh is of GOD.
“3) And every spirit that does not confess that JESUS CHRIST has come in the flesh is not of GOD. And
this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the
world.
“5) They are of the world. Therefore they speak as of the world, and the world hears them.
P a g e | 39
MOVING BEYOND THE VEIL
“6) We are of GOD. He who knows GOD hears us; he who is not of GOD does not hear us. By this we
know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.
“7) Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of GOD; and everyone who loves is born of GOD and
knows GOD.
“8) He who does not love does not know GOD, for GOD is love.”
1 John 4:1 – 3, 5 – 8 NKJV

  • 4. P a g e | 4 MOVING BEYOND THE VEIL Please note that the publishing style I have used, capitalizes certain pronouns in Scripture that refers to the FATHER, SON and the HOLY SPIRIT and it may differ from some other publishers’ styles. Please take note that out of respect to the TRIUNE GOD, all references made to GOD, has been capitalized in full. Thus, I have done this even to the point of violating certain grammatical rules. The Scriptures states that we need to respect and honor those rulers who have been placed above us. Although Satan is not superior to GOD, he is still currently ruling over the earth. Even though I do not abide to his rules that violates the Scriptures, by printing his name according the grammatical rules, I wish to respect and acknowledge his power he has been given (for a short while) to rule this earthly domain. It is only in GOD and through GOD and through GOD’s grace that I am made more than him. Without GOD, I am nothing compared to him and have I no personal power or authority to stand against him and it is thus with this respect that I have written about him, wherever I had to mention him. Also please take note that the names of GOD have been used interchangeably with the proper Hebrew name. Therefore, when I refer the RUACH HAKADESH, I refer to the HOLY SPIRIT. When I refer to YHWH, I refer to GOD the FATHER and YESHUA refers to JESUS, HIS Son. Even though I acknowledge that YAH is an abbreviated form of the name YHWH, I would however for the purpose of this thesis refer to YAH as the Triune GOD, namely GOD the FATHER, JESUS HIS SON and the HOLY SPIRIT, so as to avoid any confusion when I make reference to GOD, the FATHER and the Triune GOD.

  • 8. P a g e | 8 MOVING BEYOND THE VEIL About the Author Rinette was born in South Africa and raised in Namibia in a household where both her parents had a relationship with the LORD. She grew up during her first 6 years first in a theological seminary and then later in a church environment where her father was the minister and her mother part of the mission’s committee. This has not only resulted in her developing a deep love for the church and its people, but it is also where she started to gain a deep insight into the workings of the church. Her experience, combined with her strong observation skills, resulted in developing a strong love for the LORD from an early age and those years can be marked as the foundational years on which everything else was built. She gave her heart to the LORD at the tender age of 4 and then, at the age of 12 received her calling to enter the full time ministry sometime in the future. This calling was soon followed by confirmations from several strangers over the course of the next twenty years of her life. And she started to actively prepare herself for this calling. At the age of 14, over the Pesach/Easter weekend, during a church service, she responded to an invitation which was extended by her pastor and got baptized. Co- incidentally, exactly a year later, at an Easter camp, while the pastor was still busy preaching, she was baptised by the HOLY SPIRIT. Between the ages of 14 and 18, during her high school years, she experienced a period of extreme rapid spiritual growth which was clearly evident as she began to actively minister to her fellow peers and teachers. During those years she had several stage dance performances, ministered to her friends at the school’s dance, opened the morning class session with Scripture and prayer, joined the school’s journalist team and ministered to her teachers and classmates via oral and essays. Ultimately, at the age of 17 and 18, she shared the Word of GOD in the school hall to approximately a thousand students and teachers. However, it was her way of life, the manner in which she practised what she preached and the unwillingness to compromise her faith just for the sake of receiving good academic marks; that ultimately served as the greatest means through which she ministered and witnessed to all around her. During this same period, she also used her time to become actively involved in various church activities which included: various evangelistic campaigns, joining the worship team, becoming a Sunday School teacher, choreography of some of the Sunday School plays and starting intensive research in regards to various so called “secular” music such as Rock, Hip Hop and Heavy Metal. She was also the first in her church to learn the art of prophetic dancing by attending various courses and introduced it to her Pentecostal church. Having learned this art, she was presented with a multiple of opportunities to dance at various churches on stage. After school she continued to be actively involved in various evangelistic outreaches and was approached by various Christian institutions to assist them in this regard. These institutions included the Book of Hope and the AEB. She also facilitated a children’s home cell group, hosted her own children’s holiday workshop and was part of Child Evangelism fellowship. Rinette got married directly after she finished school. A year later her first son was born and two years later her second son was born. Both of them are now in their early teenage years. Regrettably her marriage with her husband only lasted for a period of 10 years, but the divorce procedures and everything after that went peacefully. She and her, now former husband, still have a peaceful relationship with each other and in many ways they can be regarded as being long-distance friends.
  • 9. P a g e | 9 MOVING BEYOND THE VEIL After her divorce she devoted her time to completing her theological studies and has, at the time of writing this book, been ordained as a pastor, completed her Honours degree in Ministry and is busy finishing her Master’s Degree. On 20 September 2013 she became the founder of her own inter-denominational, non-church based ministry with the sole purpose of providing support to churches in the areas of consultant, speaker, conference facilitator, choreography, prophetic dancing, in various areas of training (e.g. ushers and worship) and in all areas of evangelism and outreaches. She has also been involved in the training of several women in prophetic dancing. Her church experience extends from the extreme conservative to the extreme charismatic. • 10. P a g e | 10 MOVING BEYOND THE VEIL PREFACE: MOVING BEYOND THE VEIL Moving Beyond The Veil refers to the act of entering into the throne room of GOD where HIS manifesting presence not only becomes tangible, but also visible in your life to such a degree that not only you, but also others will start to notice this presence in your life. Many charismatic’s refer to this as an “open heaven”. Another way I can describe this is by referring back to the Old Testament to the Tabernacle of GOD. The High Priest moved into the place called the Holy of Holies into the very tangible, manifesting presence of YAH. This they achieved by moving beyond the veil or curtain that separated the Holy Place from the Holy of Holies. An even simpler way to describe this is by comparing it with a bride. In the not so distant past, it was the custom of the bride to wear a veil that covered her face until her bridegroom or newlywed husband removed this veil and kisses her on her lips. And this is exactly what happens when we move beyond the veil. When we move beyond the veil, the veil that has caused a separation between us and our BELOVED, is being lifted up. Behind this veil, before this veil is being lifted up, is a hidden beauty – the beauty of the Bride. Behind this veil hides the true reflection of the beauty and glory our BELOVED, YESHUA HAMACHIACH. Behind this veil hides our true love, joy and admiration for the ONE who literally gave HIS own life to save ours. But when this veil is being lifted up, all of this is (from time to time) being revealed to all the guests, on a lucky few occasions to the world out there, and all of the time to our LORD. When this veil is being lifted, our eyes are open a fresh. We get to see our world in a completely different light and we get to see what we could not see before and therefore we receive revelation upon revelation upon revelation. When this veil is being lifted even the fogginess in our intellect and mind is being lifted and we therefore grow into a deeper understanding and relationship with JESUS. When this veil is being lifted, we literally move into HIS tangible presence and do we get to experience the rare chance of a true love’s kiss. For the Bride to get to the point where she moves beyond the veil (or have the veil lifted), asks from the Bride to go through an extensive preparation process and to exercise even more faith. Still, at the end of the day it is not what the Bride did or did not do that determines whether that veil gets lifted or not, but rather if the BRIDEGROOM accepts her or not, for only HE is allowed to lift that veil. The WORD of GOD says in Ephesians 2:8 – 10 (Amp) “For it is by free grace (GOD’s unmerited favour) that you are saved (delivered from judgment and made partakers of CHRIST’s salvation) through [your] faith. And this [salvation] is not of yourselves [of your own doing, it came not through your own striving], but it is the gift of GOD; 9) Not because of works [not the fulfilment of the Law’s demands], lest any man should boast. [It is not the result of what anyone can possibly do, so no one can pride himself in it or take glory to himself.]” And so it comes that the Bride, after she has done all the manicures and pedicures and facials and beauty treatments, that she ends up walking down that aisle to the altar, in faith, hoping and trusting that, when the preacher extends an invitation to her BRIDEGROOM to accept her as HIS wife that HE would say: YES!!!
  • 11. P a g e | 11 MOVING BEYOND THE VEIL At this very moment YESHUA (JESUS) is also waiting very anxiously for us to come down that aisle and we do not need to wait for death to come or the rapture to happen to experience Heaven. We can experience Heaven on earth, for when JESUS is residing within you, when you are filled with HOLY SPIRIT, Heaven is in you and therefore this Heaven can be unleashed into this earth. It is HIS deepest desire to romance us, to share with us HIS heart and some secrets too. It is HIS heart’s desire to share with us real time of intimacy. It is really HIS desire to manifest HIMSELF, HIS power and glory through us to the world. All it asks from us is a bit of physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual preparation as well as love, obedience and faith and you are all ready to experience the big moment you have been waiting for so long – the moment where this veil is being lifted. The moment you move beyond the veil. For the purpose of this book, I will give you some basic guidelines on how to worship GOD in such a way, that it would be pleasing to HIM and in doing so help you make this journey easier (maybe even shorter) and so much more exciting. I trust that this book will help you unlock the heavens above you and that you will truly get the chance to experience HIS manifesting presence in your life. JESUS really wants to meet us and HE really wants to lift the veil from our eyes and minds and HE REALLY wants us to experience the touch of HIS o so sweet lips. And HE is waiting…
  • 12. P a g e | 12 MOVING BEYOND THE VEIL INTRODUCTION: THE OBSTACLE COURSE The first issue I would like to address is the obstacles in this life that stops us and prevents us from moving beyond this veil. Some common causes are unforgiveness, rejection, pain, circumstances and life itself. Other contributing factors are fear, a guilty conscious that constantly condemns us, the feeling of being too insignificant or unworthy, Satan’s lies, the inherited desire to remain in control, our personal believes, our music, the way we worship GOD, our desire to seek worldly pleasures and the lessons life, our family and social environment has taught us. Moving beyond this veil isn’t an easy journey. It is like when a man finds a treasure on a small piece of land and then sets out to sell all he has so that he may be able to buy this piece of land (Matthew 13:44). For example, let’s look at the life of Moses. Before Moses was able to experience YAH’s manifesting presence and even get a glimpse of HIM, he literally had to sacrifice everything. For instance we see: 1) That Moses had to sacrifice his very comfortable life in the palace of Pharaoh and exchanged it with an extremely uncomfortable life in a tent in the desert. 2) He had to sacrifice his position. He, who once was known as one of the princes of Egypt, became a mere shepherd and stranger in a foreign land. 3) He had to sacrifice his country – the place he was born and grew up in – for a country he only heard about. 4) He had to sacrifice his social life. He, who once enjoyed a big circle of friends and parties, had to end up being satisfied with sheep for company. 5) He had to sacrifice his family three times. First was when he as a boy had to leave his mother’s house to go and stay in the house of Pharaoh. Then he had to sacrifice that family for the life in the wilderness. He also had to sacrifice the family he received during his 40 year stay in the wilderness, to follow GOD’s command to go and help the Israelites escape from Egypt. This he had to do without knowing how GOD was going to use him. He had to change his diet from being used to eating fine delicatessens to eating the food the wilderness provided him with. 6) He had to say goodbye to the people of Egypt and the Israelites and say hallo to a nation or nations he might have barely met before. 7) He had to let go of the Egyptian way of doing things and learn to do things in the way people in the wilderness would do. 8) He had to let go of the way he perceived and viewed GOD. The first time this happened was during the first 40 years he ventured in the wilderness. The second time came about when YAH spoke to him from a burning bush. The third time was during the time the ten plagues hit Egypt. During this time he had come to the realization that the gods of Egypt were not what he thought they were. He also learned that those people (e.g. the sorceress, wizards and Pharaoh) he once feared, weren’t as fearful, scary and powerful as he thought they were. He also came to a new understanding and realization of how powerful and mighty his GOD, the GOD of Israel, YAH, really is. The fourth incident where he had to let go of his presumptions ideas and views of who GOD was, was during his several ventures up on to the mountain after the Israelites escaped from Egypt. 9) He had to let go of his pride, arrogance and having the need to be in control of everything all the time. He had to let go of his fears and insecurities and had to learn to trust GOD for everything and that included protecting him and the Israelites, providing in their needs, providing him with wisdom, saving them from the hand of Pharaoh and helping them escape from Egypt. And while he was in the desert for the first 40 years, he, in essence had to die within himself. All his
  • 13. P a g e | 13 MOVING BEYOND THE VEIL dreams had to die. All his hope had to die. All his ambitions had to die and he had to let go of the condemning sentence that was hanging around his neck: “I am a murderer”. In return, Moses received a new family and a much bigger one at that. He had the opportunity to see a giant fall (Egypt and Pharaoh). He was restored to a title higher than the one he had before. He was restored to a fame bigger than the one he had (his name has been made known through thousands of generations and has been mentioned in even more books and other social media). He had firsthand experience of seeing GOD’s power manifesting on earth. He had the opportunity to experience how GOD worked through him (he who once were a nothing) in a mightily and powerful way. And he experienced GOD’s tangible presence on a regular basis. He and GOD had an extremely deep and intimate relationship with each other. Moses knew what it meant to move beyond the veil. A life of disobedience is a huge factor that hinders us tremendously on our journey to moving beyond the veil. I can give you for instance a thousand pointers on how to get beyond this veil, but if you are not going to follow them in accordance to GOD’s instructions (i.e. apply these principles when and how HE tells you to apply them), it means nothing. Another very successful tool Satan uses to stop us is fear. A fear for what people, family or friends may think or say, a fear for the unknown, but especially a fear to let go of that which you regarded as yours, because the journey to GOD’s throne is a journey that requires absolute trust, obedience and even more faith. During my own walk I felt many times as if I was walking in a pitch dark, cold valley where I couldn’t see anything, couldn’t feel anything and sometimes I even struggled to hear, but during these times I did only one of two things: I used my ears. I listened to GOD and walked in faith and obedience to what HE said and when I couldn’t hear HIM I did nothing. I made no decisions or did anything out of the ordinary. I just waited upon HIM. And the way I listened to HIM was by HIS WORD, the promises HE made, but mostly I was driven by my heart. Did I have peace? Did I have the motivation, the courage and strength to do what I thought I had to do? If I didn’t experience HIS supernatural strength or a peace and knowing that really can’t be put into words, I simply did nothing. But in all of it, I discovered that somewhere in my life I simply had to let go. I had to let go of my rights, I had to let go of my furniture (GOD is still providing for me in this in a very supernatural way), I had to let go of what my parents expected from me and to obey their every command (as much as I love and respect them), I had to let go of my beliefs, the people I loved so much, my fears, but most of all, of all my hopes, dreams and ambitions. But a moment in HIS presence makes it all worthwhile and as it is, GOD is (as it was with Moses) busy restoring my life. However, the biggest and most successful obstacle Satan is using to stop us from moving beyond this veil is the way we worship GOD. In regards to this subject, GOD HIMSELF has taught me a lot about worship itself. HE has taught me the various styles of worship that currently exists in the world, HE taught me about the various cultures that are currently reigning within our worship life and HE has taught me how HE desires to be worshipped. Over the last 30 years HE has taught me how to engage, through worship, into spiritual warfare and how the prophetic anointing fits into this whole picture. Therefore, the information I will be sharing with you in the rest of this book comes from a life where I have walked a very personal road with YHWH for about 30 years now. Out of this 30 years, more than
  • 14. P a g e | 14 MOVING BEYOND THE VEIL 20 years have been spent in doing intensive research, attending various worship courses, classes, seminars and studies and gaining practical, firsthand experience in literally every subject I would be mentioning in this book. Over the years I have learned how to find and experience YHWH in my inner room, while driving from point A to point B, in the restaurant, on the pavement and while enjoying a beautiful sunset. And yes, I have been in Heaven and I have been transported by the SPIRIT of GOD, in the spirit and in the natural to another place. There are various factors that influences the way we worship GOD. However, the three main factors that influence our style of worship are: sound (this includes music and all verbal communication); body language (including all body movements) and sign language (symbolism) and all of these has a prophetic component to it which I will also briefly touch on in this book. Some other components I will touch on over the next few chapters are: • The value, significance and power of symbolism; • How music influences our behaviour and our worship; • Worship styles; • And our prayer life. Due to the fact that dancing before GOD contains all three of the factors (sound, body language and sign language), I will be zooming in and devote a chapter or two specifically on the significance and importance of dancing before YAH. I will also define the words “anointing” and the “Prophetic”. I will also include something on how to identify the false prophet and let you in on a little secret which I like to refer to as “Satan’s biggest success story up to date”
  • 15. P a g e | 15 MOVING BEYOND THE VEIL CHAPTER 1: DEFINING THE ANOINTING The baptism of the HOLY SPIRIT is vitally important and essential for any believer who desires GOD’s anointing to manifest through their life. Only the HOLY SPIRIT can activate the manifestation of HIS anointing upon your life and you can only get the HOLY SPIRIT by means of the baptism. The baptism of the HOLY SPIRIT is like a key which has been put into the starter of your vehicle and then turned to get the engine running. Without this key, your car won’t be able to move one inch forward. Every single person receives GOD’s anointing the day they are born again, but the activation of this anointing only starts once they are filled with the HOLY SPIRIT. JESUS is a very good example of this. HE was the first person ever to be baptized by the HOLY SPIRIT and even though JESUS grew up from birth with this anointing upon HIS life, HE was only able to perform HIS first miracle after HE has been baptized by water and by the HOLY SPIRIT (John 1:29 – 34; John 2:1 – 11). The immediate questions one tends to ask are: Will the anointing on my life prevent me from having any problems? Does it mean when I have the anointing, it will prevent me from never having any enemies? Will the anointing on my life guarantee me a life of continuous prosperity and zero sufferings such as hunger? Will it keep all diseases away from me or at the very least help me to heal of whatever disease within minutes? What is the anointing? Having the anointing on your life, does not mean you will never fall ill. Neither does it mean you will never experience any kind of sufferings or problems and no, the enemies will not decrease. It will rather increase and there are multiple examples to prove these facts. King David for instance had a multiple of enemies after he was anointed. JESUS who was the most anointed ONE, suffered under persecution. Not only that, HE took all our sufferings, sins and curses upon HIMSELF, so that we might be able to live in freedom. Paul, who was also an extremely anointed man, suffered severe persecution, hunger and other sufferings. When we have GOD’s anointing upon our lives, we will experience hardship in our lives. Hebrew 5:8 (Amp) says “Although HE was a SON; HE learned [active, special] obedience through what HE suffered.” JESUS says in John 15:20 (NIV) “…No servant is greater than his master. If they persecuted ME, they will persecute you also” and in Matthew 23:34 (NIV) HE says to the Pharisees “Therefore I am sending you prophets and wise men and teachers. Some of them you will kill and crucify; others you will flog in synagogues and pursue from town to town”. And there is a very good reason for that. The anointing opens the heavens over us. It breaks the power of the evil forces in the air so that others may experience freedom and liberty and get an opportunity to see the truth. When they see the truth, they see GOD’s light and are convicted of their sins. This conviction gives them the opportunity to be converted and receive eternal life. The truth also enables those who already know JESUS as their MESSIAH to be set free from any other bondages and yokes under which they find themselves, such as fear, depression and most of all the past that just loves to haunt Christians day in and day out. This means that the more a person grows into their anointing, the more power they will have over the enemy and all his works. The result is that Satan will try everything within his power to stop you from growing into your anointing, because you literally become a serious threat to him. John White said: “Satan fears those words that come fresh from GOD’s lips… Because Satan so dreads the fresh Word, he will arouse
  • 16. P a g e | 16 MOVING BEYOND THE VEIL controversy wherever it comes forth miraculously through the lips of a real prophet or from the lips of an evangelist aflame with the Spirit”(as quoted by John E MacArthur Jr.; 1992:80). Defining the anointing The anointing can be defined as the power of the HOLY SPIRIT. John 3:8 (NIV) says that “it blows wherever it pleases” and therefore it is impossible for us to turn the anointing on or off according to our own desires and wishes. And it is as R.T Kendall (in The Anointing – Yesterday, Today. Tomorrow; 1998:12) said – it is the anointing on our gifts that makes those gifts function with ease. It is to find unmerited favor and grace from GOD. The word anointing literally means: • To pour oil out on holy objects or persons; • To smear or rub in this oil all over the object or person to be consecrated; • To supernaturally equip someone to perform supernatural things; • It is the tangible, manifesting presence and power of GOD upon a believer’s life. • To be appointed and empowered by GOD for the task or position which HE has called you to; • Having the hand of GOD upon a believer’s life. The anointing signifies the HOLY SPIRIT and the transfer of authority. Stephen F. Olford wrote in his book The Secret of Soul Winning (1978:20) that the anointing is the “spiritual authority in the work of GOD and a spiritual knowledge of the Word of GOD” The difference between the baptism of the Holy Spirit and the anointing: The baptism of the HOLY SPIRIT is focused on your relationship with GOD. The anointing is focused on responsibility and your relationship with the people around you. The baptism is for your daily, personal walk with GOD, the anointing is a vocation, because it has to do with the releasing of the gifts of the HOLY SPIRIT and these gifts are not there for self-edification, but to make disciples for GOD. The baptism is an immersion of the SPIRIT and the anointing the clothing of power from on High. The baptism has to do with what happens inside of you, while the anointing is more an outward experience. It is what people see and experience that makes the difference. In Luke 24:49 we read that the disciples had to wait until they were clothed with power from GOD. Olford said that the baptism was initial and final (1 Corinthians 12:13), while the clothing with power was initial and continual. This continual clothing with power is the result of a life of prayerfulness (Acts 1:14; 2:4) and yieldedness (Acts 5:32) “Now HE which stablisheth us with you in CHRIST, and hath anointed us, is GOD, who hath also sealed us, and given us the earnest of the SPIRIT in our hearts” 2 Corinthians 1:21, 22 KJV Purpose of the anointing The anointing has a multifold of purposes. The anointing: • Blesses and encourages others; • It is self-edifying; • It gives unmerited favor;
  • 17. P a g e | 17 MOVING BEYOND THE VEIL • It teaches and guides you into all truth. The Word of GOD says: “You have an anointing from the HOLY ONE… The anointing you received from HIM remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you… HE will teach you all things…” and “…guide you into all truth” (1 John 2:20, 27; John 14:26; John 16:18 NIV); • It breaks the yokes from our shoulder. Isaiah 10:27 (NKJV) says: “It shall come to pass in that day that his burden will be taken away from your shoulder, and his yoke from your neck, and the yoke will be destroyed because of the anointing oil”; • It supernaturally enables and equips us for the work of GOD; • Proverbs 18:16 (Amp) says: “A man’s gift makes room for him and brings him before great men;” • It releases extraordinary gifts and supernatural endowments. John 14:12 – 14 (NIV) says: “I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in ME will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the FATHER. And I will do whatever you ask in MY name, so that the SON may bring glory to the FATHER. You may ask anything in MY name and I will do it”; • It helps the believer to accomplish mighty things in their lives and ministry; • It gives a person charisma. Charisma is to have an “electrifying personality” (Kendal). It is like a magnet that draws people to you. A person who has charisma stands out in a crowd. Such a person would mostly do the opposite of what the crowd is doing. • It fills the void and emptiness within us, because the anointing brings us into a closer and deeper relationship with GOD. It enables us to have fellowship with GOD, because it breaks down all the barriers that are between us and GOD. Psalm 23:5 – 6 (NIV) says: “YOU prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. YOU anoint my head with oil, my cup overflows. Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever”; • It gives us courage and boldness (i.e. In Acts 2:14 – 36 Peter stood up courageously in front of a multitude of people and spoke boldly and confidently the Word of GOD to these people in a time every disciple was scared that they would also be persecuted); • It gives us power (Acts 1:8); • It is for the perfecting of the saints (Ephesians 4:12); • To build up the Body of CHRIST (Ephesians 4:12); • To enable us to reach unity in faith (Ephesians 4:13); • To enable us to become mature into the fullness of CHRIST (Ephesians 4:13); • To enable us to become successful soul-winners and to bring in the harvest. Stephan Olford said: “To be successful soul-winners, we too must know not only the fullness of the HOLY ANOINTING, but the holy anointing”; • To prepare us to enter through the veil to meet our BRIDEGROOM and KING. Tommy Tenney wrote in his book The GOD Chasers (1998:43. 44): “The Holy of Holies awaits the anointed… It prepares us from flesh to glory.” Maretha Beselaar wrote in her book, BH306: Apostolic Counselling (2013:p65) that the anointing which GOD pours out on HIS children, is the power which HE pours out on us to enable us to accomplish specific tasks and assignments on this earth for the enhancement of the Kingdom of GOD. She wrote that it is “the power of the presence of the LORD.”
  • 18. P a g e | 18 MOVING BEYOND THE VEIL In essence the anointing boils down to this: • The anointing brings heaven to earth; • The anointing is the visible manifestation of YESHUA HAMACHIACH, the RUACH HAKADESH and ABBA FATHER in your life, so that others may see and know who JESUS really is and what it means to have a father who really loves and cares about them; • The amount of the anointing that is resting upon your life will determine to what extend heaven is manifested on earth and in your life; • Without the anointing you CANNOT move beyond the veil.
  • 19. P a g e | 19 MOVING BEYOND THE VEIL CHAPTER 2: DEFINING THE PROPHETIC Introduction When it comes to the prophetic one finds that people all over the world reacts differently when this topic is brought up and that many different kinds of feelings and thoughts are being stirred and brought to the front. Some of us (a very small minority of us) would have the tendency to embrace this topic with wide open arms and even a smaller amount out of this group would jump right into this, throwing all caution into the wind as they do so. But at large, the biggest group approaches this subject with the greatest caution. Others again would give the prophetic a completely new meaning and definition and others would severely reject this subject right from the start. When we look at the main motives behind these reactions, we find that there are 4 main reasons for this: 1) Some of us have grown up from early childhood with extremely strong theological and doctrinal believes. 2) Some of us have either been given the wrong information on what the prophetic really is or merely lacks some knowledge and understanding on what the prophetic is all about. 3) Many of us (this includes me) are extremely cautious of not being deceived by false teachings, doctrines and prophets. 4) Hurt. Some of us has really been hurt by people who said that they are prophets (and who may really have been true prophets of GOD), but something they did or did not do has lead us to a place where we have been severely hurt to the point where even our relationship with the LORD has gotten hurt and been tested to the limit (and once again I am not excluded from this). I believe that worship and the prophetic is one and the same thing, therefore due to all the misconceptions that are currently existing about the prophetic, along with all the other factors I have mentioned previously, I thought it to be of extreme importance to devote a few pages on the following topics: a) What is a prophet? b) What is the difference between a prophet and prophesying? c) What are the duties of a prophet? d) Do prophets still exist? e) Is being a prophet and prophesying Biblical? f) Does the prophetic not belong to the Old Testament alone? g) Identifying the false prophets – some common trademarks of the false prophets So what is the prophetic and who are the prophets? The concordance describes the prophetic/prophet/prophesying as follow: • To see (in vision) – chazah (Isaiah 30:10) • What is lifted up. A burden, message – massa (Proverbs 30:1; 31:1); • Prophecy – nebuah (2 Chronicles 9:20; 15:8; Nehemiah 6:12); • A prophet – nabi (Daniel 9:24);
  • 20. P a g e | 20 MOVING BEYOND THE VEIL • Prophecy, public exposition – prophēteia (Matthew 13:14; 1 Corinthians 12:10; 13:8; 1 Timothy 1:18; 2 Peter 1:20, 21); • Prophetic – prophētikos (2 Peter 1:19); • To prophesy; flow forth – naba, (1 Samuel 10:11; 1 Kings 22:12; 1 Chronicles 25:1; Jeremiah 37:19; Ezekiel 4:7; 11:4, 13; 12:27, 28; 13:2, 16, 17; 36:1, 3, 6; 37:4, 7, 9, 12; 38:2, 14, 17; 39:1; Joel 2:28, 29; Amos 3:8); • To show self a prophet – naba, 7 (Numbers 11:25 – 27; 1 Samuel 10:5, 6, 10; 18:10; 1 Kings 18:29 - 40; 22:8 – 28; Jeremiah 14:14); • To prophecy - neba, 2 (Ezra 5:1); The prophetic is there to uplift, encourage, exalt and honour our LORD. It serves the purpose of giving us a sense of direction, peace and hope during the time when we feel as if our whole world is falling apart. It strengthens us and equips us so that we might be able to go out to all the nations and make disciples out of them (as it was YESHUA’s last great command to us before HE ascended to Heaven).1 The prophetic anointing serves as the tool through which heaven is released upon earth so that we and the world may see and know who JESUS really is. The prophetic anointing breaks the strongholds and curses in our lives so that we won’t need to live a life of bondage and slavery, but that of HIS children who has been set free by HIS blood. The prophetic acts that are being performed (e.g. dancing, singing, reading out GOD’s Word and playing musical instruments) are acts in which we intercede for others, engage into spiritual warfare and draw us closer to YHWH. It is through this prophetic anointing on our life that we will end up moving beyond the veil and no, we do not need to be a prophet to be able to flow in the prophetic anointing. In 1 Corinthians 14 Paul continues to say that we do not need to be a prophet to be able to prophecy and that prophecy is actually a very important and essential part of the church if it desires to remain healthy. In the Scripture passage Paul also says that it is through the prophetic gift that sinners are saved for the prophetic convicts the sinner of his/her sins. And in 1 Corinthians 14:31 – 33 (Amp) Paul says: “For you can all prophesy one by one, that all may be encouraged. 32) And the spirits of the prophets (the speakers in tongues) are subject to the prophets [and subject to be silenced as may be necessary]. 33) For GOD is not the author of confusion (disorder) but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints.” While YESHUA (JESUS) was on earth HE performed signs, wonders and miracles and HE flowed in the prophetic – a lot (e.g. Matthew 8:3; 24:1 – 44; 25:31 – 46; John 2:19 – 22, 25; 4:1 – 31) YESHUA came to earth to set an example to us of how we ought to live. If that is the case, why would HE then only give a handful of people the opportunity to do what HE did? Yes, YAH (GOD) is busy raising leaders who flow in all of these, but the only reason why these leaders are there is to help the rest of the church (i.e. the body of believers) to do exactly what they are doing. Therefore a prophet is someone: • Who is driven to apply the Word of GOD to a situation so that sin can successfully be addressed and relationships can be restored. • Who are considered to be the “trumpets” of the Body of CHRIST who sound the alarm in the face of sin, compromise and danger. 1 Matthew 28:18
  • 21. P a g e | 21 MOVING BEYOND THE VEIL • Who is more interested in whether or not the heart is pure than whether or not the activity in question is acceptable. In other words, the prophet tests the motives and not the actions. • Who judges the fruit the person is displaying in their lives (Galatians 5:18 – 22) and not the person. A prophet is someone who has been appointed by GOD into this office (or leadership position). This is an irrevocable, permanent leadership position within the Church and Body of CHRIST (1 Corinthians 14:27 – 31). They are the ones who act as watchmen on the wall (Ezekiel 3:16 – 21). They are the ones who stand in the council of GOD and who “holds an office of authority in the Church.” They are carriers of a divine anointing. Dr Jeff, the director of Team Impact University, wrote in his book BP404: The Prophetic Anointing (2011:7): “The prophetic anointing comes through the mouth of man, but it comes from the mind of GOD”. This anointing is to enable the prophet to break down strongholds, do deliverance, engage into spiritual warfare, to speak a divine word from GOD and to give them the full authority needed to declare and decree HIS will into existence on earth. “So shall MY Word be that goes forth out of my mouth: it shall not return to ME void (without producing any effect, useless), but it shall accomplish that which I please and purpose, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it” (Isaiah 55:11 Amp). J. Eckhart wrote in The Restoration of the Apostles and Prophets: How It Will Revolutionize Ministry in the 21st century (2001:49): “This authority is given to prophets by grace for two reasons: one, awaiting the destruction of the kingdom of Satan. The other is for the establishment of the kingdom of GOD.” Prophets are carriers of inspiration so that the Church may be uplifted, edified, motivated and encouraged. They are GOD’s spoke’s person to represent HIS heart and interest to the people HE wants them to minister to. “Prophecy is speaking HIS mind, HIS heart and HIS intentions to the church through a believer as revealed by the HOLY SPIRIT. Prophecy is the outflow of the heart and the very nature of GOD.”(Van Wyk, J. 2011:7) They are appointed by GOD first for HIS Church then for those who are outside the Church. “The Greek word used for prophet has two parts. The first part “Pro” means: “fore, in front of or prior to” and the second part “Phemi” means: “to show or make known”. They are therefore people who have a “sense of foreknowledge or foretelling.” According to J. Edmiston in Biblical Management Principles (1995 – 2010) another Greek word that has been used for prophet was “proheteria” which means to speak forth the mind and council of GOD. They say that it is “the SPIRIT given empowerment and desire to serve GOD by proclaiming GOD’s truth.” “Les Crause from the Apostolic Mission International wrote in his article What is a Prophetic Ministry: “The Prophetic Ministry has the ability to bring the presence of GOD into a gathering. Since the prophet is in touch spiritually with the mind of GOD, it is inevitable that as the prophetic ministry starts to function, the HOLY SPIRIT will be released to work. This is also brought about as people are led into the place GOD wants them to be as the prophetic ministry exhorts, encourages and gives direction.” a) The general duties of a Prophet The prophet’s duties can therefore basically be summarized within four words – they speak and pray. When they speak, they communicate any word YAH gives them to speak. They speak for the purpose to:
  • 22. P a g e | 22 MOVING BEYOND THE VEIL • Edify; • Exhort; • Comfort; • Predict; • Direct; • Rebuke; • Teach; • Warn; • And to protect the Body of CHRIST. They speak for the purpose of: • Preparing the ground for what God is planning to do; • To establish the Kingdom of God; • And to destroy the Kingdom of Darkness by means of decreeing, declaring, intercession (which includes worship, praising God, doing penitence and petitioning) and spending time in the throne room of God. Through their words, they: • Give guidance; • Deliver; • And break down the strongholds of the enemy. By the laying of hands; they impart spiritual gifts to the Body of CHRIST with the purpose to equip them. A lot of their time, is spent in seeking the face of GOD so that they may be able to hear the heart of YAH for HIS people and so that they may be spiritually in a position where YAH can pour onto them fresh revelations from HIS throne room so that they in turn can go and bless others with these revelations. ”…Man does not live on bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of GOD.” Matthew 4:4 NIV “Then the LORD put forth His hand and touched my mouth. And the LORD said to me, ‘Behold, I have put MY words in your mouth. See, I have this day appointed you to the oversight of the nations and of the kingdoms to root out and pull down, to destroy and to overthrow, to build and to plant.” Jeremiah 1:9 – 10 NIV Scriptures to confirm what a prophet is “18) I [personally solemnly] warn everyone who listens to the statements of the prophecy [the predictions and the consolations and admonitions pertaining to them] in this book: If anyone shall add anything to them, GOD will add and lay upon him the plagues (the afflictions and the calamities) that are recorded and described in this book. “19) And if anyone cancels or takes away from the statements of the book of this prophecy [these predictions relating to CHRIST’s kingdom and its speedy triumph, together with the consolations and admonitions or warnings pertaining to them], GOD will cancel and take away from him his

He who prophesies [who is inspired to preach and teach] is greater (more useful and more important) than he who speaks in [unknown] tongues, unless he should interpret [what he says], so that the church may be edified and receive good [from it]. “24) But if all prophesy [giving inspired testimony and interpreting the divine will and purpose] and an unbeliever or untaught outsider comes in, he is told of his sin and reproved and convicted and convinced by all and his defects and needs are examined (estimated, determined) and he is called to account by all. “25) The secrets of his heart are laid bare; and so, falling on [his] face, he will worship GOD, declaring that GOD is among you in very truth. “29) Let two or three prophets speak, and let the others judge. “31) For you can all prophesy one by one, that all may learn and all may be encouraged. “32) And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets. “39) Therefore, brethren, desire earnestly the prophecy, and do not forbid to speak with tongues.” 1 Corinthians 14: 3 – 5, 24, 25 Amp, 29, 31, 32, 39 NKJV “…For the substance (essence) of the truth revealed by JESUS is the SPIRIT of prophecy [the vital breath, the inspiration of all inspired preaching and interpretation of the divine will and purpose, including both mine and yours].” Revelation 19:10 Amp “6) These have power to shut heaven, so that no rain falls in the days of the prophecy; and they have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to strike the earth with all plagues, as often as they desire. “10) And those who dwell on the earth will rejoice over them, make merry, and send gifts to one another, because these two prophets tormented those who dwell on the earth.” Revelation 11:6, 10 NKJV The difference between prophesying and a prophet To explain the difference between having the ability to prophecy and being a prophet, I would like to compare this to that of a grocery shop. A grocery shop has three main elements: goods, customers and workers. The goods they have on their shelves are there for anyone to purchase. This represents everything the Church needs to equip the saints with – including the gifts of the HOLY SPIRIT.
  • 24. P a g e | 24 MOVING BEYOND THE VEIL Grocery shops also have their customers. These customers only have two responsibilities namely: behaving themselves and paying for their goods. The one who prophesies is like this customer. They have received, from the HOLY SPIRIT, the gift and ability to prophecy. The gift of prophecy is a function they have received for the purpose of bringing the Kingdom of GOD to the people. It is like receiving the ability to see where they have been blind, but this new eyesight doesn’t give them or make them a prophet. It only provides them with a possible opportunity of receiving the opportunity to become a prophet and therefore they cannot call themselves prophets. The reason they have received this ability is because of their relationship with JESUS CHRIST, the SON of GOD. The result is that they only operate occasionally in these gifts and not all the time, but when they do operate, it is usually only for the purpose to edify, exhort, to comfort, engage in spiritual warfare and to exalt and honor GOD. Another difference is that they don’t need to act as watchmen for the church, like the prophet would have to do and with the receiving of these gifts; they have received a lot more grace than the prophet. Prophets face a harsher judgment than others. For example if a prophet does not warn someone when GOD tells them to warn them, then they will be held accountable for that person’s blood on their hands (Ezekiel 3:16 – 21). Matthew 7:2 (NIV) says:”For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the same measure you use, it will be used to you.” “The prophets are like the shop’s workers. Within this shop they have a permanent position, an office, responsibilities, authority and everything else they need to be successful in their job - namely for the perfecting of the saints and for equipping the Body of CHRIST (Ephesians 4:12). GOD has appointed them into their position and to help them carry the responsibilities that come with this position, GOD has placed on their lives a special anointing which equips them with everything they need in order to fulfill their mandate successfully. Just like the shelves are continuously stocked, likewise the prophet manifests continuously in their gifts anywhere, anytime so the Body of CHRIST, the Christians, may be continuously re-equipped to do what GOD has called them to do successfully and with excellence. The prophet doesn’t live for themselves anymore. They live first for CHRIST, then for the Church and the Body of CHRIST and then only for themselves.” In 1 Thessalonians 5:19 -21 (Amp) we read that when we despise prophecy it is like quenching the SPIRIT. It says: “19) Do not quench (suppress or subdue) the [HOLY] SPIRIT, “20) Do not spurn the gifts and utterances of the prophets [do not depreciate prophetic revelations nor despise inspired instruction or exhortation or warning]. “21) But test and prove all things [until you can recognize] what is good, [to that] hold fast.” So how is worship prophetic? During worship we exalt and lift up the Name of YAH, we honor HIM, we pray, we intercede, we engage in spiritual warfare, through our voices we make declarations, by speaking and proclaiming the Word we are being equipped, we encourage others (believe me, worship that comes from a pure heart has a major impact on the people around this worshipper); it edifies and comforts us; it prepares our very beings for the workings of the HOLY SPIRIT, it opens up our spiritual ears so that we might hear YAH’s voice with more clarity, it brings heaven to earth and it helps us on our spiritual journey into moving beyond the veil.
  • 25. P a g e | 25 MOVING BEYOND THE VEIL During the chapters that is to come, I will be going into a more in depth discussion on how worship is related to the prophetic and as we continue on our journey into moving beyond the veil, it is my heart’s desire that you engage the topic and the information I will be sharing with you in prayer and with an open mind. Doesn’t the prophetic belong to the Old Testament alone? The Word of GOD says: “28) And it shall come to pass afterward that I will pour out MY SPIRIT on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions; “29) And also on MY menservants and MY maidservants I will pour out MY SPIRIT in those days.” Joel 2:28, 29 NKJV “6) These have power to shut heaven, so that no rain falls in the days of the prophecy; and they have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to strike the earth with all plagues, as often as they desire. “10) And those who dwell on the earth will rejoice over them, make merry, and send gifts to one another, because these two prophets tormented those who dwell on the earth.” Revelation 11:6, 10 NKJV “Rejoice over her, o Heaven, and you holy apostles and prophets, for GOD has avenged you on her!” Revelation 18:20 NKJV “Then he said to me: “See that you do not do that. For I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren the prophets, and of those who keep the words of this book. Worship GOD.” Revelation 22:9 NKJV “Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you by prophecy with the laying on of hands of the presbytery.” 1 Timothy 4:14 NKJV “18) This charge I commit to you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you may wage the good warfare… “19) Having faith and a good conscience, which some having rejected, concerning the faith have suffered shipwreck.” 1 Timothy 1:18, 19 NKJV “19) Do not quench the SPIRIT… “20) “Do not despise prophecies… “21) Test all things; hold fast what is good.” 1 Thessalonians 5:19 – 21 NKJV “And GOD has appointed these in the church; first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after miracles, then gifts of healing, helps, administration, varieties of tongues.” 1 Corinthians 12:28 NKJV “11) And HE HIMSELF gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers.
  • 26. P a g e | 26 MOVING BEYOND THE VEIL “12) For the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the Body of CHRIST. “13) Till we all come to the unity of the faith and the knowledge of the SON of GOD, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of CHRIST. “14) That we should no longer be children tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness by which they lie in wait to deceive.” Ephesians 4:11 – 14 NKJV “Having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, JESUS CHRIST HIMSELF being the chief cornerstone.” Ephesians 2:20 NKJV “See that you do not refuse HIM who speaks. For if they did not escape who refused HIM who spoke on earth, much more shall we not escape if we turn away from HIM who speaks from Heaven.” Hebrews 12:25 NKJV I strongly believe that every child of YAH must flow in the gift of prophecy to a certain degree at least, because the gift of YAH reveals to you HIS divine will and purpose for you and for others. Every child of GOD must know what HIS divine will is for their lives or else how would this child be able to live a life of obedience unto HIM? And how will a child of GOD be able to walk in a life of abundance, in fruitfulness, prosperity, blessings and in holiness, if this child doesn’t know what HIS divine will is for him/her? And when this child encounters someone who is in a desperate need for GOD, how will this child be able to reach out to this broken soul if they don’t know what YAH’s will and purpose is for that person and how will this believer in CHRIST know how to minister to this person if they do not have the SPIRIT of prophecy residing within them to at least a certain degree? And if a child of GOD doesn’t have the gift of prophesy, how will this child be able to discern between the different spirits and spare his/her own life from deception and all other dangers, if s/he is unable to hear the voice of YAH in such a profound way, that they could take heed when the danger arises? In the day and age we live in, with the manifestation of the real, big Antichrist just around the corner, every child of GOD must have this gift in order to protect them from the snares of the Antichrist and the False Prophet or else they will be deceived. There are no two ways about it. Evidence of New Testament prophecy: “Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near.” Revelation 1:3 NKJV “And he said to me, “You must prophesy again about many peoples, nations, tongues and kings.” Revelation 10:11 NKJV “7) Behold I come quickly! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book” “10) And he said to me, “Do not seal the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is at hand.” Revelation 22:7, 10 NKJV “19) We also have the prophetic word made more sure, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts. “20) Knowing this first that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation.
  • 27. P a g e | 27 MOVING BEYOND THE VEIL “21) For prophecy never came by will of man, but holy men of GOD spoke as they were moved by the HOLY SPIRIT.” 2 Peter 1:19 – 21 NKJV Prophecy versus Sorcery Prophecy: When a prophet foretells of what is to come, it is almost always in confirmation to what YAH has already been sharing with you. GOD always reveals HIS plans to us via HIS prophets as well. Amos 3:7 – 8 (NKJV) says: “Surely the LORD GOD does nothing, unless HE reveals HIS secret to HIS servants the prophets; 8) A lion has roar! Who will not fear? The LORD GOD has spoken! Who can but prophecy?” Sorcery: The information that comes from sorcery is never from GOD and is never in line with the will of GOD, even when it appears to be. Prophecy: A prophet always speaks words of peace and comfort and healing and a reverend fear for YAH; and where harsh judgments are spoken out, it is always spoken through the heart and spirit of repentance and never to evoke fear in the heart of the listener. Sorcery: Sorcery will always stir fear in the heart of the listener (this fear can be compared to the fear people experience who believes that 7 years of calamity awaits the person who breaks a mirror). Prophecy: The truth is always spoken, because GOD cannot lie (Numbers 23:19). Sorcery: The truth is only spoken when it is for the benefit of the sorceress (Acts 16:16 – 19), otherwise a near truth, but never the whole truth is being told. Examples: A true prophet will say something like: “I hear YAH says that HE loves you very much and I can see HE is opening a door way for you that will lead to great opportunities. It is a door of opportunity that you have longed prayed and desired for you to open. Not all the trials and opposition were able to quench this desire. It is a desire that has remained to continue to be with you even when you felt like quitting and giving up because you simply just got too weary to continue on this road to follow your dream. YAH is saying, be strong and persevere for you are, as I speak, entering and going through this door. Your time has come at last.” A false prophet on the other hand will say something like: “I can see a door way in heaven is opening up to you. I can hear GOD saying to you that you have to go through it, but know that even though what is lying behind that door is full of promises, there is also much heartache waiting for you. I also hear HIM say that you should be careful when you go through this door.” As you have read these two prophecies, have you noticed that the first prophecy was encouraging, that it was filled with words or reassurance and comfort and that it has evoked a feeling of absolute peace and that the second prophecy was discouraging and actually made you too scared to go through that open door? Even though both of these prophecies might be true, just because it is the truth, doesn’t mean that those words came from YAH. GOD will never give you cause to fear because love knows no fear (1 John 4:18 “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made
  • 28. P a g e | 28 MOVING BEYOND THE VEIL perfect in love.”).2 When a true prophet do need to add something negative like the prophets Isaiah, Ezekiel and Jeremiah had to do, it will sound a lot like the words spoken in Deuteronomy 28 where YAH says: If you abide in ME and are obedient and continue to follow MY laws, all these blessings will be showered upon you, but if you fail to abide in ME, if you turn your backs on ME and do not repent then you can expect the following to happen to you. When the prophets Isaiah, Ezekiel and Jeremiah spoke about the destruction of Jerusalem and Israel and Judah that would be taken into exile, YAH has always given them an opportunity to repent before HE followed through on HIS word and the same applies to a true prophet. If a true prophet does need to warn you about your future, it will either be to bring you back to a place of repentance, or it would be to help you keep strong in the LORD during those troubled times or to give you clarification and a clear understanding about the events that is about to take place. For instance: John prophesied in Revelations about the upcoming Tribulation when the Antichrist will launch one final full blown attack upon the Church and Israel. This YAH has given to us 2000 years so that we can know and understand what is happening when it is happening and so that we might have complete peace of mind, hope and strength to endure during this time. Here is another example out of my own personal life: There was this one great leader who has seen that some hard times were waiting for me, but instead of speaking it out and telling me what was about to come, he only said that he heard YAH saying that HE is going to work in my life for period in a way that was not previously possible for HIM when the boys was with me.” I understood what he meant and that has helped me understand my future better and it has helped me to be better prepared. In another incident, GOD HIMSELF has warned me of what was to come in my near future, but with one difference. HE gave the whole picture of what was to come. The result of this revelation was that I had experienced complete peace of mind. I knew GOD was in control. This revelation has strengthened and encouraged and protected me, it has served as a road map, giving me guidance during a time I did not know which way to go and it has resulted in me doing intensive spiritual preparation in the way HE has showed me too. The end result was, even though the road I had to walk was so painful and even though the road was so incredibly dark, I have managed, by HIS grace, to persevere through it all. Identifying the false prophet: a) Some background information When it comes to discerning who are false prophets and who not, we have to remember this one very important fact – true prophets of YAH do make mistakes, but that does NOT make them false prophets. As human beings we can make mistakes and sometimes it does happen that what we thought we heard or saw was information which GOD has given to us and therefore it can happen that a prophet wrongly prophecy over you, but that does not make them false prophets either. As human beings we are capable of receiving important information about a person from various sources. Most of this information which we receive is from what we see and perceive with our eyes, but other times it can be from what we are physically experiencing, our emotions, knowledge we have about a particular person and our thoughts. Any perceptive person can gain a lot of information about a certain person by merely reading that person’s body language and looking into their eyes. What many people don’t know is that touch can also give you a lot of personal information about a particular person. Let me give you an example out of my own life: 2 NKJV
  • 29. P a g e | 29 MOVING BEYOND THE VEIL Our bodies are constantly sending out messages and signals to the people out there. I have learned how to read these signs and signals. Most of these readings happen unconsciously and therefore I am unaware of what I am reading, but there are times when I deliberately focus my attention on someone (like when I need to minister to someone or when I have to assess a certain situation) and that is when the information I have gathered in my unconscious mind (if there is any) along with the information I am perceiving at that very moment is brought to my conscious mind so that I am fully aware of the knowledge that I have in my possession. My eyes and my touch senses have become especially sensitive in knowing what is going on in someone’s heart and life without them saying one word to me. However, the ability to read people like this, does not mean I could prophesy. Information gathered in this manner does not mean it was necessarily given to me by the HOLY SPIRIT in a manner of a word of knowledge or prophecy. It could have been given to me by the HOLY SPIRIT, but not necessarily always. A particular danger I have experienced during the times I minister to people, is my sensitivity to touch. Before I learned about the prophetic and gained some knowledge on the do’s and do not’s, I did not know that a person can learn some very important information about someone else by merely holding their hand. Neither did I know that I was sensitive to touch as well. That information GOD has only revealed to me during the time I was receiving my personal training from HIM and my coaches. During this time YAH has revealed to me that the signals that comes from the other person’s body, mingles in with HIS voice and that what I sometimes have spoken, even though they were true, were not always words that came from HIM. It is for this very reason that I have become very reluctant to so much as hug a person and why I would only hold a person’s hand when I minister to someone when YAH tells me to do so. If GOD does not tell me that I must touch or hold a specific person I am ministering too, I will maybe only slightly touch a person lightly on the shoulder or on the head with the tips of my fingers, or in special cases, I’ll change my grip. My personal experience of my sensitivity to touch is a classical example of how a prophet unintentionally can give a wrong message or at least a message that was not SPIRIT filled to someone else. b) How to identify a false prophet Identifying a false prophet is no easy task and it requires that each and every believer in CHRIST must exercise all the discernment and wisdom they have received from GOD. A lot of the identification process lies within the conviction that comes from your spirit. Many times your spirit would tell you that this person is false, but there is no outward evidence that this might be the case. In many instances a false prophet might have been a born again Christian before they have turned their backs on GOD. In other instances, they will say that they have been born again or that they are Christians. A false prophet can be anyone. They can be the preacher standing behind the pulpit. They can even be a believer in JESUS CHRIST who has somewhere in the past opened a door to Satan to blindfold them and therefore a false prophet is not always aware that they are prophesying falsely. Many times these prophets just need someone who would open their eyes for the truth so that they can repent and turn away from these deeds. An example of such a case is found in 1 Kings 22 where Micaiah, the son of Imla, came and prophesied to King Ahab, the king of Israel, that he will die if he goes into war with King Jehoshaphat, the king of Judah. In the meantime a lying spirit came over about 400 prophets who were also sitting in the council of the king and they told the king that he will not die, but prosper.
  • 30. P a g e | 30 MOVING BEYOND THE VEIL In essence this example illustrates to us that even the prophets of GOD can sometimes receive the wrong information, but that at the very heart of it, it does not make them a false prophet. So prophesying falsely doesn’t make you any less of a Christian. However, if the person is fully aware of their deeds and fail to repent, then yes, the chances of them entering Heaven should they die at that very minute, is next to zero. c) Basic traits of a true false prophet “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. 16) You will know them by their fruits…” (Matthew 7:15 – 16a NKIV) So let me give you a basic outline of a true false prophet. In other words, a person who has turned their backs upon CHRIST completely or who never had CHRIST in their lives before: 1) Don’t look at their outward appearance. Can you still remember what has happened at the house of Jesse, the house where David, the son of Jesse stayed and Samuel, the prophet wanted to anoint a new king for Israel? Samuel wanted to anoint all the other brothers because of their good outward appearance, until YAH told him that HE searches the heart. Many times a false prophet will have good looks and outward charisma that simply draws people to them like magnet, but their hearts are defiled. Matthew 7:15 (Amp) says: “Beware of false prophets, who come to you dressed as sheep, but inside they are devouring wolves.” 2) Look at their fruit. Matthew 7:16 says: “You will fully recognize them by their fruits…” Identifying false prophets by searching for the fruit in their lives is not as easy as it sounds. As Matthew 7:15 said, they are dressed in sheep’s clothing, meaning they fake the fruits and they are experts in hiding the truth of their real character. Furthermore, there is this problem that Christians world-wide fall short in many of these areas, making identifying the false prophet even more difficult. However, there is one fruit that cannot be faked and that is love. John 13:35 says: “By this all will know that you are MY disciples, if you have love for one another” (NKJV). Added to this is the fact that we as Christians are constantly being condemned for “judging” other people. The truth, however, is that we as Christians must judge the fruit (not the person) in order to discern who on earth are truly born-again Christians and who are not. We also need this discernment if we want to protect ourselves spiritually against the wolves that have penetrated the church buildings. And when we read Galatians 5:18 – 26 and Matthew 7:15 – 17 it is clear that judging the fruit of a person is more a matter of a command than it is a choice. Judging a person’s fruit is measuring that person’s moral and spiritual character against the guidelines given in the Word of GOD so that we may not be deceived. If we are not allowed to judge anyone in any way, how are we going to be able to judge the ultimate Antichrist and False Prophet which YAH speaks about in HIS Word in Revelation? 3) False prophets have mastered the art of communication. They are finely skilled in not only justifying their acts and making you look bad, but also in pursuing you to get you on their side. Their words are finely seasoned and any word of deception or lie is finely covered under a blanket of justifiable arguments.
  • 31. P a g e | 31 MOVING BEYOND THE VEIL Colossians 2:8 (NLT) says: “Don’t let anyone capture you with empty philosophies and high-sounding nonsense that come from human thinking and from the spiritual powers of this world, rather than from CHRIST.” One argument that seems to win everyone over is that they would say: “I had a Heavenly encounter” or “revelation”. Or they would say: “YESHUA took me to heaven and showed me all these wonderful things.” Don’t get me wrong, people do get these encounters, but please be on an extra alert when someone comes to you with these claims, because even false prophets have “heavenly” encounters – just the wrong “heavenly” encounter. Colossians 2:18 (Amp) says: “Let no one defraud you by acting as an umpire and declaring you unworthy and disqualifying you from the prize, insisting on self-abasement and worship of angels, taking his stand on visions [he claims] he has seen, vainly puffed up by his sensuous notions and inflated by his unspiritual thoughts and fleshly conceit.” Galatians 1:8 (NIV): “But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under GOD’s curse!” d) Signs of a false prophet So even though the false prophets carefully disguise their true character, there are some signs you can look out for to put you on alert. The fruits you have to be on the lookout for then are: • Love: Are they more lovers of themselves, or do they truly love others? To measure love I advise you use 1 Corinthians 13 as a measuring stick, because giving money and visiting orphanages and prisoners alone is not enough to say a person has love. To find out if a person really has the love of YAH inside them, ask yourself: “What is the motive behind their actions? Is it to promote themselves and to show to the world how good they are or is their actions driven by another force that has really placed your needs above their own?” Also ask yourself: “How sacrificial is their love?” • Jealousy and Competition: False prophets do not like people who could steal the spotlight from them and therefore, behind the scenes, they will do everything in their power to subtly remove a potential threat in a manner that would make it difficult for you to blame the prophet. Telling stories and false accusations is one example. Emotional and spiritual abuse another. • D.I.M – Domination, intimidation and manipulation: These are the three evils that exist almost within every single church at this very present time. Leaders, but especially false prophets, like to remain and be in control of the people they minister to like one controls puppets. One way in which they manage to achieve this, is by putting you on a guilt trip. Another is using worship in such a way that they “work” you up. Did you ever see how some spiritual leaders act when a specific congregation fails to say yes and amen at the appropriate times? • 32. P a g e | 32 MOVING BEYOND THE VEIL false prophets work on feeling and have no regards to the working of the HOLY SPIRIT. The end result is that the church members go all wild, screaming and shouting and jumping and just going crazy. 1 Corinthians 14:33 says: “For GOD is not the author of confusion (disorder)3 but of peace…” (NKJV) Domination, intimidation and manipulation are practices of witchcraft and witchcraft is an occultic practice and a huge sin. • Mammon: The spirit of mammon (i.e. money) and wealth will be ruling their lives (2 Timothy 3:1 – 5). With this I don’t mean that a child of GOD may not have money or wealth. On the contrary, it is YAH’s desire for us to have these so that we may bless others. YAH does not want us to suffer lack or want anything or else what will the people who do not believe yet say about HIS children. They will mock us and ask: “Why should we believe? We don’t want to end up poor and have lack like you do. Besides, where is your GOD? Doesn’t HE care about you?” So yes, having money and wealth is also important to GOD, but where it comes to false prophets, these things tend to rule and control them and they will do anything within their power to get their hands on the gold – even to the extend where they will manipulate you or hypnotize you if they must. One way these false prophets tend to make money is by asking money for every prophetic word they give you. Now you have to listen to me, there is no way on this earth where ANY prophet may ask you money for any given word that comes from the mouth of YAH, because even if the word is from YAH, if they fail to give you that word because you did not give them money, they have act in essence in disobedience unto HIM. Yes, prophets can ask from time to time money for certain services rendered such as counseling, but even here they cannot make it an absolute. Sometimes there are people out there who are in a desperate need for GOD, but who have no food (that is usually when they are so desperate). For a prophet to then ask a fixed amount of service fee would be like slaughtering your neighbors only cow while you have a thousand mooing in your own yard. Yes, the Word of the LORD says that you have to honor a prophet that comes from HIM, but there are many ways in which you can honor a prophet. Money is not the only way. And with this I want to add: Only give money when YAH has explicitly told you to give and only give the amount HE has laid upon your heart. To avoid going on emotional joyrides and then give money, based on my experience during for instance a church service or any other ministering service, I always ask YAH beforehand if HE wants me to sow money today, where HE wants me to sow the money and how much. I even ask this with my tithes and offerings. Sometimes YAH wants me to give more than my usually tithing and sometimes I have to give more or less offering than I have originally planned to give. Doing this, have countless of times protected me from falling in the trap of for instance a guilty conscious or the trap of my emotions which has been set on fire. 3 NIV
  • 33. P a g e | 33 MOVING BEYOND THE VEIL False prophets therefore tend to always be very rich and wealthy people. To know whether a prophet is real or not, try find out how they get their money? Is it through unlawful practices? Is it through manipulation or intimidation? Is it through fraudulent practices? • Holiness: What kind of life does the prophet lead behind the scene where no one sees him or her? Do they live in an upright, intimate relationship with YAH? Do they adhere to living a life that glorifies YAH? Do they live a life of integrity? Do they lead a life of obedience unto YAH as outline in the Scriptures? How do they treat their spouse behind the scenes (if they have one)? How do they treat their children? • Boastful and full of themselves: False prophets love to boast about their achievements and hang everything on a big clock, heralding and echoing it where ever they go. Numbers are very important to them and with numbers I mean the amount of followers they have, the amount of people they have “healed” and the number of people whom they have “helped” to get out of a financial debt. They love it when people “worship” them, telling in front of them to a multitude of people that this prophet has done this and that and this was the miraculous result. If possible they will grab every chance they can get to get an opportunity to appear on the television or on a radio show, even if it means that they will have to pay for it (2 Timothy 3:1 – 5) Their un/conscious purpose is to place your focus on them and not on YAH. They also want to make you become (unconsciously) dependent upon them, making you believe that you do not have the same power and gift as they do and that only they are capable of “saving” you. This is contradictory to the Scriptures that say: “3) May blessing (praise, laudation, and eulogy) be to the GOD and FATHER of our LORD JESUS CHRIST with every spiritual (given by the HOLY SPIRIT) blessing in the heavenly realm. “7) In HIM we have redemption (deliverance and salvation) through HIS blood, the remission (forgiveness) of our offenses (shortcomings and trespasses); in accordance with the riches and the generosity of HIS gracious favor. “8) Which HE lavished upon us in every kind of wisdom and understanding (practical insight and prudence), “9) Making known to us the mystery (secret) of HIS will (of HIS plan, of HIS purpose). [And it is this:] In accordance with HIS good pleasure (HIS merciful intention) which HE had previously purposed and set forth in HIM, “13) In HIM also who have heard the Word of Truth, the glad tidings (Gospel) of your salvation, and have believed in and adhered to and relied on HIM, were stamped with the seal of the long-promised HOLY SPIRIT.” Ephesians 1: 3, 7 – 9, 13 Amp “8) For it is by free grace (GOD’s unmerited favor) that you are saved (delivered from judgment and made partakers of CHRIST’s salvation) through [your] faith. And this [salvation] is not of yourselves [of your own doing, it came not through your own striving], but it is the gift of GOD.
  • 34. P a g e | 34 MOVING BEYOND THE VEIL “9) Not because of works [not the fulfillment of the Law’s demands], lest any man should boast. [It is not the result of what anyone can possibly do, so no one can pride himself in it or take glory to himself].” Ephesians 2:8 – 9 Amp 4) Something else you need to know is that, Satan only knows a limited amount of details in regards to your future, because whatever manifests in your life today, has already happened in the spiritual realm sometime in your past (and with some time, it can be anything from a few seconds ago to a few weeks ago). Therefore, “prophecy” that is being given to you from a wrong spirit (e.g. like when you go to read your hand palm) has been made based on the knowledge Satan has on your past, presence, near future, personality, character, the mistakes you make, the words you speak, the people you associate yourself with, the pattern of your decisions you have made thus far and your dreams and desire. You must also know that Satan can to a certain degree control your future. It just depends on how much control you give him. One way you can give him control over your life is through fear. Another is by being ignorant to his workings, another is disobedience and yet another is when you would for instances go to places where you ask people to read your hand palm. One of the ways Satan can control your future is by making use of various sources such as by making use of manipulation, domination, intimidation, fear, people and by telepathy (that is when someone else places their thoughts into your mind making you believe it is yours). To help explain this theory better, I have added 2 examples. Example 1: An example of how Satan can place his thoughts into someone else’ mind comes from a story out of my own life. Sometime ago I met a person I like to call Mr. X. What he did was, he used telepathy very successfully on me to gain access to a certain church leader’s house (Mr. Y) so that he could inflict Mr. Y terrible pain and place curses upon his house. This has been confirmed to me when Mr. X told me that evening how he, when no one was watching, went through Mr. Y’s house to “anoint” certain places. The next morning I found out that Mr. Y was experiencing excruciating pain and that he had a terrible night. It was also brought to light that this experience is abnormal to the given situation. In another incident I was on my way to drop Mr. X off at his house when a very strange thought came to mind that I should give my only car to him for free. Since I was busy praying in the SPIRIT at that specific point in time I immediately knew that this thought did not come from GOD and was I able to resist this thought. As it happened to be, the LORD also opened the mouth of Mr. X where he has made known me of his personal desire for me to give my car to him for free. And this is how the LORD protected me from serious harm and this is how Satan uses telepathy to control our thoughts.
  • 35. P a g e | 35 MOVING BEYOND THE VEIL Example 2: Another way Satan can manipulate our future to a large degree is by using people. The most common tactic he uses to do this is that he would use certain people in your life to constantly speak certain things over your life until it has become part of your “identity” of who you believe you are. These people can be literally be anyone from your family and friends, to your school teacher and classmates, to the church and its leaders, to your boss and co-workers at your workplace. For instance: A mother tells her daughter that she is just like her father or that she will never make a success of her career/ life or that she is fat. If a person stands in ignorance to these words, the chances are good that these words will have a negative impact on this person’s life and send him/her into the wrong direction of their life. So how does this pertain to the false prophets? The false prophet works on the same principles. Just like I am able to read people without having it necessarily being a word of knowledge from YAH, likewise the false prophets can read us. Added to that, the false prophet is spiritually connected to the kingdom of darkness and all the lies that it contains and from this source the false prophet receives all the information he or she needs in regards to your life to help them make accurate deductions and predictions on your life. 5) Another character trade you have to take into account is that false prophets can also perform signs, wonders and miracles. Remember, the great False Prophet of Revelation will also call out fire from heaven (Revelation 13:13 – 14; 16:14; 2 Thessalonians 2:9 - 12). “For false messiahs and false prophets will rise up and perform great signs and wonders so as to deceive, if possible, even GOD’s chosen one.” Matthew 24:24 NLT “1) Suppose there are prophets among you or those who dream dreams about the future, and they promise you signs or miracles, “2) And they predicted signs or miracles occur, if they then say, ‘Come, let us worship other gods’ – gods you have not known before – “3) Do not listen to them. The LORD your GOD is testing you to see if you truly love HIM with all your heart and soul.” Deuteronomy 13: 1 – 3 NLT 6) False prophets also encourage rebellion against our GOD (Deuteronomy 13:5). 7) False prophets also do not encounter a lot of rejection and they do not experience persecution, but are rather received with open arms by people wherever they go. Yes, due to curses that are upon them they do from time to time experience hardship or people will oppose them because these people have seen whom these prophets really are, but they rarely if ever experience rejection.
  • 36. P a g e | 36 MOVING BEYOND THE VEIL Luke 6:22, 23 and 26 (Amp) says: “22) Blessed (happy – with life-joy and satisfaction in GOD’s favor and salvation, apart from your outward condition – and to be envied) are you when people despise (hate) you and when they exclude and excommunicate you (as disreputable) and revile and denounce you and defame and cast out and spurn your name as evil (wicked) on account of the SON of MAN. “23) Rejoice and be glad at such a time and exult and leap for joy, for behold, your reward is rich and great and strong and intense and abundant in heaven; for even so their forefathers treated the prophets. “26) Woe to (alas for) you when everyone speaks fairly and handsomely of you and praises you, for even so their forefathers did to the false prophets.” “18) If the world hates you, know that it hated ME before it hated you. “19) If you belonged to the world, the world would treat you with affection and would love you as its own. But because you are not of the world [no longer one with it], but I have chosen (selected) you out of the world, the world hates (detests) you. “20) Remember that I told you, ‘A servant is not greater than his master [is not superior to him].’ If they persecuted you; if they kept MY word and obeyed MY teachings, they will also keep and obey yours. “21) But they will do all this to you [inflict all this suffering on you] because of [your bearing] MY Name and on MY account, for they do not know or understand the ONE WHO send ME.” John 15:18 – 21 Amp “1) I have told you these things so that you won’t abandon your faith. “2) For you will be expelled from the synagogues (today it might be from churches), and the time is coming when those who kill you will think they are doing a holy service for GOD. “3) This is because they have never known the FATHER or ME.” John 16:1 - 3 NLT “14) I have given and delivered to them YOUR Word (message) and the world has hated them, because they are not of the world [do not belong to the world], just as I am not of the world. “15) I do not ask that YOU will take them out of the world, but that YOU will keep and protect them from the evil one.” John 17:14, 15 Amp False prophets are people who portrays a strong, confident personality. They are people who have strong leadership and people skills and they have a charisma that draws people to them like a magnet. These are people that are high in demand and are highly sought after. Now please note here, a true prophet can, and from time to time does, experience a lot of popularity and a true prophet of YAH can become well known and well sought after, but these prophets also experience an equal amount, if not more persecution, but especially rejection, from other people at the same time.
  • 37. P a g e | 37 MOVING BEYOND THE VEIL The life of YESHUA is a classical example of this. As long as HE was ministering to people in the area around Galilee, crowds of people have followed HIM wherever HE went, to the extent where YESHUA had to ask HIS disciples to take HIM out on the lake just so that HE can have a small time of privacy. But when YESHUA went to Nazareth, HIS home town or to Jerusalem, HE was not regarded at all, but rather persecuted even to the point where HE ended up being crucified. 8) A false prophet is not a loner, but a true prophet tends to be more of a loner. Colette Toach from the Apostolic Mission International Organization wrote: “Yet I would tell you that the one who is riding the wave of popularity and are welcomed with open arms by every status quo system is more likely a deception sent of the enemy than the one who stands alone.” Evidence to confirm this statement is found with the switch of a TV button. You just need to look at all the Hollywood stars and their followers to know that this fact is true. Also, when we look at the lives of the prophets Samuel, Jeremiah, Isaiah, Ezekiel and John the Baptist to name but a few, we can clearly see that their lives are marked with life of seclusion and isolation. None of these prophets ever had a lot of friends and they didn’t have much of a social life either. 9) False prophets speak words that will sooth the ear of the listener. 1 John 4:5 (Amp) says: “They proceed from the world and are of the world; therefore it is out of the world [its whole economy morally considered] that they speak, and the world listens (pay attention) to them” And 2 Timothy 4:3, 4 says: “3) For the time is coming when [people} will not tolerate (endure) sound and wholesome instruction, but, having ears itching [for something pleasing and gratifying], they will gather to themselves one teacher after another to a considerable number, chosen to satisfy their own liking and to foster the errors they hold 4) And will turn aside from hearing the truth and wander off into myths and man-made fictions.” 10) A false prophet does not know what it really means to serve, but is rather being served. A false prophet is in many ways being treated like a king, so to speak, In contrast to this, a true prophet first learns to serve and continues to do so their whole life long in the spirit of true humility. 11) False prophets will follow a heretical doctrine, a doctrine that is contradictory to the Word of the LORD, yet so subtle in its change that it is hard to recognize it sometimes. Their doctrine and teachings will lead you away from YAH and not towards HIM. “1) But understand this, that in the last days will come (set in) perilous times of great stress and trouble [hard to deal with and hard to bear]. “2) For people will be lovers of self and [utterly] self-centered, lovers of money and aroused by an inordinate [greedy] desire for wealth, proud and arrogant and contemptuous boasters. They will be abusive (blasphemous, scoffing), disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy and profane. “3) [They will be] without natural [human] affection (callous and inhuman), relentless (admitting of no truce or appeasement), [they will be] slanderers (false accusers, troublemakers), intemperate and loose in morals and conduct, uncontrolled and fierce, haters of good. “4) [They will be] treacherous [betrayers], rash, [and] inflated with self-conceit. [They will be] lovers of sensual pleasures and vain amusements more than and rather than lover of GOD.
  • 38. P a g e | 38 MOVING BEYOND THE VEIL “5) For [although] they hold a form of piety (true religion), they deny and reject and are strangers to the power of it [their conduct belies the genuineness of their profession]. Avoid [all] such people [turn away from them].” 2 Timothy 3:1 – 5 Amp “1) But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the LORD who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction. “2) And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed. “3) By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words; for a long time their judgment has not been idle, and their destruction does not slumber. “10) And especially those who walk according to the flesh in the lust of uncleanness and despise authority. They are self-willed; they are not afraid to speak evil of dignitaries. “12) But these, like natural brute beasts made to be caught and destroyed, speak evil of the things they do not understand, and will utterly perish in their own corruption. “13) And will receive the wages of unrighteousness, as those who count it pleasure to carouse in the daytime. They are spots and blemishes, carousing in their own deceptions while they feast with you. “14) Having eyes full of adultery and that cannot cease from sin, beguiling unstable souls. They have a heart trained in covetous practices, and are accursed children. “15) They have forsaken the right way and gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Beor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness. “18) For when they speak great swelling words of emptiness, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through licentiousness, the ones who have actually escaped from those who live in error. “19) While they promise them liberty, they themselves are slaves of corruption; for by whom a person is overcome, by him also is brought into bondage. “21) For it would have been better for them to not have known the way of righteousness, than having known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered to them.” 2 Peter 2:1 – 3, 10, 12 – 15, 18, 19, 21 NKJV “For many deceivers have gone out into the world who do not confess JESUS CHRIST as coming in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.” 2 John 7 NKJV “1) Whoever believes that JESUS is the CHRIST is born of GOD, and everyone who loves HIM who begot also love him who is begotten of HIM. “2) By this we know that we are the children of GOD, when we love GOD and keep HIS commandments.” 1 John 5:1, 2 NKJV “1) Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of GOD; because many false prophets have gone into the world. “2) By this you know the SPIRIT of GOD; Every spirit that confesses that JESUS CHRIST has come in the flesh is of GOD. “3) And every spirit that does not confess that JESUS CHRIST has come in the flesh is not of GOD. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world. “5) They are of the world. Therefore they speak as of the world, and the world hears them.
